Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Attended the annual Fire & Ice Wine Festival at Chateau Chantal this weekend (we've only missed the first one). Once again, another success! Fun activities during the day with tours of the vineyards, wineries, s'mores, spiked hot chocolate, and family activities, and an outstanding dinner in the evening. Just when you think Chef Chris can't do outdo himself, he proves you wrong! If you can, you should definitely stay in the B&B; it's convenient, you get a free glass/tasting per day, and a wonderful breakfast is also included. It's so nice after the day's activities (including the dinner) to just walk a few steps to your room and collapse! LOL. Already made our reservation for next year!

Another five star experience. Second stay here in the last 3 months. The staff, rooms and accommodations are truly amazing. Bill in the tasting room and Mary at the front desk are incredible. Being able to have the entire inn to use after hours to sit by the fire and drink their amazing wines (shout out to Brian Hosmer, the wine maker) is always relaxing, but when the owner and founder Bob comes down to sit and visit with you the experience goes to a whole new level. If you have the opportunity to visit it with Bob, take it. He has led an amazing life and we are blessed to have had the chance to spend time with him on both our visits.

Had a wonderful time at Chateau Chantal. Didn't like all the wines but were definitely able to find some we really enjoyed (the Pinot Noir red and the Pinot Blanc white were our favorites). The wine paired dinner (not included in the room) was great and so were the breakfasts (included in the room) each day.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get the last room on a Thursday in September. We had no idea when we booked that we were about to stay at one of those special places of a lifetime. The weather was perfect. Paula greeted us at the front desk and we instantly bonded. She told us about the history of Chateau Chantel and I felt privileged to take part in the life, romance and inspiration of witnessing how God truly works in the lives of those who love Him. Everyone that worked there was a delight. The atmosphere, food and WINE were beyond our expectations. You get to experience both the Sunrise and the Sunset. We had a private tour of the operations with the man, Bob Begin, that along with his wife and daughter put his dream and faith into action to create something beautiful and unforgettable. They truly have lived THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED and that has made all of the difference. :)

Beautiful B&B, rooms are decorated with such taste and each has their own personality. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Shout out to Brian, the chef, you knock breakfast out of the park. The grounds are spectacular. Looking forward to visiting again when things are in full bloom. Don’t hesitate, book your visit.

This is the 4th time that we have stayed at their B & B. LOVE IT! The breakfasts are wonderful. Love to sit at the fireplace to visit with other guests, drink wine and read. Beautiful facility and beautiful views of the bays (east and west). Every employee we dealt with was wonderful. Patios are wonderful in the summer. Can't think of anything negative. We'll plan to go back again!

Hello, This is terrible! I'm so extremely sorry to hear your experience was so horrible. Can you please let me know what happened and we'll attend to it immediately. This is certainly not how we ask our staff to treat guests - you are welcome into our home every day and want you to feel that way in return. Thank you for sharing so we may improve. Thank you, Marie-Chantal Dalese

Another successful Ice Wine Festival and dinner by Chateau Chantal. A wonderful dinner by Chef Chris and his team. If possible, the best thing for that night is to spend the night at the B&B so you don't have to roll out of there at 9:30-10:00 PM and worry about driving home after all that fabulous food & wine! We've already made our reservations for next year!

Each year in November CC offers 50% off stays to military and veterans for stays Sunday - Thursday night. My wife and I always try to take advantage of this generous offer when we can. The staff are wonderful and Bob, the owner is a grate host! The rooms are luxurious and the views of the bays and sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. This year was especially wonderful as we actually were there the morning of Veterans Day for breakfast. Other than the food itself being delicious; it always is, Bob lead the singing of the Battle Hymn of the Republic 🇺🇸 To honor our military; how emotional! We cannot express our satisfaction with our stay at Chateau Chantal enough, this is truly a Michigan gem!
