Absolutely an amazing place with outstanding service! The views are spectacular, the "taxi" arrangement flawless; the staff beyond friendly and a special thanks to the kitchen as they prepared some incredible dishes around our dietary restrictions.

This was our 3rd visit to BOMC but this time we took advantage of the three day stay in the bay package with an added extra night. It did not disappoint. The position of the resort and the rooms are amazing. We had the most relaxing time. Nothing is too much trouble and all staff go out their way to help make your stay perfect. The team are all fantastic. The food is superb from breakfast to dinner each evening. The best food we’ve ever had. There is so much to do in and around the sounds. All our trips were organised by the team so every detail is taken care of. The resort is a dream for wildlife lovers, we saw dolphins, seals, stingray, hermit crabs, starfish, all kinds of fish, and the bird life is incredible. And all of this without actually leaving the resort. We could go and on but needless to say we will return and would not hesitate to recommend Bay of Many Coves to anyone. Paradise with the most amazing staff. A massive thank you to you all!…

An absolutely delightful experience, Bay of Many Coves combined superb cuisine with friendly and professional staff, in a wonderfully secluded and relaxing environment. We felt welcomed and informed and advised about activities, but not pressured to participate. The accommodation and the service were outstanding, and we would love to return, although it’s a long way to come!

From the early stages of booking this stay through to our three day holiday at this wonderful Lodge we could not help but be impressed with the high standard and calibre of the staff. The Lodge is located in a beautiful pristine part of the world and it is indeed a privilege to be able to stay and enjoy such natural picturesque surroundings. The food at the Lodge was superb and our accommodation was very comfortable and catered to every need. Would love to return one day and highly recommend anyone contemplating a visit to book asap.

Firstly, we messed up our booking and arrived on the wrong night. The hotel was great and managed to accommodate us early. Secondly the location and accommodation is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and the views are stunning. However, there are a few less brilliant things. The service was at times a bit poor. When we arrived early (and I do appreciate they’d done us a favour) the chef wouldn’t even prepare us a plate of cheese and some bread. We were told firmly that they could offer us nothing at all. The staff were often not available during the day. Although it said they were showing people around that didn’t appear to be the case as nobody had arrived (you can see guests arriving by boat/helicopter) and they could be seen sitting and chatting. We ordered food and had to repeatedly ask for it as the orders didn’t get put through. The pool was full of leaves for the duration of our stay. We asked for swimming towels but none came. Sadly the food at dinner was not as good as you might expect. For example the vegetarian main was just a piece of aubergine in batter - disappointing. At breakfast, sausages weren’t available. The trouble with all of this is that none of these things particularly matter but overall it feels a bit like the service lets down the spectacular setting.…

It's a beautiful, secluded and unique location, far from the noise of the city and surrounded by lush forest, exotic birds (including a cormoran colony) and sea life. The rooms are very comfortable and very well appointed, and each have a fantastic view of the bay. The breakfast is varied and fresh with many hot selections. The only slight disappointment is the menu in the main evening dining room, which is quite limited and could be improved. But otherwise, this is paradise in Bay of Many Coves!

From stepping off our water taxi to stepping back on it three days later we were looked after by all the staff very well. Our room was very pleasant with a great view of Malborough Sounds. The trips we did were most enjoyable and varied with knowledgeable guides.

I returned to the Bay of Many Coves after 13 years and it was as wonderful as I remembered. It’s one of those places, if you are lucky enough to stay there, you think, I want to come back some day. The property and views are just stunning. Every room has a spectacular view. The staff is lovely. You can literally do nothing but sit on your balcony for a few days and be happy, but there are also water activities, or a trip to the local Marlborough wineries to experience. The food at the restaurant is excellent, especially for a place that has to have everything brought in by boat. The breakfast is great - lots of choices on the buffet or the menu. We had the added bonus of taking a helicopter from Wellington (pricey, but worth it) - it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The water taxi to Picton itself is a lovely experience. The staff was great - everything was seamless. When we asked for a water taxi to be booked, it was on time as was the car taxi that met us at the port. Literally nothing to complain about! Stay here is you have the opportunity.…

My wife and I stayed here on 2 separate trips. The resort was beautiful, quiet and offered excellent food and services. The restaurant offered a gourmet tasting menu which changed every night. Rianne and her staff were super helpful and offered prompt and attentive services. We really cannot think of anything negative to say on both trips, other than the fact that Steve the Cat was elusive and difficult to find in our recent trip.

BOMC has been on our list for 7 years, and it did not disappoint. We spent 2 nights / 2 full days at the property, and we loved the tranquility and ease. The 2 hikes (lookout / waterfall) were nice and we got in a few swims in the sound and in the pool. Food was great, especially the truffle omelettes for breakfast. Rooms were very well equipped, and views are incredible. The staff was friendly and attentive and made us feel right at home. Five star experience from start to finish! Tips: book the transfer on cougar lines yourself - it's 240 direct instead of 360 via BOMC (return for 2). Make sure you take hiking shoes for the walks...And spray for sandflies if you're prone to get bitten

I'm so happy that after all those years you had a great time at the Bay of Many Coves! There is nothing better to jump in the ocean after a hike. We always have local and seasonal fresh food in our Foredeck and Kumatage restaurant, and we love the truffle omelets as well! Regarding transfers - Did you know if you purchase a round trip, you get discounted then if you book two separate transfers? The price you mentioned is not correct and should be $250 for return for two. We don't like sandflies either and have "that's it' first aid gel without any nasties in our boutique available for a more enjoyable walk :) Thank you for your great feedback.
