This hotel has a good location where you could walk if you want to the main street though it is a little bit off the main drag so most people would likely drive. The lobby decor and room decor is super unique and clean and the staff are super helpful. But the Valkyrie best part of this hotel is the pool and spa. The pool is heated and huge for laps and has jets on the benches for relaxing. There is also a separate large hot tub which is super comfy and a eucalyptus steam room which is perfect. Highly recommend this unique and affordable hotel. Oh yeah and free breakfast

This Motel is a great find in Bozeman. We were driving through from CA to MN and were hesitant to stay at many hotels we saw along the way during the pandemic, but found this one and felt safe. They were very cautious with wearing masks, sanitizing all and the rooms were so clean, not to mention super comfy beds. We had room 201, which was updated and nice. The lobby is adorable and were greeted by exceptional service from Bryan upon our late arrival and in the morning as we left. Sarah was also lovely. Would absolutely stay here again! Thx for such a pleasant experience!

We stayed here for 4 nights on our trip to ski Bridger Bowl and Big Sky and it was excellent. This motel is located about 15 minutes away from the airport, 20 min away from Bridger Bowl and about 1.2 hrs from Big Sky. The prices are very reasonable by the Bozeman standard and WAY cheaper than staying anywhere near the Big Sky. The place was very clean and cozy. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but you are staying in a 1970s motel with a giant retro neon sign at the entrance - of course you should expect some retro charm to it!

One of the key attractions here is the spa area with the big 60 ft long swimming pool, a hot tub and a steam room. We spent every evening after long days on the slopes here. It was so good!

Finally, the best part about this place is its management. It is still owned and operated by the founding family. Lisa, who is the daughter of the original founder, was extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. She gave us a late checkout without any hesitation when we asked for it. We highly recommend this place!

What a gem of a place! The most friendly, courteous people run this place. Rooms are very clean and the beds are one of the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. This place was founded in 1976 they have kept it up so well that your stay will be relaxing and comfortable. Don’t miss the Pool/spa area. It is gorgeous. Attention to detail is amazing and you will feel like you’re in a expensive European spa. Huge pool with relaxation jets and shelf to sit on. Beautiful hot tub and eucalyptus steam room. The decor is some thing out of an expensive spa. Marble, niches, Beautiful tile work and relaxing touches everywhere. The pool was sparkling clean, as were all parts of this spa area. The lobby is full of so many interesting things. You can buy wine, snacks, read books on the area. It is a beautiful little boutique hotel.. Nicest people run it and want to make your stay perfect.

In route to Big Sky Montana my friends and I needed a one night stay in Bozeman. We wanted to be on Main St so we could walk to shops and restaurants. The motel price for the area was very reasonable and the reviews about the pool, hot tub, and sauna convinced us to book at Lewis and Clark Motel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The AC, mini frig, microwave, and kurig in the room were a definite plus. A co-op market is located next door so our wine and cheese party at a little table outside of our room that evening was perfect! The pool area was fabulous. There were plenty of towels and it was a highlight of our stay. This is not a Hilton, but a charming motel with character and amenities that we really enjoyed.

This was our 2nd stop during our unplanned Covid roadtrip. After having an extremely planned out African safari fall thru because of Covid we replaced it with a raodtrip starting out of SLC (we wanted nonstop flights out of Houston with good car rental options). After a night in West Yellowstone and a day at Big Sky, MT, Bozeman was a welcome stop. We made a point ot not make reservations at most of our stops so that we could keep the trip open. The Lewis & Clark Motel is defitely an experience. What a fun atmosphere! We got a room on the 3rd floor with great sunset views. We did not get one of the cuter updated rooms, but the throwback look was still interesting. The big glass sliders provide an open feel. Luckily there are black out curtains and wall ac for white noise if you need to get to sleep earlier than others who tend to hang out on the balconies in the evening. The staff is exceptional and very professional.

The motel has a wonderful 60 foot swimming pool and spa in the basement. Staff was very friendly and will provide wine glasses, cups, whatever you need. The rooms due feature sliding glass doors which open to a main street in Bozeman, so that is a bit of a detraction. However, it is very close to everything in town and the University, and across the street from the Co-op. The breakfast was nonexistent, Nutrigrain bars from Safeway and anemic fruit? Couldn't they have purchased some delicous granola bars from the Co-op?

This is my third stay at Lewis and Clark Motel and it gets better with each stay. Each room is tastefully decorated with a microwave and small refrigerator to keep things cool. They have a wonderful pool and sauna as well workout equipment. Fresh coffee and continental breakfast is made available each morning. Snacks and drinks can be purchased in the gift shop. The lobby changes in appearance according to the time of year or holiday. If you are lucky enough to stay in December you will see over 900 Nutcrackers on display in the lobby. The staff is very attentive to ones needs. It is privately owned and it shows in the care they take to make your visit one you won't forget. I highly recommend staying there is you want a place to stay that has a home away from home feel and not some corporate hotel or motel.

A wonderful gem hidden in plain sight! Location is fantastic, right on Bozeman's Main Street, so I was a walk away from some of the best local shops and eateries the city has to offer. Nothing better than sitting on the deck and watching a Montana thunderstorm pass by :) L&C Motel has the most comfortable mattresses I've encountered, and has so much charm and personality -- you can't get this at a chain hotel! Their staff is professionally attentive and were very flexible to work with when my work trip was suddenly extended another day. Highly recommend checking out their gorgeous pool and steam room!

Thank you for such a wonderful stay. My career requires that I stay in a different hotel weekly, across the state of Montana. I must say, Lewis and Clark is my favorite hotel. I loved the attention to detail. The lobby reminded me of Frank Sinatra feel. The steam room was so refreshing and relaxing after a days’ worth of work. The warmth of the sauna felt amazing and allowed me to reflect on the day. I enjoyed the gym although I should have used it more😉 The first impression of the room was neat, tidy, and provided the essentials needed; coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. The bed, pillows and linens were so soft and comfortable which tends to be an area hotels lack in. I cannot wait to bring my husband with me in the future. He is currently deployed overseas for the United States Army. He will love this hotel and all the amenities it offers. I travel to Bozeman about every five (5) weeks. I will certainly be staying here anytime there is a vacancy. If you’ve ever wondered if all your hard work, dedication and attention to detail matters, I am here to tell you it does! Thank you for all that you do. I look forward to seeing you soon.

I just stayed at this motel in May and I did see people with dogs, so I am going to say yes, but probably only on the lower floors.

Absolutely I am a French young woman and I stayed there by myself. I felt very comfortable, with cameras in the stairs and many staff members always in the lobby. Just ask a room upstairs, you will feel better.
