A great glamping experience for non campers. We booked 3 tipis for 1 night for our group of 11 as a starting point into exploring the north and west of Yellowstone. Fun for the kids and adults. In the evening there is a bonfire with s’mores and adult beverages. There is plenty of room for the kids to run around and play with others. The tipis are well appointed with luxury bedding (super comfortable.) The “bath house” is a row of connected, but self contained, rooms complete with individual showers and heated floors. In the evening and early morning mule deer are in the adjacent field. Another family left their tent flap open and a bunny hopped inside! Breakfast is provided- an assortment of cheese, fruits, yogurt, cereals, hard boiled eggs, breakfast bars, juice, milk, teas, and coffee. A bit pricey but you are paying for the experience, for our family it was worth the cost!

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. Dreamcatcher Tipis were the highlight of our 9 day road trip through Yellowstone and the surrounding areas. We stayed at a different resort/hotel each night, but this was the only one we did not want to ever leave. The staff was super nice, fun, and helpful. The grounds were kept up well and were so beautiful, with seating and hang-out areas directly outside your tipi, along with a common area with a fire for night time for when it got cold. Blankets were provided by the fire and they had everything for smores! There was also a refrigerator with complimentary alcohol/beer! The tipis are located not very far from the 'downtown' Gardiner area, where restaurants are only a short drive away, which was nice for dinner. We ordered a pizza, quickly picked it up, and brought it back to the tipis because we wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenery a bit more and not waste time sitting in a restaurant. The tipis are accurately depicted on the website and are furnished with a 'boho' style, which we loved. The beds are extremely comfortable. There are heaters in each tipi and the beds had plenty of blankets on them to keep warm during the night (it got down to about 30 degrees and we were fine). We were a little nervous about the shared bathrooms, but they were much better than we expected. There are 6 bathrooms in an actual building with a heater (as opposed to a tipi) and they are very spacious and clean. Also, be sure to look at the stars at night. I have never seen so many in my life. So pretty! Bugs were not a problem for us, not outside, nor in our tipi. We also felt very safe during the night. Breakfast was also very good. There were individually wrapped things, like cinnamon rolls, pancake wraps with eggs, etc., yogurt, and more. Not sure why anyone would stay anywhere else when in Gardiner. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

We stayed here 4 nights as a family of 4. We had two double beds in our tipi. We stayed here for our entire visit to Yellowstone NP. The location was near the main road, but not dangerous and the noise was negligible. The surrounding scenery was beautiful, and we could hear the Elk at night! We did have rain and wind, and staying in a tipi - we heard it all, but it was fine. This is a camp style hotel. The bathrooms were impeccable always. Fresh towels were provided daily in your tipi. Bathrooms are a walk from any tipi, but this is part of your 'glamping' experience. Our tipi did leak during the rain storm, but honestly, it didn't bother us. There was a tarp in place to protect us from most of the rainfall. We understood what we had booked and really made amazing memories there with our kids. The breakfasts were just right to start the day - hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, power bars, cheese, cereal, and even instant pho bowls. There was also coffee, tea, juice, water, hot chocolate and apple cider. Nights had happy hours with wine, beer and s'mores. We took advantage of the breakfasts, but not the nightly campfires (too tired), and both were included in the price. The fact that this site is close to the North entrance of the park was ideal. If you want a camping experience with incredibly friendly hosts, clean upscale accommodations and clean bathrooms with hot showers - this is the place to go. I think they did everything really well. If I could make a suggestion, it would be bigger space heaters for the cooler days/nights, and having them running before arrivals. Otherwise, we are really glad we had this experience with our kids and they will never forget it.

My family and I loved staying here so much that the other hotel on our (very fun) trip to Yellowstone suffered greatly by comparison. It was a unique adventure for our tween, while still being "glampy" enough for this picky mom and her not-a-traveler husband. Upon arrival, the grounds are unassuming, but once inside, it feels like an oasis with beautiful mountain views. The tipis are roomy and well-appointed with comfy beds, wifi and heaters. The bathhouse units were updated (with cute nature murals), clean and stocked with shampoo, body wash, hair dryer, etc. We visited Yellowstone Hot Springs (down the street), got a takeout dinner to eat at the picnic tables, then joined the community campfire, where we enjoyed complimentary s'mores, wine/beer, and a fun hang with the other visitors and really nice owner and staff (and their sweet puppy). The next morning, the breakfast tent was filled with goodies (boiled eggs, yogurts, juices, smoothies, power bars, fruit, etc.) Attention was paid to every detail, and we wish we had stayed here the whole time!

The tipi was fun experience for our family. We stayed with two kids aged 12 and 14 in one tipi. It had a king sized bed, a sofa bed and roll out bed. All were very comfortable with great mattresses. The tipi was very clean. Bathroom and showers are in a separate building. Nicely decorated and very clean. Enjoyed the complimentary smores and bonfire in the evening.
The hotel is located a little off the main road in the valley with great mountain views. Great for star gazing too.
Traveled in June 2020 and hotel took many steps to prevent spread of COVID such as masks, individually packed breakfast and constant cleaning.

My family and I spent one night at the Dreamcatcher Tipi Hotel and we were definitely not wowed. We were all looking forward to staying there and thought it would be a highlight to our trip but we were wrong. We all watched the perfectly edited video on their website and thought this would be a perfect time to experience “glamping” for the first time. This definitely was not what I considered glamping. The tipi was worn down and was not cleaned well. The chair inside tipi #5 was a 1970’s yellow side chair and it did not go along with the rustic theme. We also had an issue with bugs. My daughter was very disgusted with all of the bugs in her bed. We were all under the assumption that we would have an assigned bathroom at the bathhouse but that was not the case. You had to wait in line to use the restroom and the showers were not cleaned after each guest. This was disturbing especially during a pandemic. Also the floors were dirty so you definitely could not go barefoot. In the video they state that they use luxury bath products, this was not evident. Another disappointment was the breakfast. On the video they discussed pastries from the local bakery. This was not the case. They also did not restock items. Once they were gone, you were out of luck. There are not many activities there. They could consider adding some yard games, like corn hole or something like that to keep guests entertained.
Overall it was a neat experience and the employees were friendly but I would never stay there again and I would not recommend it to anyone. If you watch the video on their website and think that is the experience that you will get, you better think twice before booking a stay there.

This is such a unique and gorgeous hotel. We loved staying in the tipis. It was such a beautiful spot to watch the stars at night while enjoying the fire and eating smores. The furnishings of the tipis were beautiful and very comfortable. I also felt very safe staying in an open-air resort. We met the housekeeping manager who was very nice and extremely knowledgable on making sure all the guests were safe. The bathrooms were very clean (and quite nice too!). We loved the proximity to Yellowstone. The breakfast was a nice treat. Everything was individually packaged and felt very safe. There is a nice little shop on the property and a great area to eat breakfast. This hotel really encourages mingling with other guests, which we don't typically love, but it felt so organic here. We met really nice people from all over the country.
Lastly, I was very happy to hear from the owners that they give money to Indian charities. They also support tribes by selling their merchandise in the store. After speaking with the lovely couple who owns the property, I felt even better about my stay at this gorgeous place.

Exceptional experience at Dreamcatcher Tipi Hotel! The grounds offer grilling, yard games, a community campfire, outdoor seating near your tipi, a small gift shop, breakfast tent, and the cleanest and most lovely individual bath rooms with showers. After the campfire, we sat out for a bit to see the gorgeous night sky. The tipis themselves were fantastic! I’ll be following up to find out what mattresses and pillows they use - the most comfortable stay we’ve had! The decor was very comfortable. I cannot recommend this quaint spot enough!

My husband and I really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Dreamcatcher Tipi Hotel. It's an excellent location for Yellowstone National Park and we were so pleased we had booked to stay here. The tipi was really comfortable and cosy even in the cold weather and the bathroom block was warm and spotlessly clean. It was great to be able to use the grills for cooking outside and we really enjoyed meeting other guests around the campfire in the evenings. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back and stay here again!

Our family of 4 stayed at Dreamcatcher Tipis in mid-August and had a great time - our only regret was that we only booked 1 night! Tipis are larger than you'd expect, comfortable bed (and cots for kids), fans and heaters (we needed both with a high of 85' and a low of 45'). Bathroom and shower accommodations are exceptionally clean, with extra towels and toiletries. They have complimentary s'mores and beverages (juice, water, wine, beer) around a camp fire each night, as well as "back yard games" like corn hole and giant Jenga pieces spread out around the Tipi campus. Breakfast included assorted cereals, yogurt, coffee/tea/juice, granola bars. We were comfortable and well-fed. Location is easy from Gardiner. This was a great way to conclude our Yellowstone trip! Would definitely stay again!

I don’t think so. The teepees aren’t in a wooded area. They were deer in the field next to the teepees but they were outside a fence. Half of our group saw a bear (from a distance) near the Gardiner entrance to Yellowstone. The only other ones we saw- again from a distance were at Jackson Lake Lodge, and one near a wooded area off the road on the way from Jackson Hole toward Denver in an area clearly marked bears by the road!

I can't remember what the top looks like but for the price I am quite sure there would be no problems with rain at all whatsoever. It has a flap that you zip up when you go in and out. There are safes in each one.

We were there in mid September and it was beginning to get pretty chilly. If you call them directly they are very helpful. But we loved it
