Travelers have had varied experiences at The Westin Waltham Boston, with many praising its cleanliness and friendly service, despite occasional slow response times. Guests enjoy the pet-friendly policy and the in-room Starbucks coffee, although some feel the amenities, like the pool towels, fall short. While the location is generally considered convenient, it can come with noise during events.
The rooms are described as comfortable but some cite concerns with noise and outdated decor. Critiques often center around perceived value, as some guests question the cost relative to the services provided.

Detailed Reviews
The Westin Waltham has everything you typically find in a Westin Hotel- Including the White Tea Scent in the Lobby and the Heavenly Collection Bedding. This hotel was close enough to Boston that a simple rental car took us most places we needed to go and was affordable. We will gladly stay here again.
They are working on making the garage more accessible- currently is has low ceiling and difficult to maneuver with tight parking spaces. This hotel needs Electric Vehicle dedicated Charging areas.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff is very lovely. Parking is convenient, easy, and $20 a night self-park. The rooms are in good shape, and it is a bustling hotel. The fitness center is okay. The two treadmills I tried to use did not work, but there are probably a dozen various cardio machines. The pool is tiny but warm. There is no lounge floor. There was no mini bar in the junior suite we stayed in. Room service and all food service ends before 10 pm. The $25 breakfast buffet was on par with a typical complimentary Residence Inn breakfast. There didn't appear to be enough staff to handle a la carte breakfast orders. Overall, it is a nice, clean hotel, but not a top-tier Westin in terms of services and the price charged per room.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Hotels generally are notorious for ruining your sleep with bedside alarm clocks going off at all hours. I always try to unplug alarm clocks upon arrival. The alarm clock in my room however was wired into the wall through a socket that was behind the bed frame. Impossible to unplug. Not ideal. So I examine the clock to ensure the alarm is off. There was a bell symbol with the word OFF on its digital face — alarm off, right? You’d think, but you’d be wrong. After a late evening out, I was riled from sleep at 6:00am by this bloody alarm — and of course, in the dark, the only obvious button to press was Snooze, which subjected me to multiple rounds of slamming this tortuously inadequate button. If I could go back in time and throw this crappy little clock (an “amenity”) through the window, I would. Being thusly distributed ruined my sleep and the long day I had ahead of me. I told the front desk staff about the errant alarm and they offered a tepid “sorry” and comped my $15 overnight parking fee. Yippee. I guess my peace and serenity at this property isn’t worth the full room rate that I paid. To management: remove these ridiculous relics from your rooms, or at bare minimum make every guest an express guarantee that they will not bear the onus of having to figure out how to disarm the alarms. Jesus Crisis.

Thank you so much for providing this feedback, Megan. I am so sorry that this was your experience, as you are absolutely right that our guests should not be woken up by the alarms in the room. It is certainly standard procedure for these to be reset each time a guest checks out of a room, so I sincerely apologize that this was not done in this case. Disturbing your peace and serenity is absolutely the last thing we would want to do. I will discuss this with our Housekeeping leadership team to ensure that this is addressed and will not happen again.

The hotel is an extreme disappointment because it looks beautiful from the outside and it’s in a great location, but I have stayed here three times and two of the three times there has been a very loud and overbearing Convention. One was a salsa convention a couple years ago and I thought I would give it another chance this year and there was an anime convention. I’m not sure which was worse, but the attendees were everywhere and very loud.
In addition to that, the first room I was given had a terrible smell so I asked for another one, and they did find me one that smelled better. It was clean enough, but not so much the common areas. When I got downstairs for my coffee the next morning around 7 AM, there was leftover food and drink and crumbs on the tables from the night before. They obviously cater to conventions and groups that are very loud and unruly and I will not be staying here again.

Thank you so much for your feedback, as disappointing as it is. I'm so sorry to hear that your stay was disturbed by the different groups that were also staying with us. Our team should still be able to provide you with a pleasant experience no matter the circumstances, so I sincerely apologize that this wasn't the case for two of your stays.

Great dining experience - our server Elizabeth was terrific. She really enjoys her work and you can see it! We had the buffet which was fresh, hot and delicious!
The oatmeal was the “real” oatmeal (not the instant kind).
Thank you very much

Unfortunately we stayed for 4 nights at this hotel whilst there was a salsa convention on at the same time. Was woken up at 1am with the smell of weed coming through the air conditioning and then on subsequent nights the smell of food. In addition we were kept awake throughout the nights by salsa guests thinking it’s ok to party in their rooms and public corridors, disturbing other guests who were trying to sleep. This hotel is not managed properly. It was the third time this salsa convention had taken place at the hotel so you would have thought they would put other guests in a quieter area of the hotel to avoid any problems but this wasn’t the case! We were offered to move rooms at 1.30am which we declined as we just wanted to sleep as we had a wedding the following day. We were given 10,000 Marriott points as compensation which equates to a third of one nights stay which is insulting considering what we endured over our 4 night stay. A truly awful experience and not made any better by the current management. Do not stay here! Courtyard Hotel in Waltham is much better.

Thank you very much for providing your feedback. I'm so sorry to hear your stay was disturbed by other guests attending an event at the hotel, especially as you were visiting for such a special occasion. That is certainly not the experience we want to provide for our guests. Our expectation would be for our security team to prevent or properly respond to any such disturbance so that it doesn't continue, so I sincerely apologize if this was not the case. While I absolutely understand your frustration with your stay, my hope is that you might give us another chance to provide what I know would be a much better experience in the future.

While spending Christmas with our daughter and her husband’s family we stayed 5 nights at the Westin. Our stay was pleasant but unfortunately we had to move rooms after the second night due to loud noises and incense burning tfe previous nights. The staff was accommodating but it was a hassle. We were pleased with the cleaning during the holidays and our package included breakfast which is a plus as the Buffett and menu selections are above average.

I stayed at the Westin Waltham Boston for a work conference for one week and the experience was disappointing.
First, they charged me almost $900 for my stay - which was supposed to be charged to the company - and all they could say is that it was a “mistake”. It took all week for them to return the charge to my card. In speaking with other coworkers, warning them to check their accounts, they were also charged various amounts - one person was charged $1600!
Next, the Wi-Fi was terrible. I was unable to take calls via zoom with my camera on because the network was super unstable.
Finally, we ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and it took an hour to get a cocktail drink and then an additional hour to receive our food, which had to be recooked because it was cold. And no, it was not busy.
I’m not sure I’ll be staying at this Westin again.

I stayed for the weekend and it was a great experience! Overall don’t hesitate to book your stay here at the westin! You’ll get more than what you pay for!

After I neglected to make a reservation for my overnight business trip, I tried to make one with only 24 hours notice only to discover the hotel was sold out. I asked the hotel’s management to let me know if something opened-up last minute for me - not expecting anyone to remember or have the time to reach back out - and they DID. I couldn’t believe how attentive, “on it” and thoughtful they were to reach out and help me solve a problem last minute. Incredibly grateful, and impressed with the attentiveness
