It appears to be an old hotel, but actually, it is a very nice new facility. Rooms are very nice staff at the office was excellent. We were directed places to eat and go by Sam, we appreciated that breakfast for donuts, cereal, and coffee. Which is fine with us I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there at all minutes from Yellowstone. There were elk walking around the parking lot. Lots of fun.

We stayed here for one night before exploring YellowStone National Park and wished we had booked this room for two more nights. We stayed in a newer building behind the main office where the breakfast area and the onsite laundry was located. The vehicle parking was great and convenient for loading and unloading luggage with our room being on the ground floor. The room was very clean and spacious with some modern touches such as USB connections and electrical outlets. It appears this section of the hotel had just been built so it had the latest electrical and electronic conveniences installed in the room. We did laundry in their onsite area and the machines were very clean and easy to operate. Their complementary breakfast area was well stocked with numerous items to choose from and great coffee.

The only problem we encountered was the television in our room which did not work.It came on but being a DISH NETWORK feed, apparently there was no signal. I called the front desk and they suggested that I unplug the TV to "reboot" it but that did not work. Since we were tired and went to sleep, the TV not working was not really an issue but I would expect that for the price of this room, they would have made sure that everything worked.

(NOTE: The town of Gardiner needs to have some nice sit down breakfast places that are open before 11:00 AM and stay open into the early afternoon. We went searching for food in this town and about the only place we could find was a stand in line place and a gas station. We did go to one place (Cowboy Lodge and Grill) that had seating but apparently was having electrical problems?. We were seated in this restaurant with nothing being said about problems and noticed that people were waiting for their food. We then overheard the restaurant person say that the grill was not working? We got up and left, I guess the electrical cords laid on the road coming from another building across the street into this restaurant should have been a clue.

I was prepared for rustic since it's a park town, but this is a meticulous and lovely hotel. The grounds and rooms were spotless. Owner Tom is very hands on and proactive about ensuring every possible health safety precaution during this unusual Covid time. The rooms are specially sanitized between guests and staff interface is minimized during stays. We enjoyed walking everywhere from the hotel - it's less than a mile to the end of town and north park entrance, so dining, the market, river access, post office are all within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Roosevelt Hotel and hope we get another chance to visit next year.

This was our first time staying in Gardiner, and the Roosevelt Hotel was the choice based on cost and availability. The hotel is conveniently located in town, close to restaurants, grocery, gas, etc. The ground are split into multiple units. We had a room over the office with the 2nd room in the next building back. I guess there are more rooms just around the corner and up the hill.

The staff was very helpful, from pre-trip calls to check on smoke levels, to suggestions for things to do around town as well as meeting the needs of the family. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. Both included a mini fridge and a microwave was available for use in the office. The room over the office offered a nice view of the mountains. The only issue was in the 1st floor room with a noisy family above. Had the kids not spent so much time jumping around the 2nd floor room and been a little better behaved, the noise probably wouldn't have been much of an issue. The facility is well built and in the 2nd floor room, I didn't notice any noise issues at all. If noise can be an issue, then a 2nd floor room is probably best. The staff was helpful before we arrived to make sure one room was first floor due to accessibility issues.

Overall, we were very happy with what the Roosevelt Hotel offered in quality of the rooms and service from the staff. A definite place to stay on our next trip to Gardiner.

This place is clean but way overpriced. Very small room. They didn’t even accommodate us as paying customers to have a grab bag breakfast or serve something instead of self serve. They said due to Covid regulations, breakfast was closed and you couldn’t even get a cup of coffee. If you want to spend $225 a night for that then this is the place for you. We felt the rate was very inflated and the Cabin picture on this site has nothing to do with this modular motel. It’s definitely not a hotel with any type of services.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We stick built this hotel 3 years ago and are very proud of our service and quality of our rooms, cabins and our house products. We offer different room types at our hotel. We have standard hotel rooms with single queens and double queens, an amazing house, and real log cabins to rent on a night basis. Please give us a call to book your reservation with us direct so you can direct you to the type of room or cabin that most fits your needs. Our local health department has required us to limit services and breakfast this summer for safety of our guest and staff. We have taken this world situation and virus very seriously. I'm sorry that you didn't find the brand new single service coffee makers in your room, it is located on the counter above the compact refrigerator. We are sorry we could not meet your needs due to the current world situation and the virus that has rock all of our worlds. We wish you a wonderful summer and safe travels. Tom

This place is close to the north entrance for Yellowstone.
They are over priced for what they give as amenities. They are using the virus as a excuse not to offer coffee- bag breakfast- bottled water- No vending machines no where on site.. Not happy with this stay. You can go elsewhere and at least get coffee and a bag breakfast to go for LESS MONEY,,,,And bottled water.
When we called to reserve they said they offer a light breakfast and coffee.

Thank you for your review and sharing your thoughts. We take the virus very seriously and adhere to the requires of our local health department. Our local health department informed us that we could not service any type of breakfast including "to go" boxes due to our current breakfast room lay out. They also requested us to remove an entire list of items from the rooms this year so we could open for business this summer. We also have exceeded the health department cleaning requirements. We fog every checked out room with a FDA Approved disinfectant to keep our staff and our guests safe from this serious virus. I'm sorry we were unable to meet your needs this summer. We value the health and safety of our staff and guests over a breakfast. We will continue to give our all..... very day.... to each and every guest. We wish you a safe trip. Tom

Highly recommend booking the cabins at the Roosevelt Hotel! We have a 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin with kitchen, dining, and living room areas in addition to the bedrooms. It was immaculate and had great beds/linens. This allowed our family to cook meals in after a long day in Yellowstone and river rafting. They have one a great job of making sure we were comfortable!

We stayed here 3 nights so we could do some hiking on the west side of the park and go to the Geyser basins, all of which were within easy driving distance. Room was large, clean, good showers and comfortable, and had a fridge so we could store and make our own breakfast and lunches, which we prefer. The hotel is off the main commercial strip at the end of the road, so quiet, but a bit of a stroll to the shops and other sites. Our room faced the mountains so we could sit on the deck and watch and scope (for birds and wildlife) the mountains opposite the hotel.

Elk all over the property (and the town) were very entertaining. The residents of all 4 cabins were treated to an early morning show of a couple bull elk locking horns. The view is decent, as are the log cabin floor plans. The beds were comfortable, but only 1 bathroom for 2 bedrooms, which is clunky with 2 couples. It is a bit high $$, but not a lot of options were available. There was very few amenities readily available. Gardiner is much preferred town to stay outside the park, over West Yellowstone or all the way down to Teton.

We booked two nights in The Roosevelt Hotel in Gardiner. It was a great place to stay. Check in was easy. Parking was convenient next to our room. Our room was very clean and crisp and was stocked with shampoo, lotion etc. The beds were very comfortable with nice mattresses and linens. The fridge was great for the food from our cooler. The laundry room was spotless and this was such a help during our trip! The breakfast room was well stocked with fruit, danish, muffins, water, and coffee. It was super close to the north entrance of Yellowstone. It was also close to restaurants and the grocery store. We took a walk in the morning and saw three Elk just past the parking lot! The staff was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel--it was clean, quiet and close to Yellowstone.
