Detailed Reviews

We spent eight wonderful nights in The River Suite (#13) as our home base visiting Yellowstone National Park. This trip had to be rescheduled a few times due to the pandemic and last year's flood, and it was so worth the wait and exceeded our expectations in every way.
The property is immaculate, both inside and out. Our suite was newly remodelled with well-maintained wood and tile furnishings, making the suite seem more like a small apartment than the usual generic hotel room. It included a kitchen with all the necessities to prepare meals, a large tiled shower, comfortable beds and a spacious balcony looking directly over the Yellowstone River. The views of the mountains and town were exceptional, and we were fortunate enough to see eagles, osprey, and elk mothers with their calves grazing along the properties across the river most mornings and evenings during our stay. You can even see the Roosevelt Arch in the distance!
Our stay at Yellowstone Riverside Cottages is among our favourite and most memorable vacations ever. The staff is kind and helpful, the accommodations are exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the location and proximity to Yellowstone National Park can't be beaten. Whether for a more extended stay or just one or two nights to recharge during your travels, you won't be disappointed with your decision to stay here. This beautiful and unique property has a mix of cottages, studio rooms and suites to meet both accommodation needs and budget. Even though not all rooms have balconies, there is a large deck and pergola with the same amazing views of the Yellowstone River and surrounding town along the back of the property. Be sure to check out the hotel's website, as the room descriptions and photos are very detailed and accurate... although it's even nicer once you see it in person! We would give it 10 stars if we could, and we hope to return in the future.

We stayed three nights in eagle cabin. It was modern, had many useful amenities and was very clean. The riverside location makes it a perfect spot to watch sunset and walk into town. East parking and enjoyed daily housekeeping. Only downside- room is not dark enough in morning if you want to sleep in- but who really sleeps at the best National Park? Head to Wonderland for an excellent meal and entertainment. Finally, staff were very accommodating! Highly recommend to stay in north entrance to Yellowstone and avoid west entrance which feels like the Vegas of Montana!

We stayed in the studio cottage (#1?) and it was very adequate for our two nights there. The room has been updated and was very clean. The bed was quite comfortable. It was so nice to have a Keurig coffee maker in the room along with a few plates, cups & utensils to use. The large shared patio/balcony was very nice to drink coffee and view the river down below. We even saw a couple of elk at the bottom of the river walking through. We would definitely stay here again!

For a winter visit, 11/27-11/30 Cottage 13 had everything we needed. There was a balcony and amazing views. The kitchen came well equipped and a Food Market was a walkable few houses away. The ensuite bathroom was very clean and wall tiles had Western outdoor colors.

This is an amazing place to stay after a long few days in the park. Strongly recommend a cottage with a river view. Our room had a small kitchen and the town market is just a short walk with everything needed to cook a great meal. We enjoyed ours on the deck overlooking the river. So peaceful and the staff were amazing. Allowed up to check in early. Thank you and will be back again.

We traveled with another couple and we each had separate accommodations. Our room had a deck outside with a view of the river. The room was spacious and had a small kitchen area with a refrigerator, hot plate, pots and pans, utensils and plates. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the shower large with plenty of hot water. We were within a short distance of the north entrance to Yellowstone Park. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay again when in Gardiner.

My family and my sister’s family stayed here for three nights in late June. While the outside is unremarkable, the inside is quite nice. Everything appeared to have been recently renovated. Rooms were exceptionally clean, which is so important these days. The beds were comfortable. The shower was oversized with great water pressure and ample hot water. The location right in town makes it walkable to several restaurants and the grocery store. We found the management to be pleasant and helpful. Our rooms had balconies overlooking the river, which was nice. With the window open, we could fall asleep or the sound of rushing water. I would stay there again.

We stayed at the Yellowstone Riverside Cottages for one night; the proximity to the north entrance of Yellowstone NP is fantastic. The location of the cottages in town is also great; we were able to walk to restaurants, stores, etc. The cottage (Bison Cottage) was very clean and comfortable for our family of four. James was very helpful with finding us gluten-free dining options. We enjoyed the gazebo that sits over the river in the evening. Our only regret is that we should have stayed two nights instead of one at this location.

This hotel has small rooms, but is immaculately clean and includes everything you need. The tvs have direct tv are smart tvs. The kitchenette is well stocked with anything you might need. Bed is comfy and bathroom is squeaky clean. There is even a table and chairs in the kitchen. A grocery store is 2 doors down. There is a great place to sit in back and enjoy river views and there is even a bbq pit for grilling. Great place..would recommend and would stay again. Gentleman at desk was super kind and helpful.

We stayed here two nights on a trip to Yellowstone. We booked #13, the River Suite. It was wonderful. We had a gorgeous view of the Yellowstone river and mountains in the park. We were close to the North entrance to the park. The suite was super clean had a kitchen, bathroom, bed, sofa and a loft area with another bed and TV. Our son called it his "Man Cave". Staff was friendly and we enjoyed sitting on our balcony and listening to the river. The cottages are located on a main street in town, so easy to walk to other attractions. If we were in the area, we'd stay again. We had a fun time!
