We expected rustic charm. Very cute and my teenage daughter liked it, however the bathroom needs major updates and the faucet water smelled like sulfur. Probably won't stay a second time if we come back to Gardiner. For the price I don't think it was that great.

I was visiting Gardiner and struggling to find a place to stay. So I ended up here. It initially struck me as quaint. When I got to my cabin, rustic would be a generous description. Overall, the cabin was in poor to fair condition. It seemed fairly clean. The bedding was clean. No unusual odors. But it was so much in need of a remodel. The electrical wiring was old--a fire waiting to happen. The bathroom ceiling showed water damage. No tub. The shower head was dripping, and the shower stall floor was not in the best of shape. The bathroom window curtain was stained. When I checked in, I signed a statement saying I'd not hold them liable for anything stolen from my car. Hmmm. Doubt I'd stay again.

It's a nice little lodge that becomes uncomfortable during the summer. Each room is nicely equip with refrigerator, microwave, and heater. However, it doesn't have AC for the summer which is needed after a long day of hikes and trips in Yellowstone. The bathroom is clean but very small. Wifi is available at the service counter but you can't really get connected in your own lodge.

Also, it has a bug problem. There is a lot of small, harmless bugs inside but it gets annoying. I would recommend it if you need a cheap place to stay near Yellowstone. If not, find a place with AC.

From the outside, these cabins look very cute. Not so much on the inside. The carpet was nasty, I didn't even take my shoes off. The room had a funny smell. What really topped it off was when we pulled the covers down on the bed, there was a bug in the bed! I then went into the bathroom and a spider crawled across the floor. I didn't even shower in the morning, I was so creeped out by the place. We are also lucky there was no electric problems. Old wiring, certainly cannot be up to code. On the plus side... It was dry, and also quiet. There is a fridge and microwave, but they cannot be plugged in at the same time. We could not hear the dogs which were in a cage out back barking. I should have known this hotel was not a good choice by the condition of the office, which smelled of smoke and was in disarray.

Cute from outside, and people very nice. Carpet filthy, shower dripped and looked too awful w.o. rubber shoes to get in. Mattress comfy but basically whole 1 room was grungy. The wiring looks REALLY dangerous. Stayed two nights and they never made up the room . Trash was full when I moved into the room. When I mentioned this the owners said she'd be sure it was cleaned and the bed made if I stayed over. I chose not to, at %90+ per nite, Wifi didn't work, Basically run down.

Having decided to come up to Yellowstone...we waited last minute to find a place....on route to our destination (Aug 14th) we called to see if they had any rooms available and yes they did. We were still two hours away at 9pm and said to give Starla a call when we arrived.

When we arrived, we were welcomed and given our room. Starla said to catch her in the morning to the payment and such. We had a full size cabin with three queen beds for the five of us.

Starla great my wife in morning. Offered us places to eat and to white water raft. Our trip would have not been such a success if it was not for Starla.

The room was a great, clean rustic cabin - three beds, a fridge, microwave, tv and fan. What more could you ask for in a National Park.

We would highly recommend any this place....and tell Starla we sent you!!!

I was on a photographic journey with no specific plans or reservations. My destination was Yellowstone. As a female traveling alone, security and convenience were two of my highest concerns. I was delighted to find a lovely circle of cabins, with several guests admiring four or five elk lounging in the picnic area, thrilled to be able to park my car directly in front of my room, and glad for the quiet evening the room provided. It WAS rustic, like I was back in the '70s, but the place was so quaint, I didn't mind the smaller TV and somewhat limited space. There was no A/C in the room, but the provided fan worked just fine. I slept like a baby, and got a great shot of an adult elk eating berries off a tree for breakfast the next morning. Who needs Wi-Fi when you're surrounded by wildlife and extremely accommodating hosts? btw, I stayed in Mammoth the following night, with NO TV at all, was "lucky" to have a private bathroom, and was charged $60 more than I paid at Jim Bridger's. I would absolutely stay at Bridger's again!!!

My husband and I stumbled across Jim Bridger on our way into Yellowstone and it was just enough. We had a little cabin with queen bed, tv, shower, and sink outside of bathroom. It was exactly what we paid for, easy to access, felt safe, and had a friendly manager to assist with our check in/out. Would stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay. We had been camping, and with the rain decided to try to get a place at the last minute, and we were very pleasantly surprised at how quiet and comfortable these were. If you shower at night there is plenty of hot water. Room came with a refrigerator and microwave. Very nice TV with a good cable selection. People were friendly, grounds were clean and quiet. We would definitely stay there again.
