We stayed here for the long-term parking/airport shuttle benefit. The hotel was ok, overall. There is no elevator so guests have to climb steps. Check-in staff were very helpful. The common area staircases had stained and filthy carpet, and clean but stained chairs on landings, but the room itself was clean and in good order. The bed was comfortable. There is a fair bit of road noise until 11 pm, and the walls are thin (can hear neighboring TV and conversations), but running the fan function on the a/c worked well to mitigate this. The hotel is in a somewhat dilapidated neighborhood but the valet moves the car to a secure lot for long term parking. On return from our trip the shuttle took us from the airport directly to the car. Return shuttle staff were friendly and helpful.…
The actual hotel is not great, but the room cost $59+taxes etc, so what can you reasonably expect?! It did the job by providing a place to sleep after a long flight. The off site car park felt a little sketchy, but turned out fine. We did not have any problems with timing of shuttle pick up/drop off, in fact that all went smoothly for us. The ladies at the front desk were super kind and helpful. Overall, good value if you are looking for a VERY budget experience. If you prefer more comfort, perhaps spend a bit more elsewhere. Oh, and disappointed that there was no coffee available in lobby, but there was a convenience store nearby, so it worked out.
I've stayed in hotels all over the world, many of them noisy, but this hotel stands alone. It is positioned right beside (I mean within 15 feet or so) a divided highway with two lanes each way and loads of heavy oil trucks moving in each direction. Were this a constant din, it might be something that some could acclimate to, but because this road includes traffic lights, the pulse moves from very short periods of total quiet to earsplitting noise. I was able to actually get a decent night's sleep because I grew up near a highway and in some ways feel at home with traffic noise, but most people would be driven bonkers. I am amazed this hotel does not give out earplugs upon check-in. As for the room, it was of decent size, in worn out, but acceptable condition, and included a small shower that was OK. The hotel is positioned in a residential area with homes absolutely crammed together. The one saving grace is a responsive, free shuttle service with nice drivers. But expect a shuttle van that has no shocks and is barely getting by. On the trip to the airport, one of the hotel's vans was on the side of the road on fire. Happily, I was only there for about 7 hours, but be sure to bring your own food. There's nothing nearby. I would certainly never return to this property.…
For an unplanned overnight stay in Boston due to a missed flight connection, this Rodeway Inn provided an adequate accommodation. Airport Shuttle was a big plus. Lisa at front desk was very nice. Cleanliness was decent. Comfortable bed. Main attraction was price, as other hotels near the airport are much more expensive, and I was at my trip budget limit already. But there were some obvious issues: No remote for the TV. A plastic cup in the bathroom would have been nice. Empty tissue box. Just basic attention to details type stuff.
I rarely post negative reviews and I hesitated doing so now. However, after getting our credit card statement today and finding out that we have been billed twice for this dump pushed me over the edge. We booked this place through Booking.com and were guaranteed a price at check in. When we checked in, the woman at the desk was clearly overwhelmed and confused as rooms that were supposed to be ready were not (this was at 5:00PM). We were finally assigned a room and given a key. Please realize that the hotel has no elevator, so you will be lugging your stuff up or down. We climbed up to our room, which was fair only to find out 5 minutes later that another couple were also assigned our room and given a key!! They left to get it sorted out and went to another room. When I later went to the desk to ask about getting the television to work, I was told that she had no idea and to just push buttons on the remote. The "24 hour" shuttle does not run for 24 hours, but did start at 4AM. We left on a Saturday and later that day, I received a message from the hotel that I had left something in the room and were we coming back. As we were out of the country, I had my daughter call and speak to someone. They had no idea what she was talking about and there was no record of missing items. We did leave a diet coke in the fridge??? And now, we are being billed twice for this dump?? I have a call in to the manager, but I don't suspect much good will come of it. I will probably have to argue this with my credit card company. So, stay somewhere else even if it's slightly more expensive (not that this was really cheap anyway). Poorly managed, poorly staffed and poor service.…
This was a terrible experience. We stayed the night prior to a flight out from Boston Logan, we used this hotel lot and airport shuttle which was affordable for Boston. Unfortunately it’s priced that way for a reason. The lots were extremely crammed and confusing, parking was a game of Tetris. The shuttle on the way there took so long I began to get anxious we might miss our flight. They basically kept circling around and picking up MORE people without priority to the people that needed to get to the airport on a schedule. On the return trip, they LOST our vehicle. Yes, LOST it. After nine hours of traveling we had to wait another hour and a half for them to FIND our car. It was truly horrendous. While they tried to find our car another family was getting agitated about missing THEIR flight as well! So if you want to stress about missing your flight and not be able to find your car, definitely park here.…
Nice front desk people but they can't make up for the NOISE. Wow, noisiest motel ever. Ac worked but just barely. Fairly clean, close to airport and Revere Beach. Ok in a jam, poor parking, no elevator for handicapped. No coffee. Rather old and sad motel
We used their paid parking lot when we were taking a flight out of Logan. This was hands down the worst parking experience. I reserved the parking online the night before and prepaid. When we first arrived, around 10 AM, there was no attendant present. Instead of approaching our car and telling us where to park, there was a gentleman who was waving us out of the parking lot. We were told the next shuttle would not be back for another 30 to 45 minutes. We had to spend $30 for an Uber so that we would make it on time for our flight. When we return from our trip, I called the number for the shuttle at least 10 times and the phone just rang until it disconnected. That was quite disheartening. Eventually I called and someone who did not appear to be very engaged or helpful answered the phone. We eventually caught the shuttle back to the parking lot. At least the driver was friendly. They use some sort of paint marker on the front and rear windshield to Mark the date of arrival, and it took me quite some work to get that removed from my windows several days later. I was duped by some positive reviews about this parking lot, but that was my first and last time using it.…
Used the SleepParkFly option and ended up being overcharged, plus the hotel miscommunicated with the parking service, resulting in me having to pay an extra four days parking just to get my car back. I've asked for the hotel manager to contact me about this but have been ignored. It may be that I need to go through SleepParkFly (have been trying), but the manager should get back to me as I've been told. Very shabby treatment of a guest. I don't think they care at all.
The good side first, room was large and clean. The rest of the story: we arrived at the airport at 3 PM, called immediately for a shuttle to the hotel. The call went straight to hold, then after 10 minutes we tried again, this time it rang and rang and rang, after about 4 minutes we tried again, this time it said the phone wass disconnected. This went on for an hour and 15 minutes when we finally got a person who said they would send a shuttle. It arrived and was old, dirtty inside and out, broken parts, and the driver spent the entire time on the phone to a personal friend. We arrive at the hotel and the door is blocked by two what appeared permanent residents smoking cigarettes. We get in and go to the desk, there are 4 people there, the phone rrings and rings but no one answers it. We get about half way through the registration and they say there is a mandatory $15 fee that we must pay that was not part of the reservation. On the reservation it did say there was a $5 resort fee we would owe but no mention of the $15 fee. I showed them the reservation paper; one of the workers said I have to pay the $15---I did. The noise went on until about 1 AM to the point I could not sleep. We had reserved a shuttle back to the airport at 5:30. We set our phones for 4:45 AM; at 4:15 we received a wakeup call asking if we wanted to get on the shuttle at 5::00 instead. We thought it safer to get the shuttle so we got up and arrived at the airport early. We will not be returning to this motel.…
