Detailed Reviews
I stumbled upon Vicki's bed and breakfast while arranging a family reunion in St. Louis. What a fortunate discovery! Vicki is the consummate hostess, always concerned to make sure we had everything we needed - including restaurant recommendations - but never intrusive or overly obvious.
The guest rooms are quaint and cozy, with lots of personal touches. There's a great collection of books in the library, which is a lovely, light-filled space for reading, and a beautifully updated bathroom with luxurious amenities, including a jacuzzi tub. The gorgeous backyard has a pool for lounging - we were a bit too early in the season to try it out, but I imagine it would be delightful in the muggy St. Louis summer.
The house is beautifully appointed, and just steps away from blocks and blocks of fabulous shops and restaurants in the Central West End, where there's something for every taste: pizza, brew pubs, upscale restaurants, ice cream, coffee, delis, plus antiques, trendy boutiques and great people watching.
I grew up in St. Louis but rarely get back. With Vicki's delightful B&B as a base, I may be returning more often!

We were there on an icy night and I know it is hard to regulate heat in an old house but we literally put our coats on top on the bed blankets because we were freezing. Breakfast the next morning was lovely in the upstairs breakfast room.

Nice and quiet. Beautiful 100 plus year old house. I was late checking in because of a delayed flight. I sent a text and had a timely response, saying it was no problem. I saw a couple of people here and there but I felt like I was coming and going in a house I lived alone in.(In a good way). There is no check in desk you just go to your room. The room was clean and comfortable. In the morning there was a breakfast table set up. Being it was a Victorian setting it was like a friendly ghost was looking after me. I enjoyed my stay, but felt weird to leave and not have anyone around to say "Thank you to" But its my 1st B&B.I would stay again.

Charming 1870s vintage home. Our host, Henrietta was very nice. Changed our room too accommodate our needs. Great breakfast including hash browns that must have been cooked on a waffle iron. Unique and tasty. Would definitely return.
