Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at Bear Canyon because it was the only campground that still had sites available. I was charged 70 plus tax for a site listed on their web site at 60 they offer no military or GoodSam discounts. The young lady at the front desk was curt with a take it or leave it attitude. After driving six hundred miles and nothing available I had no real choice in hind site I should have just gone to a walmart. The site was gravel and somewhat level with good water pressure however the 30 amp recp was worn so I had to use an adapter and the 50 amp circuit. I will not stay here again.

They have a nice wide dog park and some beautiful views. This campground is off the freeway up on the hill and sometimes you could hear the traffic but not bad. What kept me up was the multiple trains that went by and blew their horns. I swear I counted at least 6 trains throughout the night. The picnic tables are very worn and felt very close to the neighbors during this COVID time. There is a dump site up front by the office for those that didn’t get that option at their site. We couldn’t open our awning because of the trees but we were only there for one night. It seemed a little crowded to me the night we stayed but everyone was friendly.

The park sits on top of a hill so you can over look the different valleys. The view is outstanding. Full service sites and easy to find satellite connection will help you enjoy your stay. The management and web site are great.

The Bear Canyon Campground was a great find for us since we often have to overnight in our camper on the way to Denver from Spokane. Located right off I-90 and up a little hill so you don't have the highway noise. The views from the sites along the southern border of the RV park are spectacular. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Bathroom and shower was clean. Park-like atmosphere with campfire grates.

Short drive to downtown Bozeman if you want to do a little shopping or dinner out.

We liked the campground itself and the staff were helpful and friendly. There is a lot of interstate and train noise though. There were a lot of people staying there- so I have to believe that the noise doesn't bother everyone. Very clean with lots of gravel and grass. Our son enjoyed the pool. They have tent spots and RV spots.

To start off, our tent spot number was not made aware to us until we arrived at the campground. Following that we were required to move our tent from spot 1 to spot 7 after being there for three nights. Following that, the camper that was previously in spot 7 never moved. They then asked US if we knew of any empty spots. Obviously, we did not because we don’t work there. Then they get us spot 10 which we move our tent to. Now we think our problems are over, but then someone shows up and puts a ten within 8 feet of our tent. And then I get a voicemail on my phone saying that we put our tent in the wrong spot. And then in the voicemail they ask us to move our tent again into spot 11 now. I received this voicemail on our last day at the campground. Also to address the cleanliness, overall it was fine. However, there are two stalls in the guys restroom and one of these stalls had a toilet that remained clogged for 3 days straight with a plunger sitting next to it and at one point sitting in the toilet. It created quite an unpleasant odor and made me question their workers integrity as they have a set time where the bathrooms are closed for cleaning.

We booked 3 nights for a tent site. The park is beautiful. Everyone was very quiet at night which was great! The bathrooms are nice, could be a little bit cleaner but were decent. We enjoyed the pool and playground for our kids. We will definitely stay here again when visiting.

We spent three nights here, mostly because they have a pool :) It's right off the interstate, so the location is convenient and easy to access. The sites were a little close together for my liking, and I'd have given 5 stars if they would have been more spacious. The laundry and showers were clean and well kept, as were the grounds. The kids also liked the playground. It's obvious the owners care about their property. I'd stay again.

Very nice RV Park. There are great views over the valley from the back in sites along the ridge. The facilities are good and clean. The pool was still open and was a great couple of hours. There is a train nearby but not a problem.

I stumbled on to this little private campground and decided to extend my stay from just an overnight because of its beautiful location and the low key atmosphere. Nice pool and small store. Each campsite has trees and a table.
