Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For the last 5 years my wife and I have been going to Big Sky for our annual winter get away. We have enjoyed most places to stay in the village and moonlight. This year was a first for our 2yo Huntley and my wife's parents. Shoshone did not disappoint. The breakfast is amazing and the fact that it's in the hotel is why we stayed there this trip. A 2yo that is still on Eastern Time means early mornings and the ability to enjoy ourselves downstairs was perfect. Huntley also enjoyed her Small Fry Try at the mountain sports school! Joe there was amazing with her. He worked his magic and actually by the end of our trip she was wanting to go on her own. We can't thank him enough for his kindness and energy with our daughter. The location is the best case scenario for a family with young kids.

We stayed in an owners condo- (a friend of ours) Comfortable room, front desk team was friendly helpful. Karina helped us get settled and answered our questions and generally did a great job taking care of us. The other front desk team members were also polite and helpful. The gentleman and young lady who did the s’mores were also friendly and went out of their way to include guests and others in the fun. On site laundry was helpful, pool didn’t disappoint . Quick walk to the slopes. Thanks for a great stay! Ethan

The condos are in great shape, I saw negative reviews that the bathrooms are old - I don't agree, just they have old floors. The decor, cleanliness, kitchen, all perfect. Hotel has boot room on lowest level, and comp ski valet at the base. It's only a 5 min walk to the base but it's really nice not to have to drag your equipment back and forth. We will be back for sure!! Thanks Shoshone and big sky. This mountain is dope.

Great staff from the Valet to the housekeeping to the front desk. Your paying for location as the rooms are very small, dated, and way overpriced. The lift ticket prices as of this year have become overpriced for the experience for the first time. I’ve always felt when they have jacked ticket prices over the last 40 years they were valid in doing it until now. The housekeepers were the Best!

My young daughter and I stayed in a six floor unit at Shoshone Hotel and Condominium March 23 to 29 and enjoyed our stay very much despite what I found were a number of less than 5 star reviews from Trip Advisor contributors which I read last Fall before I booked our unit. I went with gut and am pleased I did. No, the property is not brand new, and the units are on the small side but I felt management had done a very good job of updating and maintaining the property and it is extremely well located for ski access and convenience with ample access to shops and dining at the conference center or in The Exchange . Our unit had a beautiful view of the Mountian Village, was quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The coffee maker worked ( yea!) the beds were comfortable, the showers user friendly and the flat screen TV's functioned well along with their WI-FI. Check all those boxes. My favorite feature of the property is the fitness club which opens to a hot tub area leading to a 150 person capacity heated pool, one of the best I have found at a major NA ski resort. A pleasant surprise. The lobby featured a fabulous bronze art sculpture of a grizzly bear, which really set the scene and distinguished Shoshone and Huntley Lodge. I arrived with moderate expectations and they were greatly exceeded. Good job folks, would love to come back!

My mom, my sister and I stayed at the Shoshone Condominium Hotel for our annual girls trip and we could not have been more impressed. We had such a wonderful stay and absolutely loved the staff. Demi and Javier helped us at the front desk and were so nice and accommodating. Garfield, who works in housekeeping, was very polite. We also loved the guys at the front who helped us with our bags, especially Jake. The location was so close to the ski slopes and the continental breakfast was to die for. Thank y’all for making our trip to Big Sky so awesome! We will definitely be back. 10/10 would recommend.

The rooms are spacious with plenty of bed options, although new mattresses are needed. Views were great! Bathrooms need full remodel - broken shelves, mold. We also left some items in a drawer in our room and we've had the hardest time tracking them down. Still lost :(

Beautiful condo. Greeted by friendly staff each and every time we arrived. Our rooms were fully stocked, clean, and had stunning views. We stayed on the 7th floor and loved waking up each morning. The staff were super helpful and friendly, especially when I needed some first aid and help w the laundry. Heated pool, hot tub, workout room, movies playing each night and lots of things to do. Even free parking! Highly recommend. We will be back!

Great views, well appointed and comfortable, amazing access to the slopes. The housekeeping was a step beyond any I have experienced anywhere. Valets are eager to assist on check-in.

Drop into the Solace Spa, and try the Apres Ski Massage with MIkalyn or Kennedy- really excellent bodywork.

My only complaint? The views were spectacular, I wish the windows were cleaner...

Gauge and Noor were a great help when I needed it in the health club each day. My friends ski but I do not so the health club is my go to place each day. Beautifully appointed and a great pool.
The valets at the door are welcoming and very helpful as is the concierge and front desk people.
Chet’s Bar and Grill is on-site with delicious food.
