Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The front desk clerk was very helpful in recommending somewhere to eat. She was quite pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was adequate but the eggs were so salty you could not eat them. There was plenty of other food to fill us up though. Not a bad place to stop for a night on the road.

We got to the room and the smell was so bad we had to go buy air fresheners.
The wall paper was coming off the wall. Shower was weak and the windows hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
I gave a four because the price and the bed were good along with being pet friendly.
The smell was not a pet smell but a Smoke smell.

I had a long day flying into Billings Montana. I had 2 heavy suitcases. When I arrived the front desk was decent. I had a room on 2nd floor and guess what? No elevator! Normally this would not bother me but my luggage was heavy and again, I was very tired. Nobody offered to help me when I got to the room the door would not open. I had to drag those bags back down and then back up to the room. How horrible those girls didn't offer to help me! The commode looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I reported it the next morning but she didn't seem to care. This was my first bad experience at a sleep inn. Before you book ask about the elevator.

I really didn't have time to read the reviews of this property and I know where the sleep inn name lies on the choice hotels hierarchy (not nearly as scary and dodgy as quality in but not as nice as the ascend collection or comfort suites - but still, Sleep Inn is a fairly nice, modern, and clean chain), so between that and the price point is that I thought I'd be getting a nice room.

No.

The room was very small for this price point (think Wyndham's Microtel), furnishings were worn, bed was like a slate of granite, and even in the year 2020, this property did not have a small microwave and small dorm room fridge.

Today, even Maw and Paw MOtels on the Interstate have dorm room fridges and microwaves.

Lady at the front desk was really sweet and offered to put my perishables in hotel's main refrigerator, as the vending machine on the second floor for ice was out of order and there was none on the first floor. So my perishables weren't going to perish but it was kind of frustrating not having immediate access to my things.

I had seen the price point for this hotel on Google Maps for one evening, and I figured that would work and I had enough faith in the name Sleep Inn being high enough up on the Choice Hotels hierarchy that could trust it.

Apparently not - wish I had read the reviews first 😥

Room was paid in advance, yet asked for credit card at check-in and then charge $1.50 safe to card without telling us. Air conditioner in room dial was broken and air conditioner didn’t operate to cool room. Bedside table drawer had candy wrapper, old notepad, pen and crumbs from a previous stay. Shower had mold in corners. We had called ahead and asked about COVID-19 cleaning, precautions and breakfast. Obvious COVID-19 cleaning isn’t being done. We’re told breakfast would be fruit, pastry, water in bag at front desk. No fruit. Couldn’t get a receipt at checkout because printer had no paper, therefore reason not seeing safe charge until after getting receipt by email. Terrible experience.

Our bad for not checking the reviews. Apparently this establishment is going downhill in a hurry.

Via my Choice Privilege Members Reservation “hotline”, I reserved a one king bed, dog friendly room. When we arrived, they had no kings left so we ended up with a double “queen“, which were actually double sized beds, not queen. That was the first disappointment. 2nd…The walls are paper thin so we could hear the young men next to us partying all night. However, one gentleman had a very nice singing voice, and decided to serenade our wing of the hotel with a country song…first thing in the morning. 3rd…It appeared that there had been a brawl in our room at some point because the cover of the air conditioning unit would not stay on. Mind you the air conditioner is a decent size unit so when the cover is laying apart from the unit, it takes up the little extra space there is in this already tight room. Next to that, the armoire had one door that wouldn’t even partially close. 4th…It looks as if, to make a little more $$ on the room they added a refrigerator and a microwave in an already tight room up against the connecting door to our, “lively” male neighbor’s room. Thus taking up more living space and half of the door, which then renders that useless for anyone that would be in need of connecting rooms. AND the microwave is not plugged in due to shortage of plug ins. 5th…The fan in the bathroom sounded as if it was close to disconnecting and shoot through the ceiling. The light was a part of the fan unit that barely lit the tiny toilet/shower room. 6th…The bathroom sink was plugged and the faucet did not match with the sink which made it rather difficult to even wash your hands, because the spigot was too short. And for the finale, it was incredibly slim pickings for the complementary breakfast. They were short on everything and no eggs or sausage. Aside from the burnt remnants in the SS heating containers. It wasn’t because of a packed house. It was about 1/4 occupied. Overall, it was just one big fat disappointment and I would not recommend making this a destination hotel or even a passing through location to rest your head. Keep searching

Accessible is not accessible
Asked for an accessible room and booked in advance. Was assured that it was but low toilet with no grab bars, had to haul myself up wth toilet paper holder. no grab. Bars i the shower. Therefore I couldn’t shower. The parking spot had a curb and I fell twice trying to get over it. No room for a crate in the room so my service dog in training spent the night in the van. If you’d don’t have an accessible room, be upfront about it so I can go elsewhere

We tried staying at this hotel on our way to South Dakota and it was absolutely terrible. The worst customer service I have ever experienced, no lights outside, plastic tarps all over the inside. This place looked like a dump. Wouldn’t pay $5 to stay here. Comforts inn across the street is 10X better!!!!

4 major issues!
1. I went to hospital the day before i was supposed to stay at Sleep Inn. I just needed to change the date of my res. Because I was not allowed to fly. They would not let me change the date so I’m out the money.
2. I got another res there (what was I thinking? Even though their advertising says that they have an airport shuttle, I was told they don’t have one. I had to call a cab.
3. Also the shower was dripping so loud when I entered the room, that I had to change rooms. Many more issues but they owe me money!! I will try 4. to call corporate because I have hospital paperwork to show them.
