The room was average but very spacious. Bed comfortable. Breakfast adequate but nothing special. Desk staff cordial. The exterior is not very attractive and our room was at the very far end of the facility so we drove there. To get to the restaurant and breakfast area you navigate down a long hallway past the pool and up and downstairs. Really no complaints but nothing to rave about. We would stay there again.
We had a great stay at the Camp Inn. Clean room with a comfortable bed and hot shower. The restaurant has great food with reasonable prices and the staff was very friendly and professional we will definitely stay here again.
If I could give this review 0 stars I would. This place is GOD AWFUL. First things first, we reserved 3 rooms, all with king beds. The receptionist over the phone told us we could check in even if we were early. No problem. We got there around 10:30am and only 1 room was ready. Which wasn’t a problem since we were visiting family all day so we wouldn’t be back until later. The receptionist then tells us only 1 of the rooms was a king and the other 2 rooms were double queens. So right off the bat the rooms were wrong. Ok no problem whatever. We dropped all our stuff off at the room that was ready and headed to visit our family. We get back to the hotel around 7:30 pm and get checked in to the other two rooms. One person goes into the room that’s ready, 2 others go into the second room, but by the time the last 2 of us get to the 3rd room, we opened the door only to realize there’s someone in that room already.... now imagine how scary that is!!! We went to the receptionist to tell her what happened and this is what she says “it’s the house keepers fault because they don’t speak English”... excuse me??? Any person with a brain knows the house keepers aren’t the ones that book the rooms first of all. So after her trying to figure out what to do she finally says “oh well there’s one room left upstairs you can take that one but it’s only a queen” ok... anything is fine as long as I have a freaking bed to sleep on right. So none of the rooms we had were king beds at all.. the night goes by and we check out in the morning. The receptionist from the night before said she would have the manager (Zack or Zach was his name for anyone who would love to talk to him) call us. Took 4 days for the manager to actually call us back. We told him we wanted the room that already had someone in it credited back to us, and 30$ off the other two rooms for not being what we asked for considering we paid 91.80$ for these god awful disgusting rooms with moldy showers. He aggreed to credit us back the one room and 30$ off 1 other room. We told him ok we agreed to that. And he said “so you don’t ever plan on coming back here do you?” And we said “we only come up here twice a year so we’re not sure where we’ll stay next time” and to that he said “well then I take it back, there’s nothing in it for me so I’m not giving you your money back and this conversation is over” and hung up on us. DO NOT STAY HERE EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT
The Camp Inn Lodge looks great online and I was really excited for my stay there, that all changed when I entered the hotel room. The room (and hotel in general) was pretty shabby. The bathroom was disgusting, there were brown splatters all around the toilet and on the walls (I really do not want to think about what those were) there were also pubic hairs on the toilet seat. It was quite obvious that the bathroom had not been cleaned prior to us checking in. Later on when I went to take a shower- the drain was clogged and not going down! It was disgusting being at a hotel and having that happen!
I thought that I could turn the night around by heading over to the swimming pool (which had some great pictures online!) but when I got there the pool was cloudy and looked like it had not been cleaned in months! I took a pass on that.
Overall, I think that Camp Inn Lodge charges too high of prices for the accommodations that they provide. I am not a picky person, and I have never written a review on a hotel before, but this one was gross enough that I feel like I need to...
Hotel is old and in need of a lot of work. Got to room and there was urine in the toilet. Toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Everything felt scuzzy. Free breakfast was limited to toast , dry cereal and hard boiled eggs. Very overpriced.
