Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am still awaiting a refund which should have been completed when I checked out on the 3rd November. All attempts to contact general manager have failed. He is clearly call screening. Accommodation basic but suited my needs. In hindsight, after reading the reviews of other guests and my own experience which mirrors these, I would not have stayed here. Staff non-existent 'general manager' appeared to be the only member of staff who despite me assisting with general tasks has clearly omitted to complete check-out and refund. Very unprofessionally run which reflects badly on the brand.

I booked our room in April through an App & Hotels.com - same month I had to cancel our reservations due to unforeseen circumstances . Our trip wasn’t until September. I was charged for the stay even though I forwarded proof of the reservation and the cancellation. I was told that the cancellation of the order could’ve been a cancellation of hotdogs or Kohl’s, but it clearly stated hotels.com I thought the trip was canceled to the best of my knowledge and now I have to fight to get a refund- how rude and ridiculous! When we do travel we won’t stay there!

Granted, the pickings were mighty slim as we pulled into town after a long day of traveling, but $190 a night for what is essentially a hostel? Nah. *Sketchy check in process. I had to call the front desk, FROM THE FRONT DESK, to find someone to check us in. And when the guy arrived, it was from outside with two police officers. * No keys. You have to download a stupid app to get in and out of your room and to even get into the property. Here we were standing on a street corner fumbling with our phones and waiting for an app to load? Not safe and not cool. * Shared bathrooms with unlabeled liquid soap dispensers. Is it shampoo? Is it body wash? Is it conditioner? Who knows? * App based TV's with no local channels. Want to watch the local news? Nope, but here's "Three's Company" on Crackle for your viewing pleasure. * Finally, and this is super picky but I'm on a roll, but the pillows are so firm and large that my head felt like it was at a 90 degree angle to my body all night. Nope

First I will say what I liked, the hotel when you walked in, very clean looking...everything was white and lots of light, so looked very clean. The room had the necessary things in it, with a clean minimalist look. Modern technology, and the hotel building itself felt fairly safe. I did appreciate that they had a microwave, fridge, and small seating area for guests in the back. Now for my issues. While the room was very clean, it did not have an in room bathroom. We paid about $250 plus tax/fees for that room on a weeknight and there was a bathroom/shower across the hall for us to use. And we were expected to clean it and "wipe the water off the floors", take the towels to the laundry room, etc. Not being a snob here, but for that cost, I don't expect to have a bathroom across the hall and to have to mop the bathroom floor. We stayed there because there was literally no other hotel within miles that had a room open due to a disaster...I believe they jacked up the price for it, because there is no reason that should have been a $250 room on a weeknight. Also, they had "quiet hours" of 10pm-6am, which I would have appreciated, if that actually A) happened and B) the walls were not as thin as paper. At 4am, we could hear people walk down the hall talking their normal tone of voice as if they were screaming. At 5am, someone's iphone alarm clock started going off for 15 minutes, and sounded like it was in the room with us. If you want quiet, this is not the place for you. The doors, when they close, also very loud. Parking, although free, was across the street in an open public parking lot. Not sure if this was just for the day we were there or not, but there was no front desk person after 4pm. Could just be a current staffing issue. I would hesitate to recommend this place to anyone, unfortunately.

My fiancé and I were very disappointed with our stay. We booked a queen room that we expected would have an en-suite bathroom. Instead we got a double bed and the bathroom was down the hall. There were multiple long black hairs and pubic hairs in our sheets. They did not respond to our email complaint that we sent them the day after our stay. All in all, very poor.

I had a serious issue with the cleanliness of my room which was caused by the previous guests, and I did not sleep very well because of it. The management apologized and offered me a partial refund, which was appreciated. I do believe that my negative experience staying there was rare, and that it was handled the best it could have been handled at the time... though it's unlikely that I'd stay there again, just for personal reasons.

This was a cute hotel/hostel with much attention to visual appearance but little intention to the shared acoustics of all guests. Came for a staycation and left feeling tired and very happy I didn’t bring my family because my kids would not have slept through all of the door slams that happened until until midnight. I don’t think the neighboring guests meant for their television basketball game watching to be a shared experience but because of the poor sound proofing, we got to experience our viewing choice and theirs as well. The concept of this place is great and I’m hopeful with more investment in sound proofing, this place could be significantly nicer.
