Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

cheapest place to stay near big sky. you have to save some money somewhere to pay those outragious ticket prices. nothing fancy, but clean and more then fine.the only complaint is being near the mtn, why do they not open for breakfest till 8am. i want to be on my way up to mtn. by then, not sitting down for breakfest. and the problem is there are not many other choices. would stay again.

This place is "Deja Vu" on steroids. Mid-century is fine, but worn, torn, stained, etc...is not cool. The furniture, carpet, sheets, and fake wood paneling all contributed to a tired look. The bed was comfortable enough, and unlike a previous reviewer, I think it was better than sleeping in my car. The sheets were so thin you could probably see through them. Fortunately, I found an extra sheet in the dresser drawer, and added a second layer between me and the mattress.

I'm happy to report that the room did not have bed bugs, and the bathroom seemed clean. It appeared the bath had been partially remodeled, but they should fire their decorator. The room is as described above, and the bath walls are something that resembles Venetian plaster-A total disconnect if you ask me.

The bartender registered me, and she was doing an amazing job juggling beers, shooters, drunks, and room keys. Pretty impressive actually. If you stay here, be sure to leave her a big tip!

Seriously, if you can't get a room elsewhere that you can afford, you will survive a stay at the Corral. Despite it being on the main road to Yellowstone, the room was surprisingly quiet, and if you need something to buffer road noise, the room had one of those wall mounted heaters that would probably do the trick. I was told the motel had AC, but didn't check it out since it was winter.

For the price, this was just what we needed. Room was clean. Food downstairs was good. Hey, this place is not a resort , but comfortable and reasonably priced . Staff was nice. Yet, not overly friendly . It's in Montana so the view is always spectacular. I would definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed an extended stay at The Corral. It is a fine establishment. Dave, the owner is responsive to any needs and provided as comfortable room. The room was warm and draft free. It was just the right recipe for what I needed. It came with microwave, cable TV, hot shower, and was very spacious. The restaurant which is also part of the Corral is affordable and very convenient. They served breakfast on the weekends. They serve the biggest pancakes I've ever seen. It is also a sports bar with big screen TV's. I had a wonderful time and I hope to return.

Other things to note is that there is a hot tub at the motel complex. Also, there is a shuttle that runs up the mountain that leaves at 10 minutes past the hour.

With an attitude like that, how could you expect anything resembling service? We checked in and out with a waitress at the restaurant- there is no office. We found similar situations to a former reviewer, as one extension cord with 2 adapters powered most of the electronics in the room, and seemed pretty unsafe. We spent very little time at the Motel, as we were there to enjoy the area, and a bed and necessities were all we required. Unfortunately, we had to chase down someone to ask for things to be replaced after we ran out, such as coffee, cups, toilet paper, and kleenex, (we never got that), rather than the person coming in and taking note of what you were out of. We also had food removed from the little refrigerator one day while we were out that we had purchased for breakfast. (The attached Restaurant doesn't open until 8, and we are early risers). The toilet paper which was almost empty wasn't replaced, the trash wasn't emptied, but our breakfast was taken! After our arrival, we weren't comfortable leaving any valuables there, and had taken everything with us but the food. This motel was a last resort for our stay, as we couldn't get the entire vacation booked in one spot. I will make sure to book several months ahead for our next visit to the area to avoid this place! I would suggest anyone considering a stay here, to keep looking! There are LOTS of other much nicer options, with more service oriented staff that actually really have river access. The only reason I rated poor rather than terrible is the view which is beautiful.

Old dirty feeling room. Tried to plug in my phone charger and was damn near electrocuted!!! It even caused the entire room to be without power. We're talking black soot, sparks and the whole works!! I wish I had slept in my car instead.

Steer clear of this place!

While the restaurant was great, the motel room was less than fantastic. Since our last visit many years ago, nothing much had changed. The carpet wa probably the original and not too clean, the shower mediocre at best, (though updated from the tin one years ago). We stayed here for some nostalgia. We got that, but not in such a good way. On the bright side, the room as as clean as you could get it without a major over hall. Good for a quick stay. Price was $100 plus tax. Location, location, location.

Regarding the motel: Did not respond to booking generated by their listing on Air B&B. Also, listed themselves as “pet friendly” on Air B&B when they do not allow pets. When this was politely brought to their attention, they chose to play the policy game and charge for a cancelled room anyway, and not own up to the misrepresentation that resulted in the late cancelation. 80 + bucks was obviously more important to them than doing the right thing.

My son and I stayed at the Coral Motel for 3 nights in February 2018; we needed an inexpensive place to stay that was convenient to Big Sky Mountain Resort, just about 25 minutes away. The people are super-friendly and very accommodating, and we really enjoyed their hospitality (the bar and restaurant are literally right next door, and the food is excellent and plentiful). The room was large, with 2 full-size beds in addition to a couch, coffee-table, mini-fridge, microwave, and full-size dresser. CableTV allowed us to watch the Olympics while we were there. As other reviewers have noted, the furnishings are dated (think 70s), but everything is clean and well-maintained so unless you're a style maven or seeking ultra-luxurious accommodations, you should find the room comfortable. The one drawback is the bathroom: ours was recently renovated in "prison chic," with a concrete floor, concrete wall tiles, and a concrete shower surround. The floor got INCREDIBLY COLD during the night, so we had to leave the bathroom door open and the heat in the main room turned up so we could walk into the bathroom without being jolted awake by cold feet! This would be a terrific place to visit in the spring or summer when it's warmer, but in the winter just be forewarned you'll need to wear socks into the bathroom!

Good food, good service, what more can you ask for? Local hangout so can also get good information on local activities like trail conditions, snow conditions, fishing, etc. Great selection of food choices to choose from to make everyone happy.
