Detailed Reviews
Our family has been traveling to Bozeman for close to a decade. For the past several years, we have been making a point to stay at The Element in downtown Bozeman. The location is central to all dining and shopping venues. The rooms are spacious and offer mountain views. The cost is affordable and competitive with other hotels in similar proximity. The best part of a stay at The Element is the staff and their attention to detail. The team at this hotel are friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in your personal story and that you enjoy your stay with them. We have even spent holidays and the staff have accommodated our family with holiday decorations and a separate room in which to enjoy our celebration dinner. Our dog has always been welcome and we know he enjoys the many treats and attention showered on him by the team at The Element. We have stayed at this hotel more than a dozen times. Some visits as long as 9 days, others as short as one overnight. Regardless, the visit is always filled with warm memories of interactions with the staff and town at this location. You can't go wrong with a stay at The Element.

We started our vacation in southwest Montana at the Element in Bozeman. I doubt we could have found a better place to stay in town. The location is right in the heart of the beautiful old downtown area with no end of great dining, bars, and shops to explore and enjoy. Everything was within easy walking distance. It reminded us of a smaller version of Ft. Collins. Our upgraded room was spacious, quiet, and modern with plenty of plugs to recharge all of the devices a modern traveler has in tow. Even during the pandemic, the staff was warm, helpful, welcoming, and friendly. I have spent years as a heavy business traveler and, as a rule, I have learned to avoid hotel lobby restaurants. Their Squire House is the rare and exceptional experience. This is only the second Element hotel (Burnaby, BC being the first on business) I've stayed at but this brand of the Marriott family is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

One of the nicer Marriott hotels! Stylish, super clean, great organic bath products, super comfy beds, and suites come with kitchenette and full size fridge. The bathroom comes with a rain shower head and it’s heavenly (especially since we had just come from camping in the wilderness). Robert at the front desk was charming, funny and so helpful! He recommended some great spots to eat at which are all within a short walking distance (Jam for breakfast is a must). Excellent location literally in downtown Bozeman, near a ton of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Hotel has a parking lot and once you park your car you really don’t need it until you leave for the airport which is only about 20 mins away. They have outdoor seating with fire pits at night, indoor pool and a laundry room which came in handy. Highly recommend staying here when in Bozeman!

I had a wonderful three night stay at the element hotel in downtown Bozeman. The hotel is very quiet the rooms were clean and they included a kitchen with the refrigerator freezer dishwasher stove and microwave. The front desk clerks Sara and Casey went out of their way to be extremely kind and generous. I had spoken to Sara a few nights before asking her some questions about my arrival in the amenities and she was gracious on the phone and very helpful.
When I checked in she was excited to see me gave me a great room and was knowledgeable during my stay. Casey was also a pleasure to work with the front desk and was extremely kind and helpful
Pool pool here is beautiful there are outside fire pits and a business computer free of charge.
I definitely recommend this hotel for trip to Bozeman Montana!

This past weekend, our family had a quick getaway to the booming city of Bozeman. We stayed at our favorite place The Element Bozeman and left feeling renewed and refreshed than when we first arrived.
The welcome experience (instead of check-in which is what you do at the airport, a less hospitable place) was sublime. The staff engaged us in a warm, cordial and professional manner, we immediately felt like we belonged.
The lobby, well festooned with just the right “sensory elements” botanicals, colors, décor, sound and seating areas to unwind, converse or transition from any activity along your journey was hardly inconspicuous.
Our room was beautiful, pristine, well stocked and spacious with a lovely view of The Bridgers, we felt comfortable even travelling with 3 young children. When we reached out with a request for an additional amenity, we were pleasantly surprised at the prompt response.
We decided to skip The Squire House this visit (onsite eatery equally delicious) and hit up Pizza Campania in The Cannery District for a late afternoon early evening bite with our friends, less than 3mins away.
We loved the Rise super food inspired breakfast options which we enjoyed prior to our farewell and delightful goodbye from Thomas the Guest Services Manager.
We could go on and on picking out all the amazing aspects of The Element all to say this: in the hotel space, this place is iconic and a true gem. It encapsulates the essence and culture of Bozeman with a team that is well dialed in and engaged to meet and exceed your expectations. So much going on in Bozeman, so many new pop-up properties, so much construction but The Element stands out.
Thank you Element Bozeman and your wonderful GM and staff for making our stay memorable. We can’t wait to come back and visit. Our stay was beyond the conventional rating scale but we hope you will forgive us for putting you on the highest rating this platform provides.
till next time...be well and happy travels.

We spent 3 nights in Bozeman and I was looking for a hotel in the heart of downtown so we could walk to everything. The Element met all our criteria and more. It's one block north of Main St (which made it a little quieter), walkable to all downtown sights, shops and restaurants. It has free outdoor parking behind the hotel. But most of all, it's modern, spacious, has a lobby and outdoor courtyard (for work, relaxing), very friendly staff, and even during COVID, it's providing a very nice morning buffet with packaged items.
Our room was a king studio that was spacious, had a huge window with view of the mountains, well furnished, and in perfect condition. Big bathroom with the largest glass walk-in shower of almost any hotel we've stayed in. When we needed more towels and toiletries (limited daily servicing due to COVID), a very friendly person delivered them promptly. We'd never stayed in an Element property before and now I know to look for them everywere!

I love it, and I can't wait to stay at more Element hotels. They're just firing on all cylinders: the room is fabulous, the hotel was totally charming, and bed was comfy! But that just the low-hanging fruit. They have bikes we can check out, and the shower was so strong; and speaking of water, it's filtered coming into the room! I have one but, but it won't keep me from giving the hotel 5 stars: there were 3 hot breakfast choices and they all had meat in them. Come on, give me vegetarian hash browns!!

This hotel is nicely located one block away from the busy Main Street, which we liked. Everyone who works here is extremely nice and accommodating, especially Thomas. There is no housekeeping because of Covid. The free breakfast is just ok. It’s yogurt, cereal and pre-packaged food. I’ve stayed in other Element hotels where they actually have a menu and cook on site(Atlanta!). Rooms are clean and have the usual amenities. My biggest complaint is the noise. We were on the 4th floor and we could hear every footstep and suitcase rolling at all hours of the night. Even with a sounds machine- it’s still loud. Zero sound absorption with those laminate floors. I’ve read this same complaint from other travelers. Bring earplugs.

Stayed here for 2 nights before and 1 night after a trip to the surrounding areas. The hotel is located steps away from Main Street with lots of shopping and restaurants, but is still very clean and quiet. Arrived early for both stays and the front desk was very accommodating and called as soon as there was a room available (though, with Main Street nearby, it was very easy to while away the time). There is also a free airport shuttle which was incredibly convenient. There was a mix up with scheduling one of my airport shuttle reservations, and Thomas and Kristy at the front desk went above and beyond and pulled up a spare shuttle to personally drive me to the airport. Will certainly stay here the next time I am back in Bozeman!

After looking at several different hotels, the Element seemed like the best bet as it is very close to Main St. We were able to get 2 rooms side by side. Staff was friendly, parking found in the rear of the hotel was easy (nominal fee), and hotel was very clean. The restaurant adjoining the hotel was quite good and I would highly recommend giving it a try. We all had burgers and they were great. Our rooms did not face the mountains, but it looked as though even numbered rooms did have nice mountain views. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked like they had a variety of offerings. The only issue we had with hotel was how warm and stuffy it was in our 5th rooms in the late afternoon. We turned on the A/C and it made little difference, so I wondered if the A/C is turned off in October. I called the desk and received a fan which helped a bit, but in a new hotel, it seemed strange that it was so difficult to regulate the temperature.
