Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Upon arrival and greeting, I received the most Professional & Hospitable review of my reservation requests, i.e., room location, etc. The desk attendant read my requests out loud. Then she said, I have one room that meets your requests on the third floor or you can wait for a fourth floor room. She said the #317 has a good view of the mountain; which it did.
As a traveler, this was a very pleasant experience. The room was nice. In Bozeman the train(s) are audible everywhere. I do not believe it can avoided easily.
If every hotel greeted clients like this they would have endless repeat business. It was very reassuring that my requests had been noted & acted upon.

Stayed here for one night the night before leaving Montana. We did not have a good start here when we were given the key to a room that was not clean and door was wide open. We later found out that there was repair work being done in that room. Not a big deal except when your tired, get all the way to your room and have to head back to lobby. The second room we were given did not have the trash emptied and the previous guest had microwaved food and it smelled awful. We put the trash out in the hallway and let the person working the desk know on our way out. She was mortified that we had a problem in both rooms. She was so gracious and professional that we were less annoyed (also helped that she gave us a pint of Ben and Jerry for the trouble!). This young woman was working her tail off at the desk-there was a lot going on. The breakfast in the morning was hot. It was served to you due to Covid and not self serve like usual. Hotel is close to Main Street where there are places to eat and shop.

The hotel looks brand new and is very nice. The pool area is nice and includes a jacuzzi. That is something I definitely want. The breakfast was very plentiful and is a standard at the Residence Inn hotels. For a lot cheaper you can stay out of the downtown area and have convenience to everything in Bozeman. If you want to go downtown, there is free parking to do so and save a few hundred dollars a night by staying here.

I recently stayed at this hotel and would not recommend it. The fire alarm went off at 2 am, which can be understandable, but then it went off again. I called the front desk and the employee was in a shear panic and told me she accidently set it off while trying to reset it. I was traveling with two young children and they were absolutely terrified and crying. The hotel did nothing to apologize to the guest afterward. I email the corporate customer service and had to send a total of 3 emails to even get a response (terrible customer service) I then finally got someone name Ramona GP
Guest Experience Assistance Team, who gave me 5000 points. A hotel night at this specific location is 35,000. So doing the math they offered me 15% off my nights stay (~$27.00) I replied and told her that I would prefer a full refund and I was told they will NOT do it and she was removing the 5,000 points. I will absolutely make it a point to not stay at this hotel or any other marriot hotel.

We booked this room several months ago for a one night stay on the way to Big Sky. The facility was totally booked upon arrival but we were told our room was ready. At first glance, everything looked OK, yet upon closer inspection, we found food particles on the kitchen floor, hair and dirt on the bathroom and vanity floors, dirty dishes in the dishwasher snd a trash can half full of trash. The young desk clerk was kind enough to come in and vacuum and mop the tile floors, but the room was in dire need of a deep clean. Very disappointing and a bummer of a stay. Marriott must get better than this.

The personnel are extremely friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel was full, the hallways were quiet. The scenic view from our room of the mountains was amazing; same for the views from the lounge. And that lounge - like a giant living room, with a cozy fireplace, and plenty of tables. Large enough that we felt we weren't bothering anyone else when we sat and played games with family visiting from afar, for hours on a Sunday afternoon. Breakfast is hot entrees, fresh fruit, waffles, juice, milk, oatmeal, continental choices, grab-n-go if you like.....list goes on.

The Good:
First, the hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. Lobby area is nice and they put out a good breakfast with some variety if you stay for several days.
Nice gym and pool area and lots of restaurants close by.
Downtown is about 2 miles and it’s a good launching point for the national parks.

The Bad:
The bad has to do with the hotel construction. We stayed 4 nights on the 3rd floor.
The floors are so weak that we could hear the guest above us walking around all of time. It seemed like regular walking as opposed to heavy steps. We did not get a good nights sleep one single night because of that noise alone, Add in an air conditioner that sounded like a 18 wheeler idling when it came on. It rumbled very loudly.
Only two washing machines in a larger hotel with lots of folks who probably want to use them after hiking. I had to make 4 trips before I was able to use one.
Finally, the couch in the room was really dirty. We put a sheet over it so we could sit on it.

Conclusion:
I would stay here again, but openly if I was sure I could get a top floor room and test the HVAC to know if I could sleep. That said, not being able to check that out beforehand would be a show stopper for me.

We stayed at the Bozeman Inn for the weekend a couple of weeks ago, the staff was really helpful, always smiling and ready to help. Check-In and Check-Out were a breeze and the room was really nice, with a Queen bed a nice kitchen and all the other amenities necessary. But out of all these things, breakfast was my favorite part with a pretty big spread of items you won't walk away from it feeling hungry! They even had some vegetarian options. To sum it up I highly recommend, you'll have a great stay.

I was traveling to Bozeman/Yellowstone for the weekend and had a last minute Zoom meeting scheduled a few days before I was set to leave. I hadn't booked my stay at the Residence Inn this trip because I wanted to stay overnight in Yellowstone. Obviously, the drive down to Yellowstone is not prime environment for Zoom video streaming. I called the Residence Inn a few days before just to plead with them to allow me to borrow their conference room space and reliable WiFi. MAN DID THEY DELIVER. They were more than happy to let me use the space and were friendly and kind when I arrived/left. They even offered to have the projection screen let down for me!! Beyond that, the property was so clean and employees were following social distancing and sanitizing protocols. Next time I head out to Bozeman, I will stay at this Residence Inn. No brainer.

Hi 109kevinz, Thank you for contacting us with your early arrival question! We recommend calling the morning of your arrival to check on the status of your room. Typically, even after a sold out night the day prior, we are able to have a few rooms ready to go by 12 or so for early arrivals. Our property does not yet have the RFID Locks, enabling a mobile key that can be sent to your phone, but we do offer Mobile Check-in where we pre-make your keys and have them ready for you at the front desk. We hope you had a great stay with us if you were already here, and if not we look forward to having you! Erica Olenick General Manager
