This review will focus on the "positives," but I feel obligated to mention some "negatives" so that people will be prepared.

Positives: Amazing location ON THE BEACH with a premium parking space for your car. My room was very clean, no bad smells at all and I am sensitive to smells. Helpful/friendly staff. Patio/Deck outside my room looked updated as was the sliding screen and glass door. Bathroom seemed new-ish. Amenities, towels all good. Paint in room seemed fresh. Beds and bedding was clean and comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave worked well. The motel room I had was huge. Temperature control in room works well.

Negatives: SLOW internet to where it was almost not usable but maybe there was an outage in the area as it was slow in a nearby restaurant as well. TV has limited channels. Furniture was scratched up, dinged but it was clean. Carpet was very stained, even though a housekeeper told me it was only 2 years old. No ice machine so bring your own ice.

The reason for the "4" is because as bad as the furniture and carpet looks, the positives outweigh the negatives.

Everything was superb from the start. Check in was fast and easy. Just call if they’re not at the front desk. Very kind and welcoming. Walked into the room and had a perfect view of the ocean. So glad we had a fridge and a microwave. Beds were comfy and the place was immaculate. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Walking distance to the center, food and fun. I can’t compliment this place enough.,

We had a large, clean room. We were on the ground floor so our door opened out right onto the sand. The beds were comfortable. I loved taking a long walk on the beach each morning. There were also some great restaurants within five miles. Bonnie was so nice and welcoming. She really went out of her way so that we could check in late.

The good part of our stay was the room - we stayed in a king room for 2 nights on the bottom floor. Some effort in modernizing the room with nice curtains, pictures. The bathroom is large, with a very noisy fan. The proximity to the beach was good - you can hear the waves but can't really see the beach from the room.

My biggest concern was safety & the control of the other guests. The doors leading to the hallway to our rooms were suppose to be locked but most of the time they were open since other guests did not shut them well. The door handles on the room doors are a little flimsy. The other guests really ruined by stay here. We arrived for a long weekend hoping to unwind from our crazy lives & just relax. When we got to the motel, there had to be at least 8 - 10 women/girls sunbathing, talking, yelling at times. We opted to leave for awhile but after dinner, there were still at least 4-5 women drinking, talking, playing the radio & singing right next to our room. The motel is described as a family friendly, relaxing place with an after 10:00 p.m. "quiet time". At 11:00 p.m. there is no one from management at the hotel (another safety issue) to go to so I went out & quietly asked if they could be more quiet - that we were trying to relax. They laughed & continued to party. My husband went to sleep after a long week at work& then one of the guests knocked on our patio door, woke up my husband & asked to borrow something at 11:30! I thought I was in college again only these guests were >30 years old! I considered going to management & I would have called at that time but all you get was an answering machine. I'm glad I didn't say anything since these guests (who thought we had checked out) the next day started telling the other guests at the motel all about us. I felt so uncomfortable & bullied. Beach motels are easy places to have a younger crowd who enjoy drinking & who bring other non guests to their rooms. The management & owners need to reconsider adding a "presence" to this motel if they want a better clientele & a safer environment.

Great place to stay. Staff is friendly and outgoing. If you have a concern it addressed quickly. Condo units are fantastic with great views from front and rear. Especially good from top floor. Right on the ocean with fantastic sunrises from rear deck and sunsets from the front.

Have some good pictures but system not allowing to attach.

We just stayed at the Shoreline Oct 3-6. The room was clean and it did have a wonderful view of the ocean, being directly on the beach....... However, the next morning after our first night, we were awakened by loud construction noises and hammering from the next building at 9 am while they were replacing the roof. This was a building owned by The Shoreline. We called the office and were told that nothing could be done about this, and that it would continue for the next two days..... So, our idyllic vacation stay was ruined with loud hammering every morning. By day two, our backs were killing us from the old, old mattress and box springs. The tags on the mattress showed it to be over 12 years old, the box springs over 15 years old. We removed the mattress cover to find the mattress was literally sagging, full of holes and seriously sunken in the middle. By the third night, our backs hurt so badly, we had to place the mattress on the floor and still sunk into the middle of it. We were paying an average price of $145.00 a night, and this was off season rates. We felt we deserved more than hammering every morning and broken backs from a seriously decrepit mattress. We ended up checking out early, after voicing our concerns. The manager did refund our money for the remaining 10 nights but didn't ask us anything re why we were leaving early or listen to our concerns.
We understand that some of the other rooms are better equipped with newer beds and furniture, but room 103 has old furniture with a seriously run down mattress. I've actually seen better looking mattresses in alleys. Way overpriced for the season for what you get. Don't check into room 103, it's kind of like that John Cusak movie with the bad room in bad motel.

We were blessed with the opportunity to spend the 2013 summer (the end of June to the end of September) at one of Shoreline’s beach homes located at 137 Atlantic Avenue. This review is based on that adventure.
“Hidden Gem”
Before this trip, Salisbury Beach was not well known to us. While we didn’t find a secret lagoon or an underwater coral garden, we DID discover a “hidden gem” on the Atlantic Ocean 45 miles north of Boston on the New Hampshire border.
One step out the front door and you’re walking on beautiful, soft sand. A stroll down a mildly sloping sand dune and you’re on a semi-private, very clean beach. The water is clear, cool and refreshing (and was even warm on a few days!). At low tide, the ocean is shallow for a good distance; at high tide, there is enough sandy beach and open space for everyone. It is perfect for walking, jogging, swimming, body boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, bird watching, fishing (one guest caught a 34” striper off the shore from our beach home), or d-e-c-o-m-p-r-e-s-s-i-n-g. If you like a seashore in harmony with nature and without a commercial presence, this pristine, peaceful beach, may be for you. Many friendly residents and their friends and families tend to be here. This was where we soaked in the sun and relaxed!
If you prefer a public beach with a life guard and a small commercial center saturated with the smells of pizza and fried dough and other low-key trappings, and the sights and sounds of old arcades and bars and the like, the “Boardwalk” is only a short walk (about10 minutes) away. You’ll feel like you have stepped back in time here! If, however, newer, upscale places are more your speed, you can escape up the food chain to: the fine dining of “Capri” (so good and so ‘pet friendly’- it even has a separate dining area for doggies… hey, a dog's gotta eat well too!) or “Seaglass” (so close to the ocean you’ll feel you’re in it - exquisite food and atmosphere!) or the live music, cocktails and dancing of “SurfSide.” (It is the “go-to” summer spot. The rooftop deck is perched perfectly above the waterfront. “Reggae Sunday” is great fun - you’ll feel you’re at “the Islands”). During our stay, a crew was on the boardwalk filming a scene from a movie starring Denzel Washington called “The Equalizer.” No, we didn’t get discovered but it was neat to watch!
Riding the surf and hunting for seashells, sand dollars, and sea glass, kept our nine year old daughter in the water all day. She found many treasures! The on-the-water fireworks show every Saturday night at 10 (which we watched from our living room) was a special bonus. And those soothing sounds of ocean waves rhythmically lapping and crashing against the shore lulled us nightly to sleep.
See our postings to view some of the sunrises and sunsets and rainbows and moonscapes we captured at this coastal wonderland.
The accommodations were as represented: the beach home was older with modest updates, but was “on” the ocean with bold, open views of the sparkling, deep blue Atlantic. If only the Presidential Suite at the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons works for you, look elsewhere. If you want a carefree, casual-no-fuss place to gather and make memories with family and friends, 300 feet from the "Atlantic" where you literally take only one step out your door (instead of a long set of stairs) and you’re in the healing, warm sand, make a reservation now. They book quickly.
Unlike many other beach destinations, this one has low traffic and is close to major roads. It is easy to navigate in and out of and virtually stress-free even in prime time.
Final note: The management team made up of Doug and Megan were absolutely delightful. They were always eager to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. They gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities. We were glad we followed their advice!!

It was the best trip.

We were lucky enough to happen upon this motel after a long day of driving and checking other possible lodgings. Discouraged by the grungy offerings and high prices, we had nearly given up when we found this. Megan and Doug could not possibly have been nicer, offering us menus from local restaurants, giving us directions to all the good eateries, and most of all, offering us lodging with a gorgeous ocean view. The property is well-kept, private and removed from the hustle bustle of downtown Salisbury. It feels like a secluded beach hotel. Our accommodations are clean, comfortable, and offer all the amenities--internet, cable television, comfy chairs, and that view. We will definitely tell our friends about this place.

Just got back from another awesome weekend at the Shoreline Motel. Had another big group this year, same two rooms, same great service, same awesome view. New management this year and they're doing an incredible job!!
Last year the only complaint we had were the beds.....guess what? Brand new beds this year! We slept so good it was very hard to get up in the morning.
Great to have use of the firepit and gas grills.
I can't say anymore about this place, except that we absolutely cannot wait until next year to come back. Think we may try out one of the condos for a week next year. Three days just isn't enough at this place.
One bad thing completely on us....Poor Bonnie got jipped out of decent tip because WE forgot about her. So if you see this post Bonnie, we will make it up to you!! You do a wonderful job and shouldn't be forgotten!!
