Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

High-touch very nice welcome when we got there at 8PM. The person gave us a guided tour to our RV spot with a flashlight for backing in. Super sweet. The train goes by all the time but doesn't honk or toot. The place is clean and well spaced out. The location is very close to MAP brewery (yay). The bathrooms need to be spruced up!

I will start by saying the staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly, which is what makes me giving this an average rating hard. This is right off the interstate, so that made it extremely convenient for us on our stop over, but that being said, it's right by the highway and near some train tracks. I know the walls in our travel trailer aren't as thick as building walls, but we did hear the road and the train blowing it's horn off and on all night. But overall we did have a nice site and it's dog friendly which is a plus for us.

Run by Marty and Maryjo Stanek, this campground offers spacious back-in and pull-through, level full-hookup sites and decent Wi-Fi. Both shaded and satellite-friendly open sites are available as is a spacious unfenced dog-walking area. Arriving campers are escorted to their sites which is especially helpful for first-timers. There is no cable TV, but several HD TV channels are available via a rooftop antenna. Propane is for sale here by the gallon.

When I called several days in advance to book a site it was about 8:00 pm and I was both surprised and delighted to have someone answer the phone. Later when I needed change my reservation to arrive a day earlier my request could not have been handled more courteously.

This campground is convenient to I-90, Wal-Mart, restaurants and downtown but its close proximity to the Interstate highway and train tracks means that both combine to make this a noisy location. We slept well and enjoyed our stay, but if traffic and train whistles keep you awake, you might want to give that some consideration.

Another local campground wanted to charge me extra for my wife, my dog and my car in tow, which I found a total turn-off. The rates here were reasonable, owners were friendly and accommodating, all hookups worked flawlessly, so we will stay here again if we return to Bozeman.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

We reserved three campsites in May of this year, staying in August. We were excited to meet some friends for camping. We had talked about how much fun we would have , and we could hardly wait for all of us to get to Bozeman. One family is from Arizona and two from different cities in Texas. We were high school friends. The one who arrived first at the campground found that someone was already in his site. They moved him to a separate site, and we asked if we could set up beside him. They would not allow that even though there was plenty of room. We asked if we could move one site down, so the other friend would be close. The manager said, "No, that would be too much work for me!". This was not a good start to our visit to Montana.

This is a clean, well-run campground conveniently located, off I90, near downtown Bozeman. The bathrooms and laundry room are well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. Many of their guests are taking pets to a nearby specialty vet, and the staff will work with you on late check outs. There is quite a bit of train and highway noise, but that is to be expected from a park located on the frontage road of a major highway in the west. Our phone's sound app covered it up nicely.

Grounds are well maintained with shade and close proximity to shopping & Yellowstone. Spaces are tight. Noise from Freeway and train whistle are ridiculous. So unless you enjoy camping on the Daytona 500 stay away. Also, they require full payment up front and NO refunds

I asked in advance if their tent sites had power. They said yes. They lied. No apology, no effort to make amends and it cost $32. When I asked if I could use one of the unused RV slots instead (which had power) they said sure…for $60. The tent sites are at the low end of the park where all the water drains to. My assigned slot had a large mud puddle right in front of it. And the bathrooms were pretty crappy.

Thank you for your review, while we can not control mother nature we do apologize for your bad experience. Our tent sites have never had power so I am sorry you were misinformed. Our restrooms are older, but we take pride in the cleanliness. We hope you give us the opportunity to serve you again

This place is VERY expensive. When we’ve paid these rates, we’ve had a patio, fire pit, and grill. We had a picnic table we had to share with neighbor. Neighbors on both sides were right on top of us. I reached out the window of our slide and was able to touch the slide of our neighbor. The freeway is a stone’s throw from the sites so sitting outside in the evening was impossible. No playground despite being advertised; no pool; wifi was less than awful. This place may’ve been worth $30/night and that’s being generous. We’ll never stay here again nor will we recommend it to anyone. They are not truthful. They told us, when making reservations, that there was only 1 site left (pressure!). Unless they had a lot of cancellations, they lied to us to get us to “hurry up” and reserve.

We live on the road with the circus and often need a place to stay for a few days between shows. We chose Bozeman trail for the great rates, laundry rooms, and showers. It did not disappoint, everything was clean and in great working condition. Showers were hot and bathrooms were clean! The staff was incredibly helpful and made sure we had a site that fit our needs. They went above and beyond to be sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this campground and will likely return in the future!

I'm perplexed by the number of positive reviews for this campground. I booked a tent site online and arrived to find that the area where the tents go was not only right next to I-90 but also in a mud pit. The sites were so small that tents from neighboring sites were less than two feet away from my tent. The bathrooms were dated and dirty. In addition to highway noise, there were train whistles, barking dogs, and screaming kids. It was a truly miserable experience and certainly not worth the more than $30 I paid. Next time, I'll sleep in the Walmart parking lot for free.
