Detailed Reviews
This hotel is nice because it is new. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned and they are doing everything they can to combat the spread of covid. The location in the town center is ideal as you can walk to all the shops and restaurants, and they offer a daily ski shuttle, just reserve a spot the day before. The front desk staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, I really felt welcomed when I came in, and they remembered me by name the remainder of my stay. Unfortunately the building is built cheaply and the noise travels easily. My whole floor sounded like a big party 24/7 from screaming kids, arguing adults, and partying teenagers. I could hear neighbors on both sides and across the hall, so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper like me. The king bed was made with a queen comforter which was awkward sleeping however given that the hotel was full they never changed it. The breakfast is kind of a joke, they have baby fruit cups and a half grilled cheese sandwich wrapped in tin foil. If you are gluten free or dairy free I suggest you bring something with you or go elsewhere. The restaurant off the lobby Copper is open for dinner and has a rowdy atmosphere, unfortunately I had a bad experience however I worked it out with management. Overall, it’s a residence inn so I didn’t have high expectations, I was satisfied with my stay, and for Big Sky which has a lot of run down hotels, this one is worth staying at if anything just for cleanliness and newness sake.

Large, clean hotel, great Meadow location full of retail/restaurants/a movie theater, ~ 5 min drive downhill from the main ski area; this is a Marriott Residence Inn (rooms with kitchenettes). Good size rooms (some with great mountain views), comfortable beds, closet, luggage rack, table, couch, kitchen area has limited counter space, microwave, 2 burners, mini dishwasher, small sink, full-size fridge, toaster, coffee maker, TVs have internet connectivity & some cable. bathroom with standup shower, limited toiletries. Average free breakfast, free parking, nice staff.

Dear L H, Thank you so much for the kind review. We are in a fantastic location in the heart of Town Center, with great ease of access to many restaurants within a short walking distance from the hotel including Lotus Pad, Ousel and Spur Pizza, China Cafe, and Toast, to name a few! Hopefully you were able to experience one of them for a memorable dining experience. We very much look forward to welcoming you back to The Wilson Hotel. We could not check in @ 4 PM which was disappointing. The front desk staff though did everything they could to ease our concerns, offering complimentary rinks till our room was ready. Once in we realized this is an upscale Residence Inn located right in the middle of town. There are plenty of restaurants and also a great grocery store "Roxy" just steps away. Hotel is practicing facemask rules and there were hand wipes on every floor as well as the lobby. Well done Wilson Team! Of course, it will be easy to return here next trip.

Originally I wanted to stay at the base of the mountain, but due to conferences couldn't get a room. The Wilson I understand opened it's doors June 2019. Place is spotless and while not up on the mountain itself, they provide free to and from bus shuttle to the base of Big Sky Ski Resort. They offer ski storage room. Their breakfast was very good, including real eggs and and bacon (not pre-made/ frozen that others might serve). I would go back in a heartbeat.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a full kitchen (no oven), a separate living area and bedroom and a balcony.
Beautiful pool and hot tub. ( we did not use either but saw them from our balcony). There was a bar and restaurant on site that were temporarily closed due to COVID.
There were other places a short walk away to eat, and hotel was walking distance to the lovely downtown center. Parking was free.
The staff did not wear masks (with the exception of housekeeping if they interacted with anyone). There was a glass partition at front desk on check in but it was only partial.
There was hand sanitizer at the front desk and wipes at the elevator.
In the morning housekeeping entered our room without knocking, perhaps thinking we had left already. The DND sign was not on the door, but I would think they would have knocked.
The lack of mask by staff did concern me. I would think a corporation as big as Marriott would strive to protect their employees as well as guest, especially in an industry where so many come and go from other areas.

This hotel has it all. great location. Walk to restaurants, shopping and even ice skating. Rooms all have a kitchen. Beds are comfy.
The daily breakfast is more then you could ask for. Friendly staff. 24/7 you can access lemon water, hot water and hot coffee in the lobby. Very inviting space. Heated outdoor pool and hot tub to soak in after a long day.
Great for our family and we will be back!

We had a wonderful time. Miles and Jake were awesome and took great care of us. That part of the trip was 5 star!!! The facilities and precautions taken were excellent except that the cleaning people did not wear masks while cleaning or in the hallway. They do not know how to wear a mask appropriately (wearing them under their noses as well) or didn't bother to wear one at all. One lady laughed and said she just forgot it on her cart. I realize it gets uncomfortable and warm. I understand as I am a hospital employee and have to wear one at all times in my job. I mentioned something to the cleaning people every time I walked by them and they basically just laughed. Did not bother to put them on. Saw this happen several times over several days. With the lack of knowledge and concern, they would probably be the ones to bring COVID in and spread it around the facilities and rooms. Makes me upset as my husband and I are older and preexisting conditions. A manager was up on the floor checking things out as they cleaned and didn't seem to be concerned as well.

+1
I actually loved this location and hotel. We were 2 Grandparents traveling with our 6, 9, and 12 year grand kids . The rooms were comfortable and very clean the price reasonable and a great kitchenette with 2 burner cook top full size fridge and microwave. There is free breakfast with the usual foods which the kids loved.
A big plus for us since tours start early was the ability to ha e breakfast and our coffee at 6 am . We have often found starting at 7 am is difficult with children and as having worked all our life we are early risers. The hotel staff were so friendly and kind. Check in was efficient and fast.
The highlight of our trip was our Private Tour of Yellowstone Park with the kids we took with “Wild Trout Outfitters and Guide Service.” It was recommended by the hotel. Brandon our tour guide who is actually also an Expert Fishing Guide and wealth of Yellowstone Knowledge picked us up at our hotel in our Mercedes Coach. He was awesome with the kids friendly fresh and just made the trip fun for all of us.
It may seem an expense you may not be able to afford but it was actually quite affordable and even more so practical.
The day was scheduled around what we wanted to focus on and bathroom breaks, wading in the rivers, hiking to water falls picnic lunch by the river were some of the more non touristic things we wanted to do. We saw wildlife, and the kids were given a little list to check the ones they saw along the way. We were able to buy our picnic foods and drinks at the grocery next to Residence Inn with snacks our kids like and small ice chest.
I would say if you can manage it find cheaper lodging and do the private tour with Mr. JD’s group of expert guides and fishermen. Neither you or the family will ever remember a hotel room but they will remember an awesome tour in Yellowstone Park. The tour is just your group. We are going to do a River Float trip and fly fishing with our kids. This outfit group is comfortable dealing with novices and kids and happy to teach you.
We were not disappointed by anything at the hotel and it was just a super great trip.

We stayed 2 nights last week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kennedy, Chris and Sarah at the front desk were helpful, friendly and cheerful. Amazing gym with new equipment, laundry room was an added bonus. Fully equipped kitchen allowed us to eat in which was a nice change up from the previous nights. Plenty of towels and bath products. Emre was our housekeeper and he was very friendly. The bed was amazing and the blackout curtains did their magic. Breakfast is a full on buffet, you won't need to buy breakfast on the mountain. The ski storage was an added feature we took advantage of in addition to the shuttle up the hill. We booked directly with the Marriot website and felt it was money well spent with all the amenities. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and kudos to your excellent staff!

This was the most pleasant surprise. We didn’t realize we were in a Marriott hotel when we pulled up to the Wilson. The common space decor was above standard and we took full advantage of the heated pool and jacuzzi during a morning snow flurry. The staff was warm and welcoming-We especially appreciated Trevor as he informed us about the breakfast offerings being vegetarian or not and wanting to ensure we had an option! The hotel is taking all precautions when it comes to the pandemic.
We enjoyed our work-stay at the Wilson so much we came back the next week for leisure and the staff was generous enough to offer us the same rate each night even though it was listed differently on their website. Needless to say, if the views weren’t reason enough to stay, the hotel amenities and fantastic staff are an added perk!

It’s not a ski in/ski out. I’m would call the hotel to find out about a shuttle.
The hotel appeared to be full-service and should have a ski check but we were there in the summer so I can't say for sure.
