Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here earlier this month, and were very happy with our choice. This is an upscale hotel (they issue you a parking permit when you check in), but if you are travelling with heavy luggage, you will want to stay on the main floor, WHICH IS THE SECOND FLOOR. We strongly advise you to make this request with your reservation.
The rooms are large and well-appointed, with light colored Swedish style furniture that is a welcome alternative to the heavy, dark furniture favored by most hotels. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows small; we carry our own, so this was not a problem. Breakfast was surprisingly minimal, but the indoor pool and hot tub were a great treat at the end of a long day. The hotel was very quiet.
There is one added bonus: between Gallatin Gateway and Big Sky, the Gallatin River flows through a beautiful canyon that has lots of turnouts for the local fishermen. so you can enjoy scenery that frankly puts Yellowstone to shame. There is also a decent BBQ joint (Riverhouse Grill) just a couple of miles to the south.
We look forward to staying here again.

We stayed for 2 nights. Pool and hot tub were clean. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms are older but that was not an issue for us. Breakfast was adequate. Front desk staff were friendly. Only complaint is that we booked the stay as part of a package with Big Sky and the parking pass we were given by front desk to use at Big Sky didn’t work for the lot we were told to use and none of the parking attendants at Big Sky knew where we could park with the pass we were given. We ended up just paying $30 to park at base of mountain instead of wasting valuable ski time searching for the included lot. So I think that needs to be explained better.

Not too expensive considering the location at Big Sky and close to Yellowstone. The clerk offered us help to get our selves and a heavy wheeled box I use to carry our travel supplies in up the stairs. It was a comfortable room and we have no complaints except the minor inconvenience of dragging heavy luggage up stairs.

Located away from the uber opulence of Lone Peak, this is a nicely quiet yet very comfortable place to lodge and rest whilst enjoying the Gallatin Canyon country. Breakfast in a box is a simple affair due to covid 19 restrictions but this will pass. The pool was open and I found all to be most congenial and relaxing.

Right outside of Big Sky Resort and about halfway between Bozeman airport and West Yellowstone. I booked this because it was affordable and fairly close to both Yellowstone and Montana Whitewater. The location is right on the main road and it doesn't have the greatest curb appeal. But it has everything you need. The bedding is good, the free breakfast is basic but has everything you need (coffee, juice, cereal, muffins, bread, spreads, etc.) It also has stocked vending machines, a pool/hot tub with a waterslide and a small workout room. The lobby is nice and the desk people are friendly. It's not the Hilton, but it's perfectly adequate for its purpose and if the location works for you, it's a perfectly functional budget option.

Easy to find, good parking, very warm welcome, efficient check in and early room access.
The entry way/common area was beautiful & tranquil. Finishing our evenings with the hot tub, pool, and water slide served best to fulfill our PM wind-down!
Sam and Liv were so friendly and helpful; providing a recommendation to the best meal you will have on your trip! (No spoilers, you’ll have to ask them yourself!)
Breakfast lounge was clean/comfortable and servings were simple, ample & fresh.
If mindful that objective was a very affordable, reasonably comfortable stay, then in summary we could not have been more satisfied. To expect much more in any manner is impractical and a disconnect from your objective. Thank you Whitewater Inn!

Kind staff, comfortable and spacious rooms with lots of storage (my room had two dressers, so clearly they're used to long-term guests), great pool, and fantastic views. I was booked here for work, so I did not have a choice and that's always a crapshoot but I was very pleased with the hotel. Very comfortable beds and I slept extremely well.
Be aware there are a couple of restaurants within a mile, and they serve a light breakfast, but there's no food otherwise within walking distance.

This was a clean, well-kept hotel which served as a stop before heading to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The staff was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was limited due to covid but it was no big deal for us as we were interested in starting on our way.

Nice location in Big Sky. We had a 3 queen room, it was nice and spacious. Simple but Nice breakfast. Teen children enjoyed the pool and slide. Nice hot tub. Only complaint was under the beds weren’t the cleanest, found a little trash from prior occupants. Overall would recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I don’t know if breakfast is different for Covid or if it’s their normal breakfast but we thought it was perfect. My husband enjoyed the pool and the waterslide, I enjoyed the hot tub. We found everything to be clean and well-maintained. We will absolutely stay here again if we ever come back.
We also found it to be a great location for everything that we were doing on our visit.
