The Last Hotel STL captivates many guests with its early 1900's charm and decor, which extends to its quiet and aesthetically pleasing rooms. However, some visitors have expressed concerns regarding amenities, water pressure, and the lack of balconies due to small windows.
While the hotel's cleanliness garners praise for tidiness and quality bedding, others have faced issues with bed-making. Although the hotel's proximity to attractions is popular, guests are divided on its value, citing additional costs and variable service quality, with staff attitudes ranging from friendly to unresponsive.

Detailed Reviews
This is a beautiful hotel. The old factory architecture gives the rooms and halls a very unique look and feel, with high ceilings, brick walls, and real tin ceilings. That said, the amenities, such as the main lobby restaurant/bar, the rooftop pool/lounge, and the fitness room, are all very modern and clean. The rooftop lounge gives magnificent views of the city and the main lobby bar serves a killer cocktail. The downtown location lets you really see the city's character and experience some of its flair. Finally, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I stayed here in the late summer of 2019 and can't recommend it enough!

We had an amazing time. Everything was very clean, great staff, especially the manager, who went out of his way to help us feel safe with unruly customers at the bar. Only downside was the walls are a little thin, and finding the rooms are a bit confusing.

I chose the last hotel with the intention of having a staycation where we didn’t leave the hotel. Honestly, the hotel had everything we needed. We even hired a professional photographer to take some couple’s photos of us because the room we stayed in was stunning. Only thing to note is they do not have their own parking and that most of the lots are $25 per 24 hour period

What a beautifully refurbished old Art Deco building. The lobby is terrific with bar cafe and waiting areas beautifully appointed. The staff is welcoming and amazing. Rooms are comfortable and we've never seen a mini bar like this anywhere. The mini bar menu did bring our attention to the fact that the bathroom toiletries are for sale at $20 each. This is NOT noted at check in or on line and if you've forgotten to bring your own shampoo, you're kind of stuck on the spot. We stayed 3 nights. First day the room wasn't made up, so it was kind of a bummer to come back afteR working all day and having to chase down housekeeping at 6 pm. The second day, housekeeping arrived at 4 and asked us if we put our do not disturb out. We hadn't either day, so we assume this is some staffing issue on the 3rd floor that affected us two days in a row. The responding housekeeping staff both days were great, sociable and gave us tips on what to see in St Louis. We will definitely be back. As I'm writing this and about to close, would you all believe that today on check out day, housekeeping arrived bright and early either to do our room or to bother us because they got in trouble the previous two days. That was just rude - dinging one star for being spiteful on our last day. Hope they fix housekeeping issues before we return.
Update: housekeeping has been to our room 4 times now, every 15 minutes and we're not even close to check out time. I was giving this place 5 stars to be nice, but after the rude, spiteful and ridiculous housekeeping staff who deliberately and purposely interrupted showers, dressing, and our overall well-being in our last day as payback for politely complaining that we had no service for 2 days until we asked for it upon returning in the evenings twice, we will be staying elsewhere on our future visits to our clients here in STL

Although the property is new and rooms overall nice. The service is either poor or nonexistent. I tried calling the hotel 3x b4 arrival to check if my room would be ready early. No Answer. Had to call Hyatt Courtesy Card line to get in touch w hotel. They have NO restaurant, nothing, available for breakfast which can’t meet Hyatt full service hotel standards and certainly not the free breakfast offered to Courtesy Card members at all hotels. But the restaurant opens for dinner .... What kind of full service hotel serves NO breakfast but is open for dinner? No valet available about 1/2 the time when pulling up to hotel and the area is unsafe.
No housekeeping service, none, even with COVID protocols changing and supposed to be option for elite Hyatt members. Asked for towels, sheets, etc to be delivered to room this morning. Nothing in room upon return this evening. Then took three trips for all items to be delivered. My wife and daughter went up to rooftop pool to check it out where vulgar language music was playing loudly.
Then the straw that broke the camel’s back - a young couple just checked into hotel and is given our room with keys and opens our guest room door. #hyatt @hyatt needs to inspect this hotel ASAP as they are not coming close to basic expectations.

We had my daughter's bachelorette staycation here. The hotel and rooftop pool are very nice ad the presidential suite was perfect for our group of 15. We had a lot of fun, but the location is in an increasingly dangerous part of the city so we were not comfortable walking around the area. We rented a shuttle bus at significant cost for our group to go to and from the hotel for dinner, etc. because getting Ubers is tough and we wanted to make sure our whole group came and went safely together. It is too bad because the facility itself is very nice.

+1
Spent seven days at this hotel. It is well decorated as it is converted from an old shoe factory so they have tastefully left some of the old factory bits and pieces in the rooms. Lovely size bed king-size there was a fridge in the room and a coffee maker. The bathroom shower was a very good size with white linen. The bed was comfortable. The downside of the room was that the air-conditioning was extremely noisy, and the housekeeping was disappointing. For the whole time we were there we didn’t get sheets changed, it wasn’t done regularly for housekeeping I had to ask for the room to be vacuumed on the Thursday morning after being there since Sunday. The bed was only made twice and it seemed that the days the bed was done the bathroom wasn’t and then when the bathroom was replenished bedroom didn’t get done and I couldn’t work that out. We had to keep asking for coffee cups as they weren’t replaced by housekeeping so that was disappointing. The breakfast was good although I couldn’t charge it to a room as you had to pay in the restaurant as it was operated by somebody else not the hotel. I would say it was a boutique hotel rather than a chain. It was clean and tidy well decorated I thought the entrance was a bitMessy when the wind blowing the leaves it wasn’t sweat regularly so it could look a bit tatty. I would say overall it was okay I understand the price for a night stay was on the higher side. Would I return probably not by choice.. another strange thing there wasn’t room service, or a do not disturb privacy sign for the door.

I was excited to stay at the Last Hotel as a more boutique option compared to the other major group hotels in St Louis. However, I was very disappointed with their services. I arrived on Thursday to find that the rooftop bar was closed during the week, even though a sign clearly stated they were open to 8pm right outside of the door (the next day they just turned this down). The rooftop bar could not accept room charges when they finally did open saturday, inconvenient.
After we left the room, we realized belongings were left behind. We contacted guest services that very evening and were informed the room had not yet been cleaned and they would locate the items. After repeated follow up calls every couple days, no one wants to take ownership of this issue and locate our items. Even though they stated they had found them.
Save your money and stay at a hotel with a proper guest services team and amenities that actually stay open as advertised. Very disappointed.

The Last Hotel is among the most beautiful places to stay in St Louis. From key access elevators and quiet hotel rooms, safety and cleanliness are the top priorities. Rooms were spotless and the décor makes you feel as if you took a trip in time. The rooftop bar is legendary! I cannot wait to stay again with my girlfriends for some sunshine poolside!

I'm a sucker for boutique hotels and this one was so unique and funky cute! We stayed in an Executive Suite for our wedding anniversary. The room was very spacious. We loved the artsy art-deco vibe! Tall ceilings with exposed brick walls and original ceilings. Plush sofa and pillows, huge floor to ceiling windows (next time I would ask for a room with a better view). The coup de grace for us was the HUGE tiled shower. It was luxurious and sexy!
If you stay you MUST check out the roof top. The view is breathtaking and the swimming pool was AH-MAZING at night! The night we visited the rooftop bar it was industry night and they had a dj and everyone was enjoying themselves. So many laughs and great drinks!
There were just a couple of things that made my review 4 stars instead of 5. The door on the shower did not close properly. It was just needing adjusted, it didn't cause any problems with water leaking thankfully.
The 2nd and biggest issue for me was the bed. The bed was not as comfortable as I was expecting. The other odd thing, maybe I'm not as well traveled as others, but there was no fitted sheet. It was uncomfortable and weird for me. The corner kept sliding off and I had to get up and try to move it several times during the night because I was sleeping on the bare mattress (and if I was having that problem other people had to have had the same problem ewwwww). I mentioned it at check out and the clerk informed me that it was suppose to be that way. That a lot of hotels were moving towards this for cost savings. It just seems gross and cheap to me.
The other issue is parking! It was $30 for valet parking. It seemed a bit extreme. There are parking lots right across the street that were $20.
We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again (I'll bring my own fitted sheet next time)!

Yes, Children are allowed to use the pool till 7 pm. After that, we feel that given it's also a Bar/Lounge environment we need to think about the safety of our guests and make sure they are not put in an environment where too much alcohol and children can be a dangerous mix. - Guest Services
The Deluxe King is a larger room. All Rooms have the same amenities, but some Guests are looking for a little extra space this is the room for you. - Guest Services
The Last Hotel STl cancellation policy is 24hrs notice for a full refund, so that is not true, we have a very generous and flexible cancellation policy. - Guest Services
Our accessible rooms have bathtubs.
We have connectors but they are not accessible for guest use. They were the old fire escape for both buildings.
