We stayed on a Sunday night before driving to Yellowstone and Thursday before our flight home. The 1st room on the second floor had a king sized bed, gas fireplace and a separate room with a spa tub and TV over the tub. We did not use either. Our only complaint was that the bed was about 3 feet off the floor and it was hard for 78 year olds to climb into. The room had all the usual amenities and was very spacious. The breakfast buffet was better than most thse days. It had scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits, a waffle maker and all the usual items. The second stay was on the 3d floor and had a king sized bed that was lower and no spa tub but it was still much bigger than most. I have seen several reviews that claimed rooms or common areas were dirty and service was poor. This was NOT our experience. These reviews have similar wording and may be an effort to intentionally discredit the hotel. This place is not fancy but it punches all the tickets. It is comfortable, spacious and the service is good.

The hotel is a good place to start your visit to the area of Montana and Wyoming when arriving at Bozeman international airport in the evening. Staff is friendly, accommodation is modest. It is good to stay for the first night and then going for Yellowstone, a 100 meters from the highway. Car parking is for free. Rooms are spacious, noisy fridge.

Beds pretty good and it's clean. The cost cutting measures are very apparent, though. Doors need to be cleaned and painted, our room had patched walls from door handles hitting them that had been plastered but not sanded and painted. Leaves a pretty shabby impression. Also, the thermostat cannot be turned down below 71, which left me uncomfortably warm overnight. Quite a bit of noise, so bring your earplugs. Breakfast was pitiful, a hot dish with nothing in it, no fresh fruit, a waffle maker but no batter. Soggy prepackaged pastries, rubbery hard boiled eggs, no plain creamer, two kinds of cereal, bagels or toast and some prepackaged oatmeal mix. Location is pretty convenient to the airport, no shuttle. I feel like it was overpriced for what it is.

My semi's heater froze up, so my company offered to put me up in a hotel and they'll reimburse me for it. That's fair! Going back probably 10+ years ago, La Quinta left Wyndham. In 2019, they re-joined. So, armed with my old Wyndham Rewards card and ID, I got in. The decor in the lobby was nice, the room had NONE of the complaints the others had. I kinda liked the wood headboards and furniture, a woodsy motif. The bed was just right. So, would I stay again? If I am in the area, I might!

My only suggestion: since there is a large truck stop next door, a CDL discount would be nice (I wasn't offered one if they do), and have the truck stop post something about it. That way, you'll get a lot more truck drivers checking in!

We took the last room LaQuinta had and could not find another room in town or we would have left. Opening the door, the smell of wet dog/dirty socks permeated the room. The carpet was sticky so we had to wear shoes all the time even to go to the bathroom at night.
There was no face tissues in the bathroom, no coffeemaker or paper towels in the kitchen area. My husband called about getting a coffeemaker and we got no reply back.
To make matters worse, the people above us were making noise like a herd of elephants and had a dog who barked a few times. We called after 9pm to ask the front desk to talk to them and again had to call after 10pm before it got quite.
The next morning we talked to the mgr and she would only offer a $20 discount.

We are not complainers; we have only complained 1 or 2x’s in our 40+ yrs. of traveling for careers and personal leisure about a stay. This was a horrible experience!

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, including La Quintas, and this has to be the 2nd most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I didn’t even want to walk barefoot or sit on the furniture. There were stains all over the carpet and furniture, dust caked around the edges of the carpet, on light fixtures, furniture, and cords, the paint job looked like a toddler did it with run off on to the tiles and all over the bathtub, brown residue built up around the sink and on shower head, chunks missing off the walls and beat up appearances, the toilet would barely flush, and the wall controls for the air conditioner did not work. We had to stand on a chair to operate the cooling system high on the wall. Very outdated and poor hygiene. The exterior of the building is deceiving… the log beams are pretty, but location of being in a truck stop with no landscaping gave it a poor eye appeal and quality look. The only good thing I can say and the only reason we didn’t walk right out and go somewhere else was because the linens actually smelled like they had been washed in bleach and the staff was friendly. We will never stay here again or recommend it.

I was told several times that this La Quinta is under new management is if that is an excuse. Transport from the airport was a borrowed employee car with intense cigarette stink, driven by an off duty hotel maid. The room was clean, but the heater was probably broken. I sei it to 70, it heated up to 76 or 77 quickly and continued until I turned it off completely. The room was stuffy, dry and uncomfortable. The digital door opener was balky. My mattress was overdue for replacement. There was no hair dryer and the desk clerk could not provide one until until the house keepers arrived because she didn't know where they were kept. She did ultimately realize that she could borrow one from another room and bring that one. The in house breakfast could not have been any worse. The in room phone was non functioning and no one was available to replace it. Any communication with the front desk involved a trip to the lobby. Having said this, staff was polite and mostly helpful. The water was hot. The room was clean. Don't stay here.

Response from Amy Ferreira, General Manager at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Belgrade - Bozeman Airport
Responded 18 Feb 2021
Dear 1234mail, With our taxi company having issues it was very kind of our housekeeper to drive you in her own car and on her own time to the airport. Next time there is an issue with a heater let a manager know and it will be addressed with maintenance. It sounds like you were ultimately not happy and anything we did to try and help you resulted in you criticizing every little fault. We cannot control how big our door locks are but they worked and you were safe. We hope you had safe travels back home.

if u are reaching BZN at night, consider the following: no uber, no lyft. and this place has no airport shuttel operational. better put your money on other hotels in the area with airport shuttles or cough up extra day charges for rental car.

This place is atrocious. Do not book a room here for more than $100. We were charged $350 for a double standard room. Firstly, this hotel is surrounded by a truck stop and is hard identify from the road. The carpet had holes, the bedspread was stained, the TV remote didn't work, the toilet seat was disintegrating, the shower fixtures where extremely rusted, and our sink didn't drain. There were holes in the walls, some of which had been roughly spackled but not painted. The "fitness center" was 1 broken tread mill and an old elliptical machine covered in filth, like it has been left outside. The water fountain had a disgusting stain with tape over it with a sign "Do not use". The convenience food area was literally empty. When I saw online that they were charging other guests $92, I talked to the front desk and asked them to refund me the difference, citing the issues above. They refused. The "night manager" (dressed in flip flops, tank top and shorts) then asked to see the issues for himself, which I showed him. He then offered to "upgrade" my room, but the new room was just as bad with similarly rusted fixtures and a sink that didn't drain. We checked out and ended up at another hotel that was sparkling clean, had a beautiful fitness center, and was $40 less.

Upon check out I noticed a black face mask left on the floor obviously from a previous guest.in times of covid and hotels getting back to business this is totally UNACCEPTABLE. I don't give a rats behind if your short staffed or not this room was NOT properly disinfected. Now I'm wondering what else wasn't properly cleaned. The area this hotel is in SUCKS nothing near by. Don't waste your money here
