The Westin St. Louis garners acclaim for its spotless accommodations and prime location near Busch Stadium and downtown, with the inviting atmosphere and sophisticated amenities—such as the acclaimed bar and top-notch gym—also earning praise. My family of 4 recently stayed at this hotel. While there were several restrictions from the city, the hotel management didn’t miss a beat. The hotel was extremely clean and I was happy to see the enforcement of the mask requirement. The staff took every precaution to maintain the sanitary environment. Our room even had a seal on the door to ensure us that it was properly cleaned. The city was under some strict regulations, so the club lounge and gym were not open.
The location of this hotel is awesome. Our room had an amazing view overlooking Busch Stadium which was pretty cool. It is a short walk to the Arch and is in a safe neighborhood, so I was able to run outside.
When we got home, we realized that we had left 2 bags on the curb as we were loading up our car. I contacted the Westin General Manager, Ryan, and not only had a Westin staff member turned in our bags, but Ryan actually packed them up and took them to the UPS Store and shipped them to us. THANK YOU!!! We had a delightful stay and if our travels take us back to St. Louis, we will certainly stay at the Westin!!

We got a great rate that included parking and a late checkout. The hotel overlooks Busch Stadium (our room had a view), and it was within walking distance of the Gateway Arch (maybe 12 minutes away on foot). The layout of the 7th floor and our room was a little unconventional, but we had plenty of space and everything in our room seemed clean and well-kept. The restaurant was supposedly operating, but when I went down for breakfast at 9 a.m. I found no staff around. That was the only drawback--otherwise it was a super stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Westin. The location was perfect, not only for baseball goers (literally across the street) but also to the other downtown attractions which are easily walkable. The room was spacious and well appointed with a number of nice niche touches. Such a comfortable sleep, I wanted to bring the mattress home with me. And the staff were stellar, cordial and anxious to solve any problems and to make your stay sublime. I told my hubby, this was my best hotel stay since the pandemic began. So many hotels still do not have full services. This one was a delight.

It was sad to observe how time, neglect, the pandemic, and urban development has diminished what was once among the most prestigious hotels in St. Louis. Prior to our arrival we received emails about their “Commitment to Clean”. You could have fooled me. Our “premium” room included a view of Busch Stadium, but the windows were so dirty that you could barely see that far. Some of the old Westin Heavenly Bed mattresses may have survived, but the current bed linens are threadbare and flimsy. The floors were not clean. An upholstered chair in our room had a dark brown stain whose origins did not inspire scrutiny. Discarded meal trays were left in the hallways overnight. In addition to the lack of cleanliness, loud music from Ballpark Village thumped into our room until almost midnight, accompanied by the shouts of revelers on the platforms of the St. Louis MetroLink station adjacent to the hotel. It must be said that the employees we met at the front desk, in the restaurant, and at the $45 per day valet parking were doing their best under difficult circumstances. I understand the issues most hotels continue to face, but please don’t insult your guests with false claims about cleanliness unless you can back it up.

Dear lightbreadman, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am truly sorry that we did not meet our commitment to provide a clean room during your stay. I have shared your feedback with our Housekeeping leaders and we are revisiting our inspection procedures to ensure we do a better job of inspecting rooms prior to checking in a guest so this problem does not continue to happen. This is not the experience we want for any of our guests and will work hard to ensure we do better moving forward and get back to providing the type of experience you remember from previous stays with us. Sincerely, Charles

Stayed one night on a long drive from Texas to Wisconsin. STL was a good half way point for our drive. Location is obviously awesome during base ball season. With no Cardinal activity and Covid, area is a bit rough. There is a driveway to drop luggage and supplies, self parking is across the street in a surface lot which has a gate. Check in was efficient. Room had been sealed and seemed very clean. To-go food ordering was a nightmare, taking almost an hour after a 15 min estimate. Market pantry had been wiped out and no water or recognition of lifetime elite status. The rate was good due to low demand, but there were a lot of folks roaming the halls/common areas that you wouldn't typically expect at a property like this.

Let me first by saying Tydel and William has by far the best customer service! I was excited about staying here but that quickly changed. Due to Covid I do understand that the rooms aren’t being serviced but if there’s a sealed sticker on the door that says this room has been cleaned that’s what I expect. However that’s not what we got! The linen was stained and our beds looked as if they had been slept in. They did send housekeeping once we left for the day to clean and change linen. We traveled as group and my cousins experienced issues as well. The coffee pot displayed a cleaned sticker. The coffee pot however was not cleaned and had some type of larvae in top of it. So please people check the coffee pots before use. Minus the negative stuff it’s a nice hotel and we did eat breakfast which was good as well. It’s just a disappointment to receive this type of service from such a nice hotel. Busch stadium was right across the street which was very convenient along with a bar in walking distance. But Westin y’all have to do better!

While the staff at this hotel are exceptional, the hotel itself is tired and bare bones. It was clean but not spotless, and a little worn. We stayed in a basic suite, which was really an extended king. The room included a bar of soap: no lotion, qtips, cotton balls, pen, or pad of paper. The shower included dispensers with body wash, shampoo, and cream rinse, typical of lower-end Marriotts. The lounge is absolutely pitiful. The evening offering of appetizers included chips and salsa, chicken nuggets that were mostly breading, and cheese cubes. I told my husband that I didn't even want to eat there in the morning. The offering at this time included eggs, bacon, and potatoes. I never saw anyone or any workers in the lounge. We will stay somewhere else next time. We are sad that this property was so disappointing, especially since we stayed there several years ago and it was wonderful.

This hotel has extremely poor customer service to the point where we attempted to speak to the general manager several times to no avail. The front desk staff was rude when we checked in, our request for a quiet room location was ignored, and we couldn’t even get clean towels delivered to our room when I had fallen and needed to clean my wound. What a terrible way to treat a disabled Veteran ! As a Platinum Marriott customer, I was shocked that this hotel was even part of Marriott. Don’t stay here !

Great for proximity to a Cardinals game. Noisy outside during the evening games-especially from the second floor. 'Drumming' or music lasted well into the evening. Not totally shocking based on the location, but light sleepers be warned! Not sure housekeeping really finished the room I was given. No bath amenities at all, no water in the room near a sign noting there should be water there, and the hair dryer was unraveled. The room was otherwise very clean and comfortable. Standard business feeling Westin. Breakfast service was incredibly slow and disorganized in the morning. WONDERFUL front desk team. Everyone I interacted with was fantastic and so friendly.

Takeaways: get a high floor and eat breakfast elsewhere!

Went on this with my girlfriends and we had rooms at the Westin hotel the rooms were okay could have been more stylish for the price. when we checked in Phil at the desk was absolutely just the rudest person you could ever meet. He was very short. did not speak much. rushed the check in as if he was tired. Never smiled or said thank you. My girlfriends and I wondered what we had did wrong what a way to start our trip. After getting up to our room we called down for room service never got an answer, so we called the front desk and got Phil again we let Phil know we would like to place in order he said he is not the restaurant, and he would. transfer us the call hung up that time. we were so frustrated. after a long 4-hour flight we just wanted to grab food and clean up. It's ridiculous. how rude this guy was one of my friends called the 2nd day to have room cleaned. and the same guy answered the phone he told us housekeeping we should have called earlier please housekeeping won't clean our room at 4pm so we asked if we could just get clean towels, he said yea if you come to the front desk and get them. I am a Platinum Elite member with bonvoy so I asked about club lounge. access and he said use your card never explaining where the club lounge was. I had to ask someone who worked at the bar could they tell me. how to get to the lounge. this was this worse experience ever when it comes to a Marriott Property.
