Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This facility is disgusting. I had to leave for my safety and health after being bitten by bed bugs being in the room for just a few hours... horrible filthy facility. There are No coffee makers in room No ice buckets ( ice machine was non-functional) toilet was broken (had to call maintenance three times to get it resolved) no screens on the dirty windows air filter on AC was filthy ( made room stink when you turned it on) Garbage behind the one chair in the room (which was grimy, filthy and looked like something found on the side of the road) Go to Super 8 for Upgrade. I have reported to Department of health and safety for the bed bugs.

Rooms have new flooring, great beds, large space, very clean, I have allot of pollen/other allergies and I woke up totally refreshed! Bathrooms are clean and the most important thing is the price was very affordable, I would stay here again anytime because the staff were super friendly and helpful. Brendan was very friendly. Thank you! The hotel is under new management and they are definitely turning this place around, the Thai food was excellent. And it's very close to downtown but easy access to the interstate. So for us it was perfect.

This is definitely an example of "you get what you pay for". It was acceptable for a quick overnight stay to visit family on our way through to somewhere else. The room was very spartan and spare and quite old and shabby-looking, but clean. The bed was kind of lumpy. They provided two bath towels but only one washcloth. There were packets of shampoo and rinse but no soap for the sink. The receptionists (we met two) were very friendly. For the price it was acceptable.

It’s a safe roof over your head. We have been camping for the last 6 days. A hot shower, a roof and electricity were great. The staff is pleasant. Fixtures work. The price is agreeable for what you get. Lodging has been difficult to find this summer. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel.

Worst place ever. On a 45 day cross country trip and this plave is the worse weve ever stayed. They need to be shut down. My husband wrote a review and the owner's response was " stay somewhere else next time for twice the price. We don't care bout fancy; but filthy, no towels, unknown brown stains around the bed, no soap, and shampoo conditioner bottles empty. No ice bucket. Response from staff is " dont know why people steal that stuff all the time and the brown stain is hair dye cause they dye their hair all the time. Im a nurse and it really looked like fecal material. Close rhis place down!

The place smells like a stale ashtray. This is the dirtiest I’ve ever seen a carpet in a business without it being under construction. The sheets were stained also. The room ac unit was off when we got in and the unit couldn’t keep up to cool the room. The price is low but you get what you pay for.

My daughter nearly died in a car accident so I needed somewhere to stay and at short notice. I chose this because of the reviews and price. The room was below average but it sufficed. While on toilet a pack rat ran over my feet. I told staff they said that was gross. I figured they took care of it while I was gone. Nope they never even cleaned my room. Never offered a discount or even an apology. Later that night it ran from under the bed. Rat poop all over. Normally I would have found a different room or just went home but my daughter is in the hospital, it was snowing, there was no other rooms available in Billings due to several conventions. I told the front desk and she said the only thing they could do was set traps. Things happen I get that, but no apology, no discount. They couldn’t switch me rooms because they were booked up. The next morning I ask if I can please have my money back for the additional night I had booked. He said no. Maybe he’d see If he could give me fifty percent back. Wow. He said I should have canceled. I guess he expected me to sleep in my truck. It’s whatever. I just hope this review helps others from making the same mistake. The shady people that hang out all over the parking lot when it gets dark, the pack rats, the cheap skate owner, the tub without a drain, the nasty carpet, rat poop floors, jimmied window screens and no room keys should make u think twice about staying at “The Vegas”.

The staff are terrible, high on drugs and steal constantly. This is one of the most disgusting places I've ever had the displeasure of staying at. The management allows their staff to kick people out so they can steal their belongings. I watched them kick out a single mother and then take turns going through her stuff. All the while making condescending comments to her and her child. These people disgust me

I stayed here with my daughter on a cross-country trip, partially based on the reviews. I usually like non-chain places and am pretty tolerant. But I guess I overlooked the bad reviews for this hotel - because they were right! Overall: The Vegas Hotel is not safe for COVID-19 and dirty to boot. It did not feel safe otherwise either. My greatest concern - there was almost no attempt at all to make this motel COVID-19 safe. I looked online before I drove through Montana, and Billings was the hotspot. I was so surprised that the only change they appeared to make was to close the buffet. None of the clerks, not even the one who was pregnant (and smoking during her breaks!) wore a mask. They were so slow to with check-in that I thought I was going to get sick right there (no barriers, nothing). This was the total opposite of contact-less checkin. There were also groups of questionable characters hanging out right by the front door smoking nearly all day and all night. They looked like super spreaders at worst, and certainly drug dealers! The housekeepers weren't wearing masks while cleaning or walking in the halls either. Though it's questionable they were cleaning at all - our room was scary dirty. Stained carpet, dirt under the bed, dirty fridge... My daughter and I were the only ones I saw on the property with a mask on. There was no way to get to our room without coming into close contact with several unmasked people at any time of the day. We felt like we had to quarantine after staying at this hotel. And, we got a bad sleep too. The bed was uncomfortable, the air conditioner loud and smelly, and there were people coming in all night long. At one point their was a domestic violence type situation in the hall outside our room. We called the front desk, but they didn't care. Stay away.
