What a wonderful discovery. With only a handful of reviews here, a very limited website, it was though booking.com that I took the plunge and booked.

We had a normal room, it was very generous in size with 1 Queen bed ( I wished it had been a king - plenty of room for one ) and a large sofa with 1 small side table. There was a large "box" at the end of the bed with cushions in and a old school desk.

A proper table to sit at would have been a nice option especially if your there for 3+ nights for laptop work, sorting cameras out etc.

Plenty of parking, and walkable to a range of shops and bars and to the river. Minutes to the park gates, up the hill to Mammoth and down into the Lamar Valley for dawn, happy happy days.

The "kitchen end" offered a coffee machine, washing up stuff, some paper plates, disposable cutlery, and mugs for the coffee. All you need really, oh and the microwave and fridge of course.

The bathroom was great, well stocked, loads of towels and spares on top of those, a decent hairdrier! ( hurrah) water pressure was good too.

We received a wonderful warm reception, and should we be passing through Jackson again I would absolutely stay here again

We planned a trip to Yellowstone and wanted to split up our time between the entrances to optimize driving time in the park. We booked one with a river view. The property was perfect for the 2 of us. I'm not certain how old the place we stayed in was, but my husband kept saying I don't know how many people could have stayed here before us, it seemed that new and clean. The beds were very comfortable, with an extra blanket if needed which we did not. The kitchen had everything I needed to make breakfast and dinner for several days, coffee pot and coffee supplies were provided, all the pots/pans were great quality, and there was even a crockpot. Both dishes and paper plates were provided. The appliances were all in great working condition as well. The cabin on the river is more of a townhome type because it is 3 connected/separate 406 Lodge properties, but we never heard anything from the one beside us at all, it is very well-insulated and quiet. The area is a neighborhood at the end of a street and there appear to be multiple VRBO-type places around mixed in with residential housing, with Gardiner being in such close proximity to Yellowstone. I very much enjoyed all of the interactions we had with the owners of 406 Lodge, they were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely love to stay here again if we are back in the area. We loved that Gardiner didn't feel quite as touristy or overwhelming as West Yellowstone. The entrance to Yellowstone National Park, with the iconic Roosevelt Arch is right there in Gardiner, literally less than a 2-minute drive from the property. We walked to 2 of the places we ate out at, The Wonderland Cafe and Lodge (breakfast & coffee) which were amazing and The Cowboy Lodge and Grill (dinner) definitely try the cheese curds & the bison burger was very good. We did drive to the Antler Pub and Grill, one night after leaving the park because it was raining, but it is also very close and could be walked to. The meatloaf sandwich was amazing and very flavorful there.

We loved our stay here! The room was beautiful and very clean. The owners made great recommendations for places to eat and local scenic views. This place is within walking distance to the Roosevelt Arch at the North Yellowstone entrance! We will definitely recommend staying here to friends and family coming to Yellowstone.

The owners refused to refund my stay knowing I had contact with a person who tested positive for COVI D 19 just prior to my arrival time. This attitude demonstrates greed over concern for contumely safety. Stay away if you value personal and/or family health.

Cute lodge that was well equipped and very comfortable.
Nice kitchen with pots, pans and utensils you would need to do basic cooking.
2 queen beds with comfortable mattress and linens
The gate to the Yellowstone-national-park is less than a mile.
Highly recommend
Will definitely go back

This hotel has an excellent Location to the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park. It is family owned, and it's like a log cabin on the inside. The rooms are really large, and the beds are comfortable. We loved the hospitality. We walked to all restaurants, and gift shops, and there were elk outside our door when we woke up. Fabulous place to stay in Gardiner.

We stayed at the river lodge for our family of four. The place is a condo type unit with a separate bedroom with two queen. There is AC in the family room, but not in the bedroom. They have two fans for you to use- but open the window with a screen to get fresh air! The sound of the rushing water of the river outside is amazing! Loved the patio overlooking the river to sit and have a drink. Owners went above and beyond in helping us with restaurant choices in the area. Book this place!

We stayed in cabin #3 and it was excellent. It was very clean, quiet, full kitchen, beautifully decorated, good AC, and had all the extra amenities included. The owners are very helpful and wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. The gas grill and porch was a nice surprise! The location in town was excellent and only a short 5 minute drive to the north entrance to Yellowstone!

Could not be more convenient to Yellowstone and restaurants in Gardiner. Large rooms, comfortable beds, quiet. Reasonable rates. Great alternative to $300+ per night in the park but only a five mile scenic drive to Mammoth. See as much wildlife in Gardiner as in the park! Elk at our front door!

Great place and location. Easy walk to places in town (gift shops, restaurants, coffee shop).  Grocery store is a few minute drive over the bridge.  Short walk to North Entrance of Yellowstone entrance (Roosevelt Arch). Owners were very friendly and helpful.  Both Gina and Hilary are super nice and accommodating. Check in / check out is super easy and smooth.  We stayed in cabin #2.  It was very clean and quiet. Full kitchen, living room area was really nice.  Great place to land after a long day in the park. Highly recommend.
