Nice hotel but a couple of simple but annoying issues.
Coffee. We stayed at this hotel twice about 5 days apart while coming and going to the airport. Both times we were provided only one coffee and two decaf coffees. We are a couple and wanted coffee in the morning. Twice I had to go find another coffee pod so each of us could have one cup. Also both times the lid didn’t fit the cup provided. It seems like a trivial issue but should be a simple thing to have two cups of coffee and lids that fit the cups. One time could be a simple mistake, but twice is more of an ongoing issue.
Noise. When housekeeping is cleaning the rooms, they extend the safety latch on the doors to keep the door open. I get this, but they allow the door to slam and bounce on the latch as they come and go through the door going about their business. This causes a bang, bang, bang, bang as the door bounces against the latch. Once is OK, but for an hour each morning of bang, bang, bang, bang every time they pass through the door gets old pretty quick. Just put a pad/sock on the latch to dampen the sound.

I really enjoyed my one-night stay here. All the staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent service. The hotel is a mix of old and new. If you don't like decades-old furniture styles in your room, you probably won't enjoy staying here. I found that I really enjoyed the "retro" feel in my room, which added a touch of stateliness to the accomodations, and a nice contrast to the modern (and numerous) updates made throughout the rest of the hotel. All in my room was well-maintained, clean and comfortable. The Concierge Lounge provided a great view of the airport runway, and the food was very good. Breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

We’ve been making frequent work trips to St Louis for about seven years. We had been passing by this hotel, kind of put off by the dark exterior. When we tried it prepandemic we were surprised by how great it looked inside. The best part was an awesome concierge lounge. So we tried it again recently. At checkin I asked if the lounge was open and was told it was. I went up and it was locked but a sign said appetizers would be served at 5:30 so I went back up about six. Still locked so I went to reception and they assured me it was open. I said I had tried it twice. They discussed among themselves whether it was open and had me wait while someone went up to check. It was indeed closed. I expressed my disappointment and when I asked they gave me some water. Many hotels offered vouchers for a drink or breakfast when the lounge is closed. They offered not so much as an item from the market area by reception. I would have asked but I didn’t know that existed . By this time my coworkers had given up and we all went to bed foodless since it seemed too much trouble to leave the hotel with no restaurants near by anyway.
I had no other issues except no washcoth in the bathroom. Others in my group had complaints about the upkeep of their room.
One staff person at checkin was fistbumping everyone with status. As lifetime titanium I didn’t really want a fist bump but would have appreciated a gesture instead of misinformation and gaslighting me about the closed concierge lounge.
No room upgrade. Room was functional but the space between foot of bed and tv was tight. Bathroom small but functional. Pool looked small but inviting.

Nemokota,   We are very sorry to hear you have experienced different service levels during your stay. We always try to provide each guest with excellent service, an unfortunately we were not able to achieve this with you. We have shared your comments with our Front Office Leadership team to investigate and complete additional training. My wife and I flew out of STL with an early morning trip requiring us to arrive the night before and "park and fly" to avoid driving tired, and starting our trip exhausted. This was our first stay at any Renaissance, having previously stayed at two other chains due to loyalty programs. Given that STL has closed the lowest cost parking lot, it aids in making the decision to the favor of an overnight stay even with a later flight. Our room and park was aoubt $45 more than parking in the remote lot, and the vehicle was in a safer feeling area with big parking spaces.
The lobby is nice, services are limited (COVID) as they are everywhere. Food and drink was available until 10 pm but we did not have either service.
The room was elegant, comfortable mattress, plenty of plug ins, and the bathroom worked well for our needs.
We were so impressed, we are going to seek out their loyalty program and likely will use this site primarily.
The biggest plus for this trip was the shuttle. The hotel is about five to seven minutes from the airport, so even if it were to be full, a second run could be made immediately.
The driver was a nice gentleman, who drove safely and was attentive to the road.
Other hotels have canceled their airport shuttle service, so be sure you call to the local number to verify as the national call centers do not have updated information. I wish we had more time to spend at the hotel, oddly. It has more to offer than we had time to experience.
Recommend, especially for park and fly travelers.

Booked 2 adjoining rooms night before flying out the following morning. The good- it was close to the airport and parking was included for up to 8 days. The bad-checked into our room and thought everything was normal, a little chilly temperature wise but we turned the heat on but never really got warm. Used the restroom and happened to glance at shower base/drain area and noticed a bunch of black particles like the drain had backed up and was gross. We called front desk and was told maintenance would be up within 10 minutes. Well over an hour had passed and by that time our 4 month old was already asleep so we refused to have them look at it. It was so bad that we were unable to shower at all and had to wait until we arrived at our rental in Florida the next day before we could take a shower. The room was so cold by the window that the curtain had stuck to the window! The second room which another family we were traveling with stayed in didn’t have much of an issue as our room other than their room smelled like sewage. My wife addressed the issues of our rooms and that we were overcharged by $50 from what I had been told when I called to book the rooms. After a few days they knocked our bill down about $75. I have stayed at some very questionable hotels for work but none of them compare to this place. I had high standards for this hotel and was let down. I will gladly pay 2x as much next time for a better hotel.

We made a reservation through Sears travel, but sadly the reservation was not in the system and of course the office was closed. The front office manager in charge was kind and did get us a room at the promised rate. The hotel went out if it's way to fix a problem they did not make. The room was nice and very clean. The morning manager gave my companion complementary breakfast for his birthday and for the issues the night before (again an issue that was NOT created by them). They have a charging port for Tesla's and other electric cars, love that!!! The pool is to die for!!! It is so warm you don't have that horrible adjustment phase because the water is to cold. We had a view of the air port not that great but my son loved watching the airplanes come in and out. Over all it was a great stay for me, my son and our friend, despite Sears travel screwing up on their end.

Not sure why this hotel has so many negative reviews. We stayed for two nights and had a very pleasant time. Hotel was clean and updated. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We did not eat at the restaurant, but the bar was nice and the drinks were good. The location is easily accessible with several restaurants (some 24hr) within walking distance. My room was spotless and we had a view of the airport, so it was entertaining to watch planes come in. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay here again.

Service focused minimal dusty, stain on the bedding, door knob falling off, no wifi, no cable sevice, needed a deposit and need a fee for parking and the place dark and dusty. Look old. My ice bucket in my room had black small piles look like dead insect particles.

Thank you for taking the time to share about your recent stay. We are disappointed that we did not meet your or our expectations. I have shared your comments regarding housekeeping & maintenance with our team to look into. We do require a nightly deposit via credit card that is returned after your departure, this allows our guests to purchase items in our gift shop, park a vehicle or charge a meal from our restaurant directly to their room. This is standard for all Marriott hotels. We do offer cable TV & internet, for our Marriott Bonvoy members, internet is complimentary and it is free to sign up for Marriott Bonvoy. Thank you again for sharing about your experience.

1st and last stay for us. Desk staff were friendly but the hotel was not what I expected it to be. Had heard it was really nice. The room had a weird smell and the hallways were filled with marijuana smoke. I guess no smoking doesn’t apply to marijuana? Parking fees are high $45 and lot is dark, doesn’t feel safe. No luck with Marriott brands at STL. :(

This hotel is located near the airport which makes it easy for early flight travel. The hotel had a large lobby with nice bar and restaurant area. The food Id good and the bar offers a full arrangement of drinks. My hotel room was comfortable with spacious bathroom that has a modern shower and my bed was really comfortable. Overall good budiness stay.
