There is big mall near the hotel. Not far from an active shopping area. About ten kilometers from Trabzon city center There is bus station near the hotel. The beach within a few steps from the hotel. Good reception staff specially Aisha Gul, very active and helpful.

A large hotel amenities are excellent, with lots of backyard and very close to the relaxing beach. I stayed in the hotel because my flight had been cancelled and the airline booked for me to stay there. Hotel location is great it's near to the mall and close to centre of town.
The facilities in the hotel are high class, the only issue is some of their staff manner, they are so rude especially that guy in reception I really don't understand how he is working for such a well-known hotel, he was shouting at the face of one traveller his flight was cancelled!!. They deal with the travellers who come from such cases differently because maybe they are not paying for their stay. They kept saying that they will arrange a transport for me to the airport but I waited till one hour before my flight and I asked for a taxi at the end, I don't know if its true that was a transport coming or not because I was waiting for more than an hour and that receptionist keeps saying within 5 minutes it will come.
Housekeeping staff were good and polite honestly. Also the receptionist in the gym is a friendly person.
One more thing was bad is not giving any instructions to you, just the key and room number and go, the room doesn't have any guide book or even room service list and that's not Accor standards.

The room was very dirty. There was a fresh coffee stain on the wall, the carpet had not been vacuumed, and the bedding appeared to have been used. Although there were three of us, we only received amenities for two. On the first day, they provided espresso capsules, but on the second day, they claimed they had none. The bathroom smelled awful, like eggs, likely because the floor was mopped with dirty mops. There was hair on the basin, and the bathtub was slippery.
On the third night, we requested fresh linen, which they provided, but the duvet cover was damaged and should be discarded. The corridors were full of dust and garbage, with dirty skirting boards. The AC was off, making it hard to breathe, and the lobby toilets and entrance were dirty. This place is far from being a five-star hotel. My stay was horrible, with broken electric switches in the room, a dusty balcony, a balcony door that needed fixing, and stained, hole-ridden curtains.
The front office staff need training on how to interact with guests and solve problems; they seem to lack basic hospitality knowledge. Housekeeping needs training and training the staff need supervision and one to inspect the rooms . Restaurant food was delicious and very tasty, Halil was working very hard jumping from here to there and always make sure if we are satisfied with food. Breakfast very good. But you Gus lack in cleaning and clear the tables inside and outside. No duty manager available, no one asked how was our stay even. Novotel is one of my favorite hotel brand.

We didn't like the hotel at all, in the booking we indicated that there would be four adults and one child, we were given two rooms only for four, we called the reception twice, we went there twice, but no one did anything. There is no hot water in the shower, the rooms are dusty, old, the air conditioner almost doesn't work, upon arrival no one even showed us to the room, there are no brushes, no robes or anything else in the room. There is not a big choice for breakfast. In the evening we wanted to go to the pool, but we need swimming caps for it. No one warned us that we needed them, we had to buy them for 100 lira here. I don't know where the 5 stars came from, I think two stars are extra.

While our primary goal as a team is to always provide the best service, the feedback from our guests adds experience and happiness to our team. We have done the necessary research on the situation you mentioned, but I should point out that since your reservation is for 4 adults and 1 child, there are 2 rooms in each room, 1 large bed and 1 sofa bed, and the room has been allocated according to the number of people. During check-in, it was stated that our rooms do not have 3 separate beds and your approval has been received. And after you checked in, your sofa bed was opened by our staff. We would like to state that the reason for the low number of products we leave in our rooms as standard is to minimize the footprint we leave on nature. In addition, if you have any needs, you can contact the reception and the product you need has been left in your room by the housekeeping and renewed daily. It is mandatory to wear a swimming cap in the indoor pool due to hygiene standards. If necessary, you can buy a swimming cap from the spa center. If one needs to learn about 5star hospitality then this property is an institution because it teaches you everything "What not to do". No one smiles (receptionist, restaurant, room cleaning staff). I saw poor reviews related to this but thought it would have been a personal feedback but the service in this hotel is pathetic. Offcourse speaking English is not common in Trabzon but people outside in general are so nice and polite that they make an effort to help you and keep smiling and trying. To make things worse we are Vegetarians and to explain that to this 5star staff is to invite their rude stare "then why did you come here". Starts with the guy at the reception and the trainee and the bell boy (who stops in the room after getting luggage imploring you and almost threatening you for a Tip). I asked the trainee to show me an executive room and he says that we will give you the price difference and if you like it we will show you the room. The receptionist is a street smart alec who without speaking tells you that you better stay in the room that you have booked because you dont look the type who wants a sea side view. I changed to Ramada for additional 2 nights and thank god for it. Novotel needs to get their act together if they care for their brand. Why should smiling be such an arduous difficult task ???

I stayed in Novotel for 3 days for a business trip. The hotel has a nice site; the garden and beach are a plus. However, visitors and some of the employee's behavior is not good to prevent from Covid19. Elevators are full (should be max 3 people in), cooks are not wearing facemasks. Most of the visitors who are coming from the Middle East Region are not wearing faces at all. In addition to this, no one is asking them to wear. At least some of the employees like Serdar working in the restaurant are showing conscious behaviour. He and his mates are wearing masks and stick to rules. Hope the others follow him.

Worst experience ever , we had booked a room with three single beds and they gave us a double room with an extra bed noting that it was our request since we’ve done our reservation!! Room is very small and had no view!! Tried to contact them many times and no-one changed the beds or the room or even tried to make us satisfied!!!
