While some guests celebrate the attentive service and lavish spa amenities, others have encountered communication mishaps and overcrowding at the facilities. My wife and I booked a room at Mirbeau hoping to stay somewhere nice for our 35th anniversary. We had also come to the area to see family long unseen. First impressions driving in is pretty nice but there is a lot of construction is going on. We were greeted courteously by everyone and the sign on entry said everyone’s temp is checked...nope, we must of looked healthy. We were given our room and the first thing we see outside our room were trays of eaten food from another room almost blocking our door. We called down and it was taken care of immediately.
The room itself was nice but was small, we had a large suitcase and there was nowhere to put it. The bath was nice.
They did leave us a 1/2 bottle of wine for our anniversary but we do not drink red. Nobody checked or asked later. The next evening we returned to our room and they had done turndown but had not replaced water or given us new coffee cups etc. but at least the bed was turned down!
The next morning we had opened the shades and full sunlight had hit the bed, the sheets had separated from the duvet cover and what did we find on those sheets, old bloodstains! I guarantee the blood was not from us. My wife went right down to the front desk and we were promised the room would be cleaned and all linen replaced. We later went to the manager and she had yet to hear about the issue. She made some good noises but we felt it was not taken seriously. We reiterated that this was a “NEVER” occurrence especially during these times and she agreed. We keep on seeing signs on how proud they are on their cleaning regimen but it certainly failed here. When we complained about the state of the room the second night the manager stated that they do not clean every day and we should have been told this on arrival, nope they did not, another oops!
There was a small amount taken of our bill, very small.
This was a major wrong, not a minor one, I would hate to go in a room with a black light. Who knows if the spa is cleaned correctly also.
What is also funny is we never had a follow up from the Director of Housekeeping as we were told we would and the manager never followed up to see if everything was corrected to our satisfaction.
STAY AWAY from Mirbeau, they claim they are a 5 diamond resort, but they are certainly far from it.

I know we did not meet your expectations. As I said when we talked, I'm sorry for our oversight and any human error on our part. We did clean the room and replaced the linens, and attempted to resolve the issues promptly. I spoke personally with the Housekeeping Director and Front Desk staff, and we always share both positive and constructive comments with staff to improve. I do believe our years of positive reviews, Forbes Recommended rating, and AAA 4-Diamond rating can attest that we do meet high standards much of the time, but I apologize that we did not meet them during your stay.

We loved our stay at Mirabeau. The service was above and beyond. Phil the concierge was so helpful and friendly with our bags to start. The restaurant staff remembered us after day one and greeted us like old friends. The spa staff were also very friendly and helpful. I loved the delux hydrafacial and my friend loved her maternity massage.

The rooms are really cozy with individual fireplaces and comfy beds. We both slept incredibly. We spent most of our time in the quiet zen reading room or in the outdoor hot tub.

For food, lunch was our favorite meal. We had the French onion soup and focaccia bread with spreads three days in a row. SO GOOD. Our second favorite meal was breakfast. Everything on the lighter fare menu was really good. They really lean into the French lifestyle so prepare to wait a bit for your drinks and food. My only very small complaint was that it was so hard to get water refilled. At dinner, it took us 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. I loved the slow, French lifestyle but water and drinks should be a bit quicker! The second night, we went off property and ate at the Rye Tavern nearby which was delicious.

All in all, a fantastic stay and we will definitely back.

We had stayed at Mirbeau in the past. This time we took the Sip and Savor package -- not worth it. The cheese plate had 3 grapes for 2 people. The cheese plate was not enough for one person and wine was ordinary at best. The room was smaller than we had in the past. Skip package deal. The room alone and lunch and a dinner would be about $150 less if purchased separately.

All of our guestrooms -- other than suites -- are the same size, with double queen-bedded rooms approx. 450 sq feet.

I live in the Plymouth area, have been to Mirbeau many times, and will continue to return. The spa facility at Mirbeau is incredible - great quiet spaces, a large hot tub, delicious cocktails, and a professional team of masseurs. Combine that with a lovely restaurant and immaculately-maintained property - it's a place to experience as a local or as a tourist. Service is also a 10/10. Word of caution - Mirbeau is not a place you go with a tight budget, but if that statement doesn't phase you and you're looking to plan a special day or short getaway, I can't recommend it enough.

My son and daughter in law get married this past weekend, the venue was at Pinehills country club we stayed at your spa the weekend it was marvelous from the doorman to the desk clerks to your restaurant the only problem I had was with housekeeping. With all the chaos on Saturday morning to get ready for the wedding I totally forgot to leave a tip for housekeeping I realized a couple of hours later but I figured I will leave double on Sunday morning before we leave when we went back to our room after the church and before the venue we noticed the dirty cups from coffee were still in the room no coffee was left for the next day the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. That’s the only reason I can’t give them an excellent rating. I did leave a cash tip on Sunday morning before we checked out

The spa area is just lovely! The room was very nice as well with a tub and fireplace!
There were two down sides. One was the food, it was truly terrible. Lobster dish hardly had any lobster, the mushroom dish was nothing like the menu described, the burger was ordered rare and came well done, the macarons were store bought and dry, the breakfast was greasy, covered in strong truffle flavoring... I mean I don't like to complain but it was bad.
Also at the end there was confusion about what we added that wasn't included in the package. They said they would send me a detailed itemized bill but never did. I reached out but still don't know what the extra $200 was for. The fellow at the front desk said he comped our drinks, food was included, and they didn't charge for the small spa add-on, but he kept going back and forth and using a calculator, kind of awkward.
Would I go back? Yes, I just would DEFINITELY eat somewhere else.

I'm surprised and sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your dining experience. That does not sound like the Bistro at all. I have shared your comments with the Front Desk and the Restaurant manager so they are aware. On a positive note, I am happy that you enjoyed the guest room and spa during your visit. I hope you give Mirbeau another chance!

I had my wedding here on 10/16/20 and it was an awful experience - the wedding coordinator disappeared, the GM asked why I was there when I was standing in front of her with my wedding dress, they allowed another bride and groom and their wedding party were taking pictures at my ceremony site when I was supposed to be walking down the aisle in 5 minutes, and they didn't do what I had previously discussed with them on my contract and in emails for my wedding. During our stay, no one knew what their "Minimoon" package was that I paid a few thousand $ for which they have been advertising for months and couldn't give correct billing. No one cleaned our room during a 3 night stay, massages were a rub down with zero pressure and not worth the the $. When I called the CEO to let him know what happened during my wedding and stay, I got nothing but excuses and a pathetic apology after I asked for one! Take your money elsewhere.

Liz, unfortunately when you changed the time of the ceremony to an hour earlier, and changed the location 20 minutes before it started, it caused some scrambling. We apologize that the wedding and stay didn't go as well as you had hoped.

Mirbeau is elegant, welcoming, and offers a great many top notch amenities. Certainly not a bargain vacation by any stretch, but for those who wish to truly splurge, this is a great place to do it! We stayed overnight as part of a couples' package, and we got a room with a private patio, which was really quite wonderful. We enjoyed a couples' massage, and especially the "Quiet Room" on either side of that; the Quiet Room is almost worth the price of admission itself! The hot tub, bar and bistro were also very enjoyable. If you're going to come, plan on spending money and getting everything you can out of it!

This was a wonderful place to go with no agenda. My daughter and I visited to spend some time reminiscing about a dear friend. The quiet and peacefulness fit out needs well. My daughter had made some spa reservations in advance. We both especially liked the quiet room with foot bath and found it was a perfect place to relax before and after treatments. The Bistro was great and they were helpful with allergies. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the curtains kept the room dark so we both slept in. We would definitely come back as well as think about visiting some of the other Mirabeau hotels.

This is our second time staying at the Mirbeau Inn and Spa in Plymouth. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We stayed two nights and received services on our first and second days. We appreciated the fact that we could use the spa amenities the whole day of our services as we were able to enjoy the relaxation room well before our services. My husband and I both received massages that were excellent.

Our room was nice, but there are some things that could use some attention/updating. One of the sinks didn't drain, and the makeup mirror was falling off the wall. Other than that, the room was nice. We were a little disappointed that there was no way to mirror our devices with the TV or access our Netflix account as we have been able to do in many other hotels. There also was only one usb port to charge a device. None of these things would stop us from returning, but in comparison to other places we've stayed, it wasn't quite as up-to-date.

We did not eat any of the food, so I can't really comment on that. We were disappointed to find that the garden cafe wasn't open during the week as the Bistro is quite pricey. However, there is a decent Italian restaurant and breakfast place a stone's throw away, so we just walked over there for our meals (when we weren't going to town).

We did receive services on our second day, as well. I had a pedicure that was slightly underwhelming considering the price I paid for it. A massage was part of the treatment, but it really wasn't much of one. I've received better for much less.

The staff are all friendly and welcoming and want to accommodate if at all possible. We will return, but with the hope that some changes are made. The nightly rates are quite high; therefore our expectations tend to be a little higher.

Thank you for your inquiry! We have the one whirlpool located in the Aqua Terrace. The area is open to the outdoors but the doors to the solarium and main building are a dozen steps. We have a foot pool in the Resting Area but that is not meant for full-body plunges. I hope this helpful!

The hotel is lovely and there are trails and roads for walking. When we stayed, nothing was included in the room- there may be special offers that allow for that. Nice restaurant and lounge areas inside and outside.
