Staff very accommodating and friendly. Updated room, clean and welcoming. Breakfast room clean, well stocked. Lobby was clean and coffee available. Great place to stay when visiting the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre and MN Arboretum. We will definitely go back when going to another play.

Great location. Walking distance or short drive to stores, restaurants, etc. Nice staff. Breakfast shut down promptly at 'closing time'; even while some guests were still in line for food - advice: wake up early or you will find yourself shopping for breakfast items at the Aldi's next door. Bear in mind housekeeping occurs every three days; if you are aware if this, you won't be surprised when your bed isn't made, the trash emptied, or towels replenished.

A box spring on a pull out bed, NO mattress? Dumpster outside our window was emptied at 5 a.m. each morning. The vanity had dried toothpaste and hair on the counter as well. The staff was friendly but I found the room to be unacceptable.

Response from Chester Pombo, Other at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Chanhassen, MN
Responded 14 Oct 2022
Thank you for posting a review. We appreciate your kind words about the hotel staff. On the other hand, we are sorry to hear that your stay was less than satisfying due to the condition of the bed and the cleanliness of the vanity at that time. Providing our guests with a comfortable and relaxing experience is of extreme importance to us and we are sorry if we may have missed the mark. Know that your voice has been heard and this will be forwarded to the hotel management for further improvements. We hope for another opportunity to make a more favorable impression in the future.

Our family recently stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Chanhassen, MN, (we had three rooms for two days) and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.
After our daughter and son-in-law settled in for the evening to watch television, they were horrified to find wasps buzzing around the ceiling. This was not only unsettling but it is also a serious safety concern. Despite informing the staff immediately, the response was slow and inadequate. Additionally their sink didn't drain and the shower tub didn't drain. They were told there wasn't anything that could be done about it.
The room itself was poorly maintained, with visible signs of neglect. The cleanliness was subpar, and the amenities were lacking. The presence of wasps made it impossible to relax or feel comfortable and they asked for a different room. They were moved to another---also wasps. They were moved to the third room and that one smelled like a urinal---finally moved to a fourth room that had no visible insects, but was grimy and filthy.
We stayed at Country Inn & Suites all over the country when the Carlson group owned and operated this chain but since Choice Hotel Group has been in chatge, they are terrible. We stayed at their properties in Stillwater, MN as well as Council Bluffs, IA within the last 6 months and I will guarantee you we will never stay at another Choice Hotel property. All of them have been dirty and poorly run. I expected a much higher standard of service and cleanliness from Country Inn & Suites. I was told by a day staff that the manager would compensate me for our trouble but so far just the ueual runaround---someone who isn't in today will call tomorrow.
The morning we left, we walked past a room being cleaned and I saw the housekeeper using a sticky lint roller with a long broom handle, on a mattress and wondered what that was all about. When we got to the elevators there was an unattended cleaners cart and visible to all was a sticky lint roller on a long handle loaded with what looked like small bugs!
If you value your health and safety---don't reserve a room here and if you already have a reservation, cancel it and run from this property as fast as you can. I do not recommend this hotel (or any Choice hotel) to anyone and urge the management to address these issues promptly.

Most of the staff were nice but Radisson needs to be alerting all of the staff of the website language, upgrades, specials offered to online bookers (i.e. early check-in, late check out, discount for 3 or more night stay...) . We had quite the discussion regarding what we booked online vs what the staff knew. Plus, nothing was said online or when reservation was confirmed online about an "incidental fee of $25" that was added to our bill when checking in. We were told that all of the hotels do it. No they don't. It was the 1st time we were charged such an item. Our Premium 1 Bedroom Suite- King Bed , Whirlpool-luxury bath was small for a suite but right okay for 2 people. We had to clean the sitting area sink, & bathroom sink before we used it. They had one packet of caffeinated & one packet of decaf for us to use. I had to clean out the coffeemaker before using it. There were no hand towels, just washcloths & bath towels. However, we had to request a different chair because it was so stained & dirty that it was hard to look at, let alone sit on. The sofa was stained also. Instead of bothering George again to replace it we turned the cushions upside down. George brought us a different TV/tv stand for the sitting area because the color wouldn't adjust so as not to have green people. Getting ready for a funeral the shower door fell off. George came in & fixed it. There were several burn holes & stains on the carpet. The pool & hot tub were clean but could use a new resurfacing cosmetically. Other family & friends complained of similiar & different issues: no hot water, hair dryer broken, breakfast hours short, the shuttle was not available to take our families to the funeral even though it was less than 5 miles away (due to the fact that we flew & didn't have a rental car I had checked with the hotel directly when making reservation, & they said they did have a shuttle available for 5 miles or less)... but the chocolate swirl pound cake was a hit. George was the hero during our stay. He seemed to be running the whole show as far as trouble shooting. He deserves recognition for his hard work, & a big raise. From the looks of the lobby we were expecting a better experience & accommodations.

I reserved a room when I was going to be in the area for work. I was quoted a rate of $148. per night when I made the reservation. When I checked in, I was presented with an invoice for my three nights - all with different rates for each night: $170, $190, $180. The man who checked me in immediately changed the rate to what I was initially quoted. The rate variation was suspicious. When I got to my room, it was stuffy with a stagnant smell. I went to turn the air conditioner down and noticed filthy a/c controls. Then I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and there was hair in the sink. Then at the foot of the bed, on the carpet, was a golf-ball size red spot. Likely not blood, but maybe ink. Still, an unpleasant sight. I immediately requested and received a refund and left the hotel. I couldn't stay there due to the poor condition. This is the second bad experience I've had at a Country Inn & Suites. I will never select that hotel chain again.

We felt the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional to us. Our room was never cleaned after night one and we were never told that we would have no service so our towels were wet and bed unmade when we came back to the room after a long day of wedding activities, so it was very discouraging and frustrating. Hotel is old and needs some modernization and TV selections

My reviews are 95%+ positive. This is one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. We rented a whirlpool suite for one night as we were attending a concert next door. We arrived and had a first floor room. When we walked into the room we were met with a foul odor. There was litter on the floor showing that it had not been vacuumed. We needed to clean up fast to get to our event and when we went into the bathroom the smell was worse. When we opened the lid on the toilet it was full of urine and pubic hairs. Smell was horrible. You can check out the photos. Totally gross. As we were in a hurry I retrieved some cleaning supplies from our car since we had been shopping earlier. I disinfected the toilet and mopped the floor. The photo of the washcloth is what it looked like after I used it to mop the floor. Again, disgusting. There are missing tiles on the whirlpool and since there had been no cleaning or disinfecting we didn’t use it. Overall, the worst hotel experience we’ve had in the past 15 years. And there were ants crawling everywhere. Total bummer. Emailed general manager and didn’t hear back yet.

One of the worst places we’ve stayed in years. Stained furniture and carpeting, unpleasant odor, dated decor, tv not working well. Stayed because Chanhassen Dinner Theatre recommended it when we made reservations for a show at the dinner theatre. Big mistake. Would suggest you look elsewhere in the area.

Don’t know when it was built but a very comfortable hotel. We stayed there while attending a wedding in the area. The service was fantastic. We had a problem with the tv and within five min someone came and fixed it. Also we were new to the area and were offered advice fir good restaurants etc. would highly recommend.
We are about 1.5 miles from Paisley Park. It is just west of us, and very easy to access from our hotel. Plus, you can see the Prince mural on the movie theater wall from our lobby and pool area, and some of the guest rooms!
Let me know if we can assist. Anita Ward, Director of Sales
The Country Inn & Suites is located in the United States so as long as you are a US Citizen then you wouldn't need a Visa to visit Chanhassen, MN. We look forward to having you stay with us!
Houlihan's is across Hwy 5 which is a major highway and I won't recommend walking to it especially in the winter when the roads are slippery and it gets dark early. There are many wonderful dining options in the downtown Chanhassen area within walking distance from the hotel including Axels (Steaks & Pasta), Na's Thai Restaurant, Chuckwagon Charlies BBQ, Chipotle, Minnesota Grill, Applebees along with several fast food places. I hope that helps otherwise feel free to call our front desk if you have additional questions about your upcoming stay! We look forward to having you stay!
