I booked this hotel from the road about an hour away. My family had spent the day at Yellowstone and we were all exhausted and didn't think we could make it any longer without stopping. I called because the marriot rewards would only let me book a king suite with pullout sofa. My girls are 11&13 this was not going to work. Linda was so helpful moving our reservation into a double queen suite. Upon arrival Linda quickly got us checked in and explained all that they were doing to reduce the spread of covid 19. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The beds were all very comfortable. The hot shower had great pressure and was just what we all needed. The breakfast due to the pandemic was a choice of cereal, fruit, muffin or jimmy deans breakfast sandwiches which could easily be heated up and enjoyed from your room because the room comes with refrigerator, microwave, cook top , dishes and dishwasher. The lady at the desk that helped us with breakfast and made fresh coffee when I asked because it was empty was so very nice helpful and polite I wish I had gotten her name too. If ever in the area again we will be staying here again.

Stayed one night back in April of 2020, I was moving across the county and picked this hotel based on the prices and location. It fit my needs for the one night. Not sure if I'd stay here again, might try another hotel if I'm ever in the area again.

Nicely located property in Billings. Hotel is newer with an attractive exterior and lobby. Check in was mechanical, no explanation of Bonvoy options or benefits and it appears they are defaulting to 500 "bonus" points. Room was well designed and spotless. Marriott needs to get a handle on breakfast during these times. Grab and go is inconsistent at best. At this location, there was 1 breakfast sandwich left at 7:50 AM on a Monday. When we asked the lady, her response was that more would be available once "her help" showed up? I guess that became our problem at that point...Overall, would not hesitate in staying again. PS - If you have an hour or two, hit the zoo not to far away. It was really well done!

I only stayed here because I had a Marriott gift card. This place is overpriced, I stayed in a similar style room with small kitchen at at Wyndham Hawthorn and it was $50 less a night and 50% bigger. Folks, I have stayed in hotels my entire life and even the lowest tier Super 8’s and Motel 6 has an ice machine on each floor. Not here! One one ice machine on the main floor and it was broken. I drove both in the evening and morning to buy ice at a gas station. And guess why the ice machine is broken? Because the entire hotel is using it, it can’t keep up. It’s worn out! Even if they fix it, it will be quickly empty as most people get ice for their coolers. A four story huge hotel and one ice machine......What an absolute joke, they spent all this money on their overpriced hotel and skimped out on ice machines. Very inconvenient and annoying.

Hello Bryanem! Thank you for your feedback about your stay at TownePlace. I'm so sorry to hear about your frustrations with the ice machine. Because each room has a full kitchen in which ice can be made in the freezer, many TownePlace hotels only feature one ice machine. We wish you safe travels this summer and hope to see you again.

Arrived late and the front desk attendant was very welcoming and knew how to correctly process a mobile checkin. Props to him.

The rooms... thought they were a bit small for this class of hotel. You’ll find all of the amenities you would expect. Furnishings were comfortable but a bit dark and dated. The bed was comfortable, except for the pillows.

In terms of Covid cleanliness.. overall they get an A-. The room was very clean, wipes were left, and remote was bagged after cleaning. The only minus were the shared toiletries. Blech.

Breakfast was offered at the front desk but the options were pretty pathetic. They could do better here. Also they need to put the correct sized coffee packets in the room to match the pot size.

I think this was my first stay at a TownePlace, maybe my second... it was good. I think the competitors put out a better product overall.

Booked here while helping our son and girlfriend move from Spokane to Denver. My first choice was the Fairfield but the Fairfield doesn’t accept pets and they had their cats. So we stayed here since it looked newer. Outside looked wonderful but the public areas inside looked dirty. The room itself was very clean. Did not like the room layout at all. Bathroom is really small, has no counter space and the closet is in bathroom. My wife and I couldn’t try to use sink and access closet at same time or even leave out some toiletries. Internet was the slowest I have come across in a long time. COVID breakfast was better than others I have had. Also was unhappy with room assigned. Gold level member with Marriott and I always request a quiet room away from elevator. So our room was right across from the elevator. I was really tired and still had a very hard time sleeping.

I called to make a free certificate points stay and talked to Jasmine. She made the reservation and said I should have a paper copy of the free certificate stay. I told her it was in my app as two free stay certificates. She said she would talk to her manager in the morning and they would figure it out on their end and that I was all set.

I arrived at the hotel to Checkin and the lady said it was a cash stay, $350. Interesting enough her name tag said Jasmine but she said it wasn’t her that made the reservation. I informed her I made a free point certificate stay and told her Jasmine made the reservation. The Checkin Jasmine didn’t know what to do and said there was no manager available, she finally did use her cell phone to call her manager and disappeared to the back room. I was then told I was misinformed and there was nothing she could do except offer me a room upgrade and discount the room to 300. I told her this was not acceptable as I booked a free certificate stay. She said there was nothing she could do and that I could speak with Mamagment in the morning. I was not willing to pay 300 to stay at this hotel which is why I was using point/free certificate. I asked her to cancel the reservation and she kindly said they would charge my credit card for the stay anyway. I told her none of this was right and expressed my frustration. She had another conversation with her manager via cell phone again and said she can’t do anything for me and they were still going to charge my credit card for their mistake.

She was not empowered to do anything herself, she wouldn’t let me speak with her manager and said they would be in tomorrow morning. I texted the manager my frustrations as his cell number was on his business card (he would not answer my phone call). I called corporate Marriott and the supervisor was not able to do anything or cancel my reservation. I Did receive a text message after 40+ minutes of dealing with this from the manager that he would not charge my card if I canceled. I stay at enough properties to earn gold elite status and have stayed multiple times at this hotel and I will never stay at this property again.

We drove two additional hours further in our trip to a different hotel. One of the other reviews was right. This is not a typical Marriott as no one is able to troubleshoot problems or help you out and no management works evenings.

822melh- Thank you for providing feedback- Typically, Trip Advisor is a platform for guests to share experiences from a stay in which they have checked into a hotel. However, this is certainly not the experience we want any of our guests to have and I appreciate your comments. After receiving more information from my team, I believe the miscommunication was in regards to the certificate that you wanted to use. The certificate being a free night from your Bonvoy account, whereas we were expecting a paper-certificate at check in (such as one donated to various charities or events). Either way, I am sorry for the frustration you experienced. I also want to thank you for reaching out to me directly via text message and giving me the opportunity to communicate with you. (I was in a theatre and chose not to answer as I didn't recognize the number, but was able to respond quietly via text.) I do hope you will give us another chance when you come to Billings in the future. We want to ensure you are satisfied with your experiences at TownePlace Billings. I hope we will earn your trust again on a future stay and live up to your expectations as we have in the past!

We bookended our visit to Yellowstone by staying here on our way in and again on our way out. I chose the hotel because of the advertised covid-19 measures and we weren't disappointed. It seemed very safe, and they still managed to provide us with a grab and go breakfast that was very good, especially for the circumstances. This area of town seems pretty quiet, but it is not centrally located. There are a few places to eat within walking distance, and we did have great pizza delivered to our room. The kitchenette came in very handy for warming up our breakfast sandwiches and they extra space for our food and beverages was very handy.

We stayed here in October 2020 for over a week. Checkin and out was efficient and friendly. We had a king suite, which has a tiny but reasonable kitchen, comfy bed, sofa, and desk with chair. It was tight with two of us and our bags, but manageable. Given covid, cleaning is only done on request. I went to front desk for towels and garbage bags 2 timws during the stay, and sometimes staff seemed put upon to give these supplies-- which surprised me. But overall a good stay. Nice lobby with tables and chairs, plus small area by gas fireplace that is good to meet people while socially distancing.

Staff was extremely kind.
Rooms were spacious and clean.
The patio was nice and comfortable.
Location was good (although google needs a bad review on directions there;))
They had nice refreshments available.
Breakfast food was decent (better than most hotels)
They had a water dispenser with fruits, etc. in then. My son kept suggesting new ideas and a very special staff member made sure to, not only make it, but name it after him. He still talks about that. The staff accommodated anything they could.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Answer from Jordan C
We do not have any dedicated truck parking, however in the back section of the parking lot, you are more than welcome to park alongside the curb- many 'towers' find this the easiest and though it isn't a true parking spot, we certainly allow it!
