We called two days before our arrival and were told there happened to be availability for the two nights we were going to be in the area

We were skeptical but Nancy sounded so sweet that we decided to try the Gardiner Guest house

Upon arrival we were greeted by flowers galore in the courtyard and an oasis of tranquility in a very busy town!

We were taken to the Hobbit house, and the atmosphere, charm, attention to detail, and cleanliness quickly became evident.

Unlike other b&b’s everything you may need was supplied from coffee to cookies to power bars and even bath crystals.

In the morning we arrived for breakfast at 8am and were immersed in a variety of foods custom made to our allergy’s and taste. I had to get the recipes for the chicken sausages and homemade pancake syrup. The fruits, variety of teas, hot cereal, and juices were overwhelming
Best of all Nancy sat with us and told us the fascinating story of how the Gardiner guest house came to be! The second day, breakfast was again delicious with a completely different menu.

If perhaps you are into fly fishing, her husband Richard owns the fly fishing shop next door. He has been there since 1955 and knows every fish personally 🤓

I can not recommend this wonderful experience enough and will tell anyone that if you don’t check out Gardiner Guest House yourself, your really missing out!

Did I mention it’s 5 minutes away from the north entrance to the park?

Suzanne and I made a friend for life and will be back!

We stayed 5 nights in this wonderful house located in Gardiner, which might be the best location for visiting Yellowstone as the town is only 5 minutes drive from Mammoth. Mémé Nancy is such a nice host and treated us like her family. Mémé is the French term for grandma and we learned this from Nancy. Nancy is a French lady. Indeed, she was just like my 4-year-old daughter's mémé. Nancy prepared a lot of toys for her and made her bed very cozy. Nancy also babysit her when we were out for laundry. Nancy prepared us nice and different food in each of the 5 mornings and had breakfast with us every morning. Interestingly, we spent a couple of hours in the house every morning before I went to the park because my wife and Nancy chatted for an hour or longer. Nancy also prepared some snacks for us to take to the park every morning. Yes, we did feel home in this house. It was like visiting our parents or grandma rather than staying in a business. More than a month passed, my daughter still miss Nancy's house. We'll have to visit Nancy again.

Gardiner Guest House was the perfect location for my wife and I celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary to get away and explore Yellowstone. We stayed in their 1BR, 1BA cabin behind the Gardiner Guest House for more privacy. It’s location in Gardner’s downtown area and allowed us quick access to the park via the north entrance for all three day excursions making the most of our time. The small but very functional kitchen was invaluable allowing us to save money and time to cook our easy meals and hors d’oevors and wine in the comfort of our cabin. Our host Nanc and her husband Richard, a local professional guide, were the kindest gentlest people you’ll meet. Very helpful and accommodating from booking through payment. The breakfasts were delicious and their early coffee delivery to our cabin was a nice touch. I would not even bother with hotels in the area and would recommend making the most of their quaint cabin for your stay. Thank You Nanc and Richard! Oh, and Richard, thanks for solving the mystery of the missing swinging footbridge! Hope to see you again in the future when we return with our girls!

The Gardiner Guest House was the perfect place to spend 2 nights in Gardiner! Nancy and Richard have created a clean, comfortable and cozy bed and breakfast!
The bedrooms were thoughtfully decorated and had all of the amenities you might want. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Nancy cooks up some great pancakes and accompaniments. The sideboard was set with fruit, granola, porridge, as well as a variety of beverages and ready for you to help yourself!

Nancy serves as the main contact and innkeeper for the Guest House. She really knows how to make your stay extra special. The cookie jar is stocked and you can easily help yourself to tea, coffee or cookies throughout your stay. She absolutely makes you feel welcome!

Richard is a great resource for those interested in fly fishing as proprietor of Park's Fly Shop which has been a family business since 1953. Cross country skis can also be rented from Richard.

Stay with Nancy and Richard! You will hear great stories and be treated to real Montana hospitality!

We stayed with Nancy and Richard for two nights last weekend and had an absolutely fantastic time! We stayed in their cozy, clean, and comfortable cabin located right in the center of Gardiner. We loved the location as it was perfect to zip into the park every morning. Nancy cooked a delicious homemade breakfast for us every morning in the beautiful main house where we often ran into a little family of elk right outside the front gate! They were so friendly, kind and hospitable and we can't wait to come back and stay with Nancy and Richard again!

This quaint little BNB is nice with comfortable beds and is in a great spot. But Miss Nancy makes it home. From the first time you talk to her on the phone to the minute she hands you provisions for the road, you are treated like she has known you all your life. She truly cares for you. She is an absolute gem!

Staying with Nancy and Richard Parks is like staying with your favorite grandparents who spoil you and you never want to leave. Breakfast offers a different delicious main course each day with multiple side choices so it would be impossible to leave the table still hungry. The B&B is only about a block away from the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

We stayed two nights at the Gardiner Guest House B&B before backpacking the Black Canyon of the Yellowstone and then came back and spent another night after backpacking. Nancy is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. She does a wonderful job with breakfast. Her husband Richard or as she refers to him "Richopedia" is a wealth of knowledge and was very helpful. He also owns the local fly-fishing shop, Parks' Fly Shop. They both are great people and make you feel welcome. The house is very quaint, and our room was clean. Gardiner is a great little town. Would highly recommend the Gardiner Guest House B&B. It is a great value.

Nancy and Richard made us feel very welcome.
Their home is a delight, full of old world charm.... We were so very lucky to be able to stay there.
If you can. GO! and stay. You are bound to come away with the happiest of memories. Its such a magical place
Their breakfasts are fantastic. It was like staying home from home. While we were there I had one of the best nights sleep I had while in America.

Their guest house is virtually in the heart of the lovely town of Gardner, so it it very easy to walk out for dinner or lunch.
Gardner is on the door step of Yellow Stone park making it an ideal place to stay while on tour of the north part of the park.
We would certainly fully recommend staying at this Guest House, in fact it would be silly not to.

Thank you, Nancy and Richard for all you did for us. We wish you all the very best for the future. xxx

Yes, it takes about 5 minutes to get to the entrance of Yellowstone as it is on the border. In fact, the famous arch is in Gardener not Yellowstone. As for the price, I can not remember but it was VERY fare. This is definitely not a fancy inn. It is very shabby chic with terrific innkeepers.

You need to call Nancy 406.848.9414. She does not answer email. It would be good for you to check her website--just search online by the B&B name--so you can see the rooms and the cabin and choose one. We did not pay any deposit last summer. Reservation was done by phone. We highly recommend this place. Nancy and her husband know everything about the park and willing to help.
