Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Hilton St. Louis Airport hotel is often chosen for its convenient park and fly options, although guests have raised issues with its location due to ongoing construction and a general sense of roughness around the area. Travelers frequently note the rooms as being outdated and not well-kept, with reports of stale odors and broken amenities.
While the shuttle drivers receive compliments for their courteousness, the front desk service is often described as slow and inattentive. The hotel's atmosphere and cleanliness are criticized, particularly with moldy shower curtains and poorly maintained rooms. Despite some positive comments about the shuttle service and parking, many guests feel that the hotel does not provide good value, especially with the added frustration of unexpected parking fees and inconsistent amenities.

It is always a pleasure to stay at this Hilton. Comfortable beds, pillows, clean, awesome water pressure in the shower. Shuttle airport service is awesome. Always greeted with a smile. My top choice whenever I have to fly out of STL!

I have to say from a people and cleanliness is good but quite frankly the management needs to look at how to service clients food under these times. Of course no sit down dining, pick up only. But what you pick up should be somewhat appealing or dont offer it.
Chicken dinner and separate salad. Looked like it was thrown into the cardboard boxes with a shovel, just dumped in. Is this what guests are now subject to, dont worry, just blame it on Covid. Come on lets look at a little better in the offerings. Remember once these current times are past guests will be choosing properties that have been supportive.

Checked in for an overnight stay before an early flight. Long-term parking was at a good price, shuttles run every 15 min, and the rooms were nice, nothing fancy but a good room with nice beds. Would recommend, especially for quick and easy access to the airport!

I stayed there Sept. 19th for one night. The lobby carpets leading to rooms was worn and dirty. I asked a question concerning room location and got a curt answer with a finger pointing over there. Room was clean but and comfortable. However there were no instructions anywhere. Basic TV cable but no guide available so had to go to each channel to see what was on. There was offer of room service but it didn't exist. There were no menus in the room and was told to go to the bar to look at menu. I went to bar and saw a menu. it was one page with 3 hot dinner type meals and 2-4 sandwiches including burgers. I could order and carry to room or eat there. That was it as far as food, morning did have a breakfast buffet for $12.00. All in all very low class and everything was blamed on COVID. By chance I went down to Marriott and much more there. I have stayed at many supposed luxury hotels and for the $200.00 @ night I paid I would have expected more, I felt like I was in a Motel 6 with a quicky mart attached for food. Never again and I won't tell others not to stay there I will just tell my story and let them decide. Totally disappointed but it won't happen again.

First, the good. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic (more on that later).
Rooms really need to be inspected by management because it’s painfully obvious that housekeeping and maintenance couldn’t care less about the job they do (or, rather, the job they don’t do). Yes, the lobby and check-in areas were pleasant, but the room we had was pathetic. Here we go…
The vent in the bathroom was filthy.
There was black mold literally growing out of the handrail in the shower.
The tub faucet was sticking out of the wall, ready to fall off.
The towel rack in the bathroom was about to fall off the wall.
There was dust and dirt on practically everything.
The outlet and USB charging station wasn’t even screwed down into the desk top.
The carpet was torn.
While the bed was comfortable, the bed linen had seen better days.
I had to laugh when I saw the notice on the mirror in the bathroom about how the room had been cleaned and sanitized. Uh, okay.
For some reason we were given an accessible room. No problem….BUT, it was located at the very end of the hall, about as far away from the elevators as possible. For the life of me I can’t figure out why you would make your physically-challenged guests walk or wheelchair any more than is necessary.
When we checked I brought these issues to the attention of the manager on duty. She was very apologetic and she said that if I hadn’t booked through a third party (Priceline) she could have refunded the cost of the room. I told her that I wasn’t expecting a refund because we did have a good night’s sleep, which is worth something. Instead, she comped us breakfast, including our friend who stayed in different room, which would have normally cost $20 per person. We really appreciated the gesture, and the fact that she didn’t make excuses, shift blame or blow us off. She owned the situation. She's the only reason I didn't give this place one star.
Still, and despite the admirable way the manager on duty handled to the situation, Hilton itself should be ashamed. This is a Hilton, not some roadside shack.
Once and done.

This hotel has done everything wrong and the staff are the most apethettic I have ever encountered. Pretty much everything has gone wrong. The key did't work in the parking lot, the room isn't clean, paint is chipping off in the bathroom no room service menu in the room, when I asked for beer selections as was told "Bud, Bud Light and different kinds" When I asked for a partial list I was transfered to a non-working voice mail. Guest Services communicates with you via text--except they don't respond (currently over an hour waiting) calls for a manger aren't returned. The best thing they could do is burn this place to the ground and replace it with a Super 8. You'd get better service

I was able to get an upgrade, which was amazing. Got to the room and it was filthy, tons of dust and trash on the floor. Clearly was not cleaned, the air conditioning wasn’t able to keep up with the heat, finally talked to maint and FD, got a new room after an hour. The front desk agent was able to gift me 10,000 points- which costs them like maybe $10? The New room was beautiful, was able to download a new digital key. Had some drinks at the bar, and went back to my room.
Later,I ordered dinner and on my way back up to my room the elevator got stuck and the door wouldn’t open. Finally was able to hit a bunch or buttons and it finally opened: walked back to the FD told them the issue and they said ok we will have maintenance on it: no Apology! Very bad customer service.... they were probably distracted by the lady who was yelling at them from 10 feet away about how her room was dirty when she checked in. Maint fixes the elevator and I was able to return to my room. This morning (checking out) I ran to the car, and tried to use my digital key to get back into the hotel and it wouldn’t work! So, I had to walk around the entire facility to get to the Front desk only for them to tell me that I had just missed the shuttle! So I had to order an UBER! Again, it was no apology from the front desk: he mainly said well you missed the shuttle, with a “what do you want from me attitude.”
I have never been to a Hilton property where the standards are so low. Mind you...I have also been a manager for Hilton Hotels and Marriott. I would NEVER Ever talk to a guest the way the front desk person this morning spoke to me. I am sorely disappointed in my stay with the Airport Hilton. I won’t ever stay there again.
I will say the night manager on Duty and the Maintenance engineer we’re both very polite and accommodating.

Hotel room was not thoroughly cleaned. Found candy on the floor from precious visitor. Bugs in the light fixtures, mice running through the parking lot. Dust on the lamp, cases, and toilet paper holder. Duvet insert was in between two sheets and it was dirty mangy and had holes. Parking was $15/day, the never cleaned my room during my 18night stay

Room was hot and humid, you have to pay for parking $14/ night even if it’s just overnight parking. Then $20 for breakfast per person for breakfast. The bed was very uncomfortable and felt damp. The pillows would be more fitting for a toddler size person. You could see the water stains from previous leaks l, and light covers missing so you could see all the dead bugs.

My wife and I usually spend around $100-$150 on a hotel room. This time we decided to splurge on a road trip home from Colorado to PA, and booked a room at the Hilton.
Upon checking in we were asked if we wanted to park our car in the parking lot. Of course, where else would we park it? We were told that it was an extra $15 per night for the privilege of doing so. That would’ve been good information upon booking.
We were given our first room on the eighth floor, about a mile from the front desk. Upon entering the room we realized that the current temperature was 79°, and the air conditioner was set at 69. We called the front desk and we’re told that we should walk all the way back and they would give us another room.
Upon entering our second room on the third floor, we noticed significant blood and throw-up stains all over the sofa that had not been cleaned. The curtains had a dark brown stain all over them as well. Cobwebs on the ceiling, and a room that hadn’t been dusted in probably months. I called the front desk and flipped out.
They sent up housekeeping, took photos, and acknowledge that the room was in an unacceptable state. Since it was 11 PM, and we were tired and weary from traveling, and didn’t want to move a third time, we decided to go to bed. We woke up the next morning, skipped breakfast, and hit the road. Fortunately they comped our room For our troubles. We will likely never stay at a Hilton again.
All we ask is for a clean And comfortable room, at a reasonable price. It’s really not that difficult.

it is $15 dollars but there are ways to save a lot on parking by being members of AARP or sign up with an app for STL parking I can't remember the name of it but when you ask at the front desk they can let you know or at least they should.
