Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Betty and Nick McCoy have created a very comfortable B&B with warm hospitality to match. The downstairs apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms that are full of books, comforters, and Montana memorabilia. One of the best parts of the stay is the breakfasts, hearty, and delicious. The conversations were stimulating and interesting. We felt at home away from home.

Gooch Hill B&B is an extra special place. It’s country setting is relaxing and comfortable yet it is still just a short ride to downtown Bozeman for shopping, dining, brewery hopping, etc. Hosts Betty and Nick made us feel right at home and we loved getting to know them and all of their outdoor pets. We enjoyed learning about the local sights and the history of Montana over Betty’s leisurely and delicious breakfasts. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. Guests have maximum privacy given the layout of their unique and lovely home. There is no doubt. When we return to Bozeman, we’ll be staying again at Gooch Hill B&B.

This place provides a peaceful and comfortable respite in the beautiful countryside outside Bozeman. The accommodations are private and even include a sauna which would be perfect in winter months. The hosts Nick and Betty McCoy are warm and welcoming. The breakfasts are amazing. Highly recommended.

Gooch hill house is a wonderful farmhouse b&b with the most gracious hosts. Betty and Nick are sweet, attentive, and accommodating. They made our summer vacation special with their deep knowledge of Bozeman and activities to do in the area. They are wonderful down to earth people with a cozy farmhouse that has adorable animals and an amazing breakfast. The accommodations were homey and comfortable. After staying here I cant wait to one day return to Bozeman and Gooch hill house.

I am so glad I found the Gooch Hill House B and B for my recent stay in Bozeman. My daughter lives in Bozeman and I have stayed in many places over the last several years visiting her from Georgia. We enjoyed our stay, especially the delicious morning meals and conversation. Our downstairs rooms were clean, well equipped with blankets, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and a lovely sauna! The home is located close to MSU campus and downtown on a lovely, picturesque farm road. Thank you Betty and Nick for sharing your home with us. I will be blessed to stay with you again. Our hosts Betty and Nick are very service oriented and maintain a clean, safe and quiet B&B away from the lights and traffic of the city yet convenient to Bozeman and the University. So often when we travel do we find accomodations not suiting our primary requirement.....rest. At Gooch Hill rest assured.

Betty and Nick provide a clean, warm and safe "home away from home."
As soon as you arrive you are greeted by Ace and Betty.
Betty is full of local information and will point you in the right direction.
We had the BEST hamburgers and steaks at a local spot called, Staceys.
Don't miss out on Betty's feast of a breakfast and ask her to make you her Baked French Toast- it's too die for!
Thank you Betty and Nick for your Montana hospitality and making us feel right at home!

I had the pleasure of staying with Nick and Betty when on a recent trip to Bozeman/Gallatine Gateway. Their B & B is a wonderful home away from home with all the comforts one could want. A sumptious breakfast served ina relaxing atmosphere. A best kept secret of the area!

I first booked the room for just two nights. A couple of days later, I called back to see if I could add a day to the front end of the stay. No problem!

When we got there, we had to look around back because they were tending to a pair of new kittens in the out-building. Looking around and taking care of newborns - not unusual in a Montana country setting so all was good.

The room was great, bed was a very comfortable queen. Bathroom was well appointed. There was a sauna; great place to unwind after an eventful day.

The next to best thing about the place was/is the breakfasts. Betty sets a really nice table and the food is simply great and there's plenty of it.

The very best feature of the B&B is Betty and Nick. They are great people. Because WE WANTED TO, we sat round the breakfast table after the meal and just talked. It was great. Betty and Nick have had a wonderful life that they love to share. But, they are also genuinely very interested in whatever their guests are willing to share of theirs. Makes for a wonderful conversation. As an added bonus, they are natives of the area and know all the good places to go for food, entertainment, etc.

So, if you like good food, good rest, and good conversation with well educated, down to earth, and genuinely good people - this is the place to stay!

Nick & Betty provided great hospitality, breakfasts, and restaurant suggestions during our stay to evaluate Montana State University with our daughter. The drive to the campus was short and scenic. The rooms are clean, warm, and cozy. We also were provided with great suggestions of other things to see like the Museum of the Rockies.
