Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have stayed at Big Horn a couple times. We loved the convenience of the water park being attached. We had 2 rooms, and as it wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed, it's definitely on the bottom now. One room was missing light bulbs in the ceiling and 1 of the table lamps. The extra bedding for the hide a bed were too small. In the other room, the bed was awful. If you sat on it, you felt like you would fall through to the floor. There was only a blanket for the extra bedding. The floor wasn't all that clean, found a bottle on the floor under the couch and some chips on the floor by the bed. Saw paint peeling off the walls in the common areas and the breakfast was a joke. A muffin, apple and a granola bar. I get covid has made it hard and places are short staffed, just overall disappointed from our previous stays. And the poor front desk guys seem to have to do all aspects of "breakfast" including keeping the coffee full, which on a busy Saturday morning can be a full time job.

The Big Horn Resort is another hotel selected due to advertised amenities that fails to deliver as promised. After paying an extra $10 per person to enjoy the waterpark, we were surprised to discover the hot tub was broken and there was no real swimming area. The walls are thin and there is no sound reduction in the flooring. The sound coming through the door and from overhead was annoying. The halls smell a bit musty and the carpet was dirty. The beds were comfortable with nice linens, perhaps the best partof our stay. We did enjoy the giant rabbits grazing on the lawn.

Clean rooms, great beds. Hot Water (you stay in 1 place without it & it becomes a priority). Right next to a great restaurant (Rib & Chop House). Small well stocked bar and casino (not disruptive to your and your children's enjoyment). Love the huge shower with a fold down bench if needed. Wendy in the Bar was awesome. Will definitely stay again.

I sleep with a CPAP and a fan...A/C noise was soft and a moot point.

Last night was our first time (and last time) staying at the Big Horn "Resort". The room we stayed in was clean, but smelled so strongly of bleach and cleaner we had to leave the window open for several hours. The bed was horrible. It was a king size and one side it felt like the box spring was broken, the mattress sagged so badly. The other side was so broken down on the edge I almost rolled off in the middle of the night. The exterior lights outside our room were also so bright - the black out curtains didnt work so well, light was shining in around the sides and bottom of the curtains.

The floors are covered in vinyl wood tiles and combined with the thinnest walls ever, we could hear everything in the rooms around us and above us.

We arrived at 5:30 and were told we could use the hotel pool and spa until 7. We got changed for the pool and went to find it so we could have a short soak. Then we discovered the 'hotel pool' is in the water park. The place was packed, lots of kids and families. Not really any 'resort' or relaxation vibes. (Or we could have also paid $24 to enjoy the water park for an hour)

I did not sleep and I am grumpy today, but there are far better places to stay and spend your money in Billings!

Bad, bad, bad. Dated and poorly cleaned. Bed was sunken in the middle so created the hammock effect for my husband and I all night. The sofa pull out bed has seen better days and was extremely uncomfortable, not to mention loud. Every time my child moved it woke the room. Just overall not a good experience. It was dirty, black hairs in the shower on walls and in drain. I don’t have a problem staying in a room like this if the price is right... at the rate of $130 per night I expect a higher standard. We won’t be back and I suggest if you want a water park experience to stay somewhere else and simply visit the water park as it is an extra charge anyways. The covid 19 sack breakfast left much to be desired as well. Time to update the place or drop the prices to below $100 a night.

For the price of the hotel i was surprised to see paint and walls chipping, couch with stains and multiple pieces of hair in the bathtub. Our family staying in another room had leftover food still in their fridge. We asked for a change of rooms bc the couch did not work for a pullout, and once we got our new room the front desk attendant said, "dont be surprised if you find a dead body when you pull out the couch mattress." We thankfully did not find that, but there was a wad of dirty sheets. Only positive is Breakfast was decent, good hot water pressure and of course the water park. There are much nicer hotels within walking distance and would recommend staying there and just paying the admission to go to the water park. If this hotel was $89 a night i wouldn't have been as disappointed as i was.

My family of 6 booked a night here based on the info that they had a water park pool. The hours of the pool said 10am-7pm. We arrived late at night and planned to swim in the morning for an hour before checkout (at 11am). My kids were very excited. We checked in and learned that there is an additional charge for the water park (the only pool at the resort) and it was $14 per person on top of the $200 a night rate. Then we learned that their open hours in September were 4pm-8pm during the week. We were there on a Wednesday. We were very disappointed and had we known this info, we wouldn’t have stayed here. I thought I would visit the gym since we weren’t allowed to swim and learned that their gym is 2 miles away from the hotel. If you are traveling as a family and want a normal hotel with normal family amenities, I do not recommend staying here.

Stayed here with my family over my daughters Fall Break from School. Within the first 5 minutes of walking into our room, I know we made a mistake. From pubic hairs left in the shower, mold in the bathroom faucet and a toilet that didn't flush right, it was disappointing. In the middle of the night, I am woken up by my child telling me that the toilet is backed up. After fiddling with it for an hour, I want back to bed to deal with it in the morning. Went to the front desk in the morning requesting a new room for our second night. Front desk clerk acted like she was doing me a favor and wasn't sympathetic at all for my troubles.
This is the 2nd time I've stayed here, mainly because they used to give you free passes to the attached waterpark. Not anymore. You receive a $2 discount at the water park for being a hotel guest. Seriously??
Do yourself a favor and save the headache. Stay at one of the other nearby hotels. Better quality, better price and not disgusting.

Customer service needs help because it was horrible!!! Then we walk into our room and there was feces in the toilet, splattered toothpaste on mirror, Hand prints on mirror in the room,Counter top dirty and mirror as well, Gum or something on ceiling and not to mention the floor was dirty. I have stayed in a-lot of hotels this one was by far the worst. Called the front desk and we were told there are no rooms left to transfer us to so they sent someone up to clean it.( I should have cleaned it myself)

Booked this hotel months ago with the understanding they had renovations on the waterpark but would be done a month before we arrived. At our arrival we were greeted with a water park closer notification at the front desk. They should have disclosed this to their guests before arrival. We traveled 6 hours with kids on the promise of a water park. The confirmation email I received a week or so before arrival clearly stated water park hours and not a complete closure.
