Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, while celebrated for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions, suffers from mixed reviews regarding its amenities and services. Guests have called out issues such as overpriced parking and inconsistent room service, alongside concerns about room cleanliness and upkeep. Although the atmosphere exudes a certain grandeur, the presence of dated elements and construction can detract from the experience. Additionally, noise levels often disrupt guest comfort, and service quality appears to vary, leaving some travelers with a less than satisfactory impression.

Service was outstanding! We will definitely return. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Arch for 4 nights. The Arch is viewable from the hotel. Food, bar, staff were all excellent. Brewery and breakfast cafes wonderful.

Stayed here for a night's getaway for my wife and I as the city was closing down for coronavirus so (understandably) food and beverage options were all closed. Front desk was understaffed so check-in took a while. The room was fine, nothing special, and limited power options, esp at the desk. Also had challenges with the tv chromecast, which seemed to time out every 5-10 minutes so constantly had to re-select and restart whatever we were watching.

However, the real issue here was housekeeping. I had a 2pm checkout due to my elite status. The room did not have a "do not disturb" sign anywhere to hang on the door, but housekeeping started banging on my door at 7:30am. I told her that we had an extended checkout and wouldn't be ready before then. At 10:30, another housekeeper banged on the door and insisted we had to be out of the room by 11am, which was checkout time. When I told her I was an elite member and had a 2pn checkout, she was hostile and rude and told me I needed to call the front desk and pay for the additional time. I called the front desk to complain, they apologized and said they would make sure I wasn't disturbed further. 5 minutes later, another housekeeper bangs on the door and when I didn't open the door in 15 seconds, just opened it himself and walked in and asked when we were leaving. I called back down to the front desk, and the clerk offered to have the housekeeping manager call me to apologize. I told her I didn't want anyone calling, I just wanted not to be disturbed for the rest of my stay. 2 minutes after hanging up with her, I got a call from said housekeeping manager apologizing.

Keep in mind, this was a week when people were canceling hotel reservations left and right, so there must have been 100 vacant rooms in the hotel at this point, and you would have thought this was the only available room given the urgency that housekeeping felt to clean this particular room right at this point in time.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and the stay was enjoyable. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and provided great customer service. The hotel is conveniently located near the brewery, baseball field, and the Arch. The hotel has restaurants and a Starbucks. Parking is $30 per day if you self-park. The room is quiet and stocked with great amenities such as a safe, coffee maker, fridge, soap, and satellite channels. During the pandemic, there isn’t daily room cleaning, but this was communicated at check-in and it’s understandable given the current pandemic. I would recommend this hotel! Thanks for a great stay!

We booked a two night stay. We did on line check in for the "pay and park package" and we paid another $25 a night for an "upgrade". We arrive at hotel and are told to park the car we had to go check in at the front desk (inconvenient) sorry!. The hallways smelt like marijuana. I prefer not to stay at smoke filled hotels. The room: knobs broken, remote not working, stains on flooors/sheets and for some reason the clean bathroom had a dank FEET smell. Not bleach or flower scent. Rotten feet. I've lived in a city on the 8th floor. I get noise, but these windows sounded like they were open all night long. Worst first night ever. We decided to just cut our losses and leave the next morning. We were all exhausted from no sleep. We got dressed saw the sights and had a change of mind. Asked the front desk to change our room. They were very accommodating and we received a full on Arch view on a higher floor. We felt relived it was an amazing room. Same feet smell. Same smoke in hallways. Same stains on sheets. Same car noises in my room. I'm amazed this is a Hyatt. It is the best location across from the Arch and parks. Beautiful. Due to covid it was a challenge getting food, any food unless you paid $50 and over. Sometimes you don't want to eat $50 dollars worth of food Personally I value my sleep and cleanliness so I'd have to say good luck finding a room that's quiet and clean. If ever I go back it won't be to this hotel.

This hotel needs to follow through with multiple updates, especially from a service standpoint. Our room would not stay warm on a very cold January evenings. The windows need to be resealed. The beds need more cover than a thin sheet and almost non-existent comforter. Housekeeping needs to be a little more helpful, and the bar service should be present. The breakfast price does not match up with the quality.

Amazing Arch view room. However room was not cleaned 3 of the 8 days. 1st one was our fault for leaving Privacy card on door, but not the other 2. Heater kept malfunctioning... Had it serviced 3 times but each time only lasted a day or less. Was freezing when heater not working. Room service was pricey and the grilled cheese was cold and inedible (blue cheese??). This was taken off our bill at checkout.

We arrived to the hotel late in the evening (8:30pm) and there was a standstill line for parking. After 30 minutes in the parking line, I called the front desk from my cell phone only to find out that the parking would cost us $40.00 per night. We ended up bypassing the parking ramp line and found some on street parking while we assessed the situation. The desk attendant told us that the rules for on-street parking in downtown St. Louis were weird and inconsistent and that there was a ramp about 1 block away that the valet parking attendants used anyway for $20 a night. We quickly scooted our kids up to the room, while my husband left to park the car.
The view (we booked an arch view room) was spectacular at night, but the room was dirty. The floor didn't appear to have been vacuumed, as there was a pile of crumbs that I quickly scooped up before putting the kids to bed.
In the morning I took a shower and on the shower wall was a crusted booger splatter. How did I know it was a booger splatter and not dried shampoo? It was a dried booger with a scab & blood streak through the dried mucus. It was disgusting.
We were lucky enough to inquire before hand if there was a light breakfast included for the $230+ per night (there was not) so we packed the kids breakfast entrees to eat in the morning. We packed up and left the room by 8:30am to walk over to The Arch. When we exited the hotel there were drink straws, orange slices and puke on the sidewalk outside the front doors between the front doors and the parking ramp entrance. For the price and prestige that was advertised by this hotel, I had much higher expectations for the property. It was a total letdown.

We did not feel cared for while we were there. The evening front desk staff seemed as if they couldn't be bothered with basic customer service needs. The only good thing about our visit was the view from the overpriced room and the valet guys who were prompt and polite. The room we stayed in had an older odor, the couch had a piece of food crumb on it, the bathroom floor was sticky, there was hair in the shower when we arrived, there was some kind of splatter on the door jam and when my husband went to lift the toilet seat there were all kinds of brown splatter under the seat which we have photos of. We told someone at the front desk the next morning who said she would document it and send it to the housekeeping supervisor as well as credit our valet parking and we still haven't seen a credit for that. It's a very good thing that we travel with cleaning supplies. This is certainly not what you expect from a hyatt or 4 star hotel and it certainly isn't want you expect when you pay for one of the more expensive rooms. We were going to stay at another hyatt property once we get to Dallas but have cancelled our reservations and instead booked somewhere else. We were extremely disappointed with this location. This was probably among the worst experiences we have had traveling. We will not book at a hyatt property again.

I try to leave the covid protocols out of my reviews because I feel the hotels hands are tied as most are just following locals rules set by the county/state. We have stayed here several times, every experience has been well above expectations. They atleast have a couple breakfast options (the breakfast precovid was awesome and worth the price! ) post covid breakfast options were NOT over priced and very tasty. This hotel is about a 20 minute walk to anything you want to do, parking sells out fast but the front desk turned us onto another option a block away that's only $20 per day. The staff at this hotel seems to care more than most hotels we have stayed at downtown, rooms have always been really clean to. Rooms must be very well insulated because we have never heard anyone else.

Call the hotel in advance for your request, their staff is very helpful with your needs. Originally we had a reg dbl room n upon arrival I had asked to upgrade to a room w the arch view but needed a room w two beds n the front desk was very helpful and got us a partial arch view room w two beds (we have 3 adults) and the size of the room is like a junior suite size with a reg bathroom + a dressing area w another bathroom sink n counter, it made our stay so much more comfortable and the rate difference wasn’t that much either.

No, no public areas within the hotel. If you step outside and walk a few steps to your left, you should be able to see it. Or just cross the Edy quiet street and you’ll be in the park where the arch is located.
