This was our first time staying at Bender Haus. What a delightful experience we had! The host and hostess were outstanding and treated us so well. Lovely room upstairs and private. Breakfast was outstanding, but the greatest thing about our stay was the history we learned from the Benders. We are going back again next month for a stay!

We were nervous at first about staying in someone’s home, but we were upstairs and it was very private. The couple was so sweet; they learned it was our anniversary and bought us a small cake! The breakfasts were delicious too. The only tricky part was that when they left the house, they’d lock the door so if you were out at the same you’d have to wait for them. But it was t too hard with the shops and restaurants in town to find something to do and wasn’t a conflict really :)

The B & B is in an ideal location in a quiet neighborhood but convenient for walking to town. Bev and Elden were fantastic hosts. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves, which included a large bedroom, bathroom, small fridge and microwave. Breakfast at the Bender Haus is a special time, where in addition to the variety of great food choices, we enjoyed talking with our hosts and hearing about the town's history from Elden, who is a descendant of the original settlers. We left this lovely village feeling like part of the community ourselves and as if we were saying goodbye to long lost relatives instead of 2 people we had just met. We hope to see you again!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights as part of a summer road trip through northern Ontario. We selected Frankenmuth as a two day destination on our way back home. Bev and Eldon are great hosts and who are descendants from the first settlers in that area. They shared their community, their home and their history with us which really made our experience very enjoyable.

Stayed there for the weekend, very nice couple, treat you like family. Bev is a great cook. The house is nice and clean, very quiet at night so you can get to sleep. They house right near town which is convenient. Will definitely stay there again.

A simple B and B. The hosts are from the original 15 settlers of this unique village. The breakfast prepared by Bev are totally delicious and the menu changed daily. It was fun to hear the history of the area. A beautiful neat and tidy village. The German specialties in the center town restaurants are every thing they profess to be. The house was spotlessly clean. I guess after 32yrs the Benders have it down pat.
