Breezy Point Resort earns rave reviews for its spacious, well-appointed rooms, though noise and maintenance have been noted as occasional drawbacks. Nestled in a prime location with scenic views, the hotel provides guests with easy access to attractions and efficient transportation. While most commend the friendly staff, service inconsistencies have been mentioned. The variety of amenities, including the well-maintained pools and recreational activities, is a highlight for many travelers. Despite some concerns over pricing, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel are widely praised.

This resort has been here more than 100 years and in its heyday was THE place to go for the glitterati. But that was a long time ago and now its just a really large full service resort that maybe needs some refreshing in places but overall is a great value and offers plenty to do. Because of the very wide variety of offerings, it is a sure recommendation for a lakeside resort, getaway spot. There is a huge variety of room types from simple hotel like rooms with single beds to suites in the lodge to self-service cabins to timeshare condos and lots in between. It has a decent marina and small useable beach. The lake is plenty big enough for fast water sports and lots of nooks and crannies for decent fishing. There are four nearby golf courses, including one excellent one. And, you are less than 30 minutes drive from good shopping and excellent dining. We stayed in the large hotel like complex just west of the main lodge. The rooms are northwoods like and are a little dated but still workable and worth the price. There are small pools in each of the biggest buildings and a small arcade. None are fancy but its all workable. There are three dining locations that are all ok....not super....but they are acceptable.
But perhaps the best thing is the attention to guest satisfaction and detail. We knew we'd be bringing an extra inflatable air mattress and asked ahead of time for extra bedding. When we opened our room, our exact request was honored. The staff is super, super helpful and very responsive. We asked for things twice and both times we were almost immediately responded to with more towels and even a replacement toothbrush. Because of COVID, housekeeping is understandabley light but if we ever needed something they took care of it. I responded to an email survey that I thought would just an afterthought to management but I got an email back within an hour thanking us for our stay and responding to our very minor concerns raised in the survey. They sincerely wanted and thanked us for our business. I know its hard to travel in these trying times, but this is a resort where they really value your business and work hard to earn your respect and desire to return. We stayed once here a few years ago in a time share that's part of the resort but about a half mile from the main campus. I thought it was okay then but after this stay, I'm very happy with how we were treated and the amount of amenities available to do in the area. This is not a bargain basement resort and its not a top of the line plush accommodation but it is an excellent choice for somebody that wants to do a little bit of everything. Highly recommended!

Thanks Mark for the very nice review and 5 star rating for Breezy Point Resort. So happy that our staff made your stay that much more enjoyable. We don't try to compete with the Marriott's and Wyndam's and that is why so many of our guests keep coming back. They love what we offer even if it is not the biggest or newest. We are so lucky to be on Pelican Lake, you can enjoy it for some great fishing, relaxing or swimming or using some of our water toys. We sincerely appreciate your business and hope you come back for another visit soon. We offer some great package deals year round.

With all of the changes occurring to everything skate camp this year was no exception. The arena staff and camp staff worked diligently to come up with a wonderful experience and event for the skaters. They worked with the resort for accommodations which allowed us to enjoy the experience. We chose a double queen room, which was in the hotel area that overlooked the boat launch. The room had laminate flooring, which made it feel cooler and easier to keep clean. We didn't use the Angel app but knowing that it was available and led to contactless delivery of anything that we might need was nice. The Dockside restaurant was fun and the food was good (Jack Daniel's burger being a favorite). The coffee shop had great options and the staff was very helpful. Overall, a fantastic experience in an otherwise trying time.

Thanks for the nice review and 5 star rating. Yes, it is a very trying time for the resort as with everyone else. We have so many protocols to follow to remain open. We are glad that the camp was a great experience for your child and we hope they come to many more of our camps in the future. Happy that you enjoyed the great food at Dockside and our Coffee House. We sincerely appreciate your business!

We stay in the 3 bedroom Dakota House. Love love love the screen porch. We crafted out there all weekend. My only negative this weekend was Dockside restaurant had an hour wait for lunch Sunday afternoon. Everyone sat outside and were spaced apart with staff wearing masks and disinfect everything. I saw that many times throughout the weekend! The grounds are clean and well maintained. Security lit the bonfire by the Marina beach for us. We brought our speaker and sat there all nite. People joined us because Music brings people together.
We met a lot of people. This is a fun resort.
Lots to do! Golf, spa, indoor pool, more golf, the Brainerd raceway is near, Elvis live show is usually here and they usually have live music in the bar. Obviously not Kline due to Covid. This resort has a marina to park your boat while you stay and they have dockside food service at the restaurant “Dockside”
My friend left her iwatch in the room and they found it and mailed it to her home. That was a very honest gesture by their staff. The lake is super clear. There are kayaks and other non motor watercraft available for rental.

The Pelican's Cove unit we stayed in had a great view of the lake and wasn't far from the rec center pool and bar/restaurant. It was cozy and semi-updated. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it is always disappointing to get a mandatory housekeeping fee tacked on when booking through RCI.

An easy 2.5 hour drive from the Twin Cities makes it an ideal distance for a quick family trip.

The employees from the resort are very welcoming and friendly. We rented a pontoon from the marina and it was immaculate and very comfortable. We took it out for 2 hours and I wish we would have rented it longer . We ate at 4 of the restaurants, that may be all of them, and the food was good.

We stayed at the Breezy Center Apartments. We had a two bedroom loft apartment. It was very nice. The “deck” was basically a 4-5 foot wide community walkway/deck with 2 chairs for a unit that sleeps 6. The problem is there is only room for one chair comfortably because the other chair has to sit in front of the air conditioning unit blowing HOT air on you.

When we arrived I noticed brown stuff, like dirt on the counter. I thought maybe one of us had inadvertently placed a dirty bag in it. Nope later that evening there was more dirt on the counter, our toothbrushes etc. as I washed my face this crud was falling in my face from the the AC unit above the sink. Perhaps this is why my allergies are out of control? I called and asked them to come clean the AC the next day and replace the thread bare sheets that were on the bed. They came out to replace a missing filter into the AC and cleaned it. The next day I called again to let them know stuff was still spewing from the AC. Oh and they dropped off a bag of sheets for me to change the bed linens. They cleaned the unit again and later that evening more crud. We gave up.

At a an average price if $425 per night with taxes I would have expected them to at least change the sheets. Totally turned me off. Too many other quality resorts in the area to be having brown crud flying out of the AC. I don’t even expect house guests to change their sheets at my home never mind a paying customer.

Too bad. I hoped this was going to be our summer destination.

First off, the staff we interfaced with was great at check in, gift shop and Dockside. The cleanliness and safety concerns we experienced were at The Point (unclear if this is a Breezy Point managed unit or not). For the price we paid we felt it was a great deal for a lake view upper level unit. We were upset to find out the unit directly next to us was booked when it seemed many others on the floor were vacant. In covid times, and knowing the resort wasn’t sold out the days we were there , it felt that this was a safety precaution to be considered. Our beds were great, linens clean and awesome pillows/mattress. Furniture was updated but carpet was old/stained and kitchen tile cracked. Bathrooms were way out of date. Safety concerns included our front door lock didn’t work and we had to use the door latch each night and we found 2 areas (kitchen and bathroom )with signs of mold that are a health hazards, we didn’t notice the mold until checkout day though the musty smell upon checkin should have been a sign. Breezy Point is a great resort but not all units created equal. We will return but will avoid staying at The Point.

Thanks for saying Breezy Point is a great resort because we are. Yes, the unit that you stayed in is not managed by Breezy Point Resort. It is managed by Narveson Inc which is owned by Neil Narveson. We have heard from other guests about the need to update the carpets and the need to update those units, but again Breezy Point Resort cannot do anything about this. The maintenance fees that are paid from the owners to Narveson Management are supposed to be going for these updates but are not being used for them. So feel free to contact that company and share your frustrations. We would love for you to stay with Breezy Point Resorts owned and managed units next time. Please call our Front Desk and ask them which units those are and we know you will be more pleased. We appreciate your business!

For the price, we expected at least an average room, but no. It smelled like a mix of cigarettes & mold, tv did not work, no WiFi, stains on the couch, only sheets on the beds, had a VHS player still & furniture all mismatched & very dated & worn. We called to the desk to request a better room & were moved to a different room which turned out to be right outside the game room/pool area. Again, mismatched furniture in the room, very small, & so noisy it was impossible to sleep. Unsupervised children running & screaming everywhere. Breezy point, if you are going to rent out poolside rooms, invest in soundproofing!!!!! I will never stay here again! For $387, I should at LEAST be able to get some sleep!

Sorry about your unhappy stay with us. When you booked that room it showed where you would be staying. Not sure when you were moved, that you were moved into the same area with you knowing it was busy. Our Front Desk staff is awesome about telling our guests that if something is wrong with your room to immediately call the them and they will send someone out. Without knowing what room you were in, I can't check to see if any work orders were called in. Lots of our guests love that area and request the game/pool area all the time. Sorry you were not happy with your stay. We appreciate your business!

The Eagles Nest by Whitebirch was a excellent stay. They were very accommodating with our desire to be closer to our friends who were staying at The Eagles Nest as well. We were 6 units apart and were able to get us closer. The unit was clean and fit our needs perfectly. The view was beautiful and the fireplace just set a cozy atmosphere. Recommend The Eagles Nest highly. The beds were very comfortable and the whirlpool tub was a luxury.

Our Eagle's Nest and Whitebirch condos are our top of the line units within Breezy Point and I too love them both. So close to everything that the resort has to offer, especially if you take our shuttles to our restaurants or pools. And yet, those units offer home away from home amenities. The fireplace is a must in our units in the winter. Just so relaxing. Happy that we could accommodate you wanting to be close to your friends. We booked an Eagles Nest Cabin over the 4th of July weekend, not knowing quite what to expect, but we were very happy with this choice. The unit was very clean, all appliances were in working order, and it was already nice and cool for our arrival. The queen size bed was very comfortable, we slept really well. Two afternoons were spent at the swimming beach, we also watched the assembly of boats for the boat parade, and a firework on cross lake. Since the pandemic, we have not used many restaurants, just a few, selectively. Had ice cream in the cafe, and listened to a Johnny Cash concert outdoors at the dockside. Spent some time in Pequot Lakes Memorial Garden. We brought our own pillows, some groceries, masks, also disinfectant towels, to be sure, and picnic chairs. All in all, a delightful get away.

I had high hopes for this place during COVID but the place was completely unsanitized and gross. The carpets were discusting; the walls were water damaged, moldy and damp; and the air conditioning made the bed feel wet every night.

On top of that, the hallways were lined with dog bowls to catch the moisture from the air conditioning from each unit. Which on its own would have been fine... but the air conditioning also made the hallways SUPER hot and they smelled of mildew and rot. The carpet in the hallways was also worn away AND/OR moldy from the moisture and mold.

I would NOT recommend staying here even if you come to the breezy point resort for all their other wonderful amenities (the lake, restaurants, golfing, etc). But if I had a timeshare I would save your points for something more worthy. It was dirty. I wouldn;t let my grandmother stay here!

We asked Trip Advisor to take this review off of our Breezy Point Resort Trip Advisor page but they haven't done it yet. This is not a Breezy Point owned and managed lodging unit. It is within the resort but the resort does not manage it or can do anything about its deteriorating condition. Narveson Management and the High Village Board of Directors are responsible for the condition of this building. Please if you choose to stay at the resort in the future, ask which units are managed and owned by Breezy Point and you will be a lot more pleased. Breezy Point Resort does have great amenities and so many things to do for all ages.
