We had an amazing weekend at this lodge. Great accommodation for large groups. Has everything you need, large chiller, 2 ovens, 5 toilets and showers, loads of bunks and seating. The ping pong table and piano were very well used. My parents booked the newly renovated cottage out the back and loved it. We have been visiting whananaki for years and love the area, great for young to old! Estuary across the road, otamure over the hill for the kids and Maureeces bay minutes away is great for surf. Would recommend lodage to all!

We wanted to visit Whananaki again to share a relaxed break across the generations with Grandma, my partner and our children and their partners. The Kiwiana aspect of such an "old school" lodge with a "no frills" bunks and central hall and kitchen aspect took us back to our childhood. We were able to have our family dog with us in the fully fenced section and enjoyed the location, the low cost and the table tennis table was a favourite with all. We could add people if needed as the lodge can easily handle over 20 people and the Church group who own the lodge were incredibly helpful and only asked that we respect the place and the neighbours. A wonderful experience provided you like the "no wifi, no dishwasher, bunks and take your own linen approach. Awesome time to be had. Plan well.
