This tented accommodation provides an authentic African bush experience. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly, kind and knowledgeable, and the camp is in a prime location near to Etosha National Park. The tented rooms are large, comfortable and have an en suite bathroom. There is a pool for cooling off and an outdoor elevated viewing platform for evening drinks and watching the sun set. The meals are delicious, and the staff were friendly and meticulous in their care of us during our stay there. We loved it, thank you!

Conveniently situated for easy access to Etosha National Park viat he Anderson Gate, Mopane Village Lodge is a basic, budget accommodation establishment with a pool on site ... very much needed in the hot summer months. We appreciated their personal touch of a bottle of champagner to help us celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary!

Please dont make a booking through booking apps. Just give them a call directly for a quote. It is a mistake we did. Very Friendly staff. The chefs can whip up vegan food in a jiffy and is well worth it. Had a great stay. Highly recommend

We were booked into this lodge by our tour operator. The lodge is in need of maintenance especially the toilets and curtains. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Please be aware that the lodge only provides hot water during the day, which is when you are usually in the game park. When you return at the end of the day, the water is Luke warm and only enough for one shower. There is no means of hot water in the mornings and a huge problem in the cold mornings in the winter months.( we stayed there in July 2023)
There is also no heating provided in the rooms. The rooms were also not cleaned/made up during our stay.

Lovely dining area and outside fire pit area. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the accomodation was lovely. Good value for money although possibly best to pay for DBB because dinner was 300Nab Dollars on top of BandB- food was tasty but maybe not worth 300. Would stay again for sure!

After spending almost three weeks on mission visiting and encouraging local churches in the mainly Ondangwa region the lodge was welcome break to chill for few days and see & enjoy the Etosha game park. Our hosts at Mopane made the experience something to remember. We are so thankful for the blessings of the team at the lodge and would not hesitate to recommend to friends should they plan a trip to Namibia and Etosha.

Very functional bungalows complemented by a restaurant are a solution for overnight stays near Anderson Gate Etosha National Park. The food is very good for meat lovers. Drinks are available at the bar. However, you need a vehicle to get to Etosha Park

Good budget option to visit Etosha, especially if you don’t require all bells and whistles from the larger & more commercial lodges. A little bit further from the entrance gate to Etosha, but still only a 15 min drive on a tarmac road. Decent restaurant on site, although it’s just whatever the chef made as choice.

The place is not too bad however, it requires maintenance. The tented camp in which I slept is very much exposed to the cold weather. There is an opening that needs to be fixed.

In addition, customer care is not so good. Our visit was during very cold days (-1 degrees celcius) but only twice when the water was warmed out of the 4 days of staying there. In addition, the rooms were not cleaned the whole period of staying there, despite the promise that was made to clean it after 2 days.

In comparison, a fairly simple lodge with bare rooms. We stayed here for two nights in August 2023 on our trip through southern Africa. We will especially remember the sundowner on the raised terrace. The dinners were not so nice, apparently right next to a sewage treatment plant with the corresponding odor nuisance. In addition, the vegetarian offering left a lot to be desired and was limited to side dishes. The breakfast, on the other hand, was good.
