Just 15 miles from Boston, The Inn at Hastings Park is nestled in historic Lexington, MA and provides the perfect destination for exploring Lexington and Concord, Boston, Cambridge and other charming Boston area communities. For those interested in American history, Lexington is a must-see destination. Considered the Birthplace of American Liberty, the first shots of the American Revolutionary War were fired on the Lexington Battle Green, which is just footsteps away from The Inn. Guests can also visit nearby Walden Pond, where famous American author, poet and transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau lived. The 22 guest rooms and suites at The Inn at Hastings Park are arranged in three meticulously restored historic buildings: The Main House, originally built in 1888 as the private home of one of Lexington's first families; the Isaac Mulliken House, a private residence built in 1841 for the spirited local politician; and The Barn, which served as Mulliken's original carpentry shop.

We chose Inn at Hastings Park for our Labor Day Wedding Weekend and it was an exquisite, quaint and wonderful experience! Location is perfect for guests flying into Boston & provides easy walkability to nearby shoppes/coffee/historic sites. We loved the simplicity of choosing a quaint venue that offered it all ~ luxury accomodations, catering/restaurant/pub, welcoming front porch, out door ceremony space and the quintessential aspect of an Inn to all gather together. From our preplanning conversations with Shiobanne, Director of Sales & Marketing and all the details of booking ~ bridal suite, family guest rooms, selecting menus, planning the ceremony space, reception and brunch the next day, Shiobanne was positively stellar! Experienced, attentive, excited, warm and engaging, she ensured our experience was flawless. Our details for vendors, decor, signage and favors were welcomed and all executed perfectly. The suites are immaculate, elegant, quiet and comfortable. The staff are all lovely & we enjoyed meeting owner Trisha who ensured our experience was perfection and genuinely shared time with us the morning of our wedding. Exceptional and exquisite experience in every way! Gratitude galore!

Just perfect! The most amazing staff goes above & beyond and is just their everyday persona, love everythng about Inn At Hastings, that it's become a get away place more than viisting family in the area. Each room has it's own personality, which makes trying out different rooms fun. The food is excellant and open to the public well as for the guests staying there. Heat lamps on the porch for those who want to be outside and there's heated igloos on the property. Downtown is a short walk as are finding the local trails.

We spent four nights here while visiting the Lexington area to see old friends. Athough we had lived in Lexington a few blocks from the inn until last summer and had eaten at the restaurant many times, we had never been in the guest rooms.

Our room (#19, in the Milliken) was large, comfortable, and bright, with windows on three sides. Breakfasts were the only disappointing part of the stay. On Saturday and Sunday, the continental breakfast was across from the office. Presumably due to covid, there was very little choice and items were prepackaged. There were no purchase options, unless one wanted the brunches served later in the morning. On Monday and Tuesday, the continental breakfast was still limited, though less prepackaged and one could purchase two different hot items. Overall we were very glad we stayed here rather than in one of the larger hotels out by route 95/128,

We went to tea for a late Mother’s day celebration. We have enjoyed tea in Ireland and the UK as well as many locations in the US like the Boston Public Library. In every other case, each person gets their own Tea tray with sandwiches and pastries and it’s usually too much to finish. Today, at the Inn we were shocked to discover that there was one tower for 6 adults including 3 large men. At $65 per person that worked out to about 3 pieces each. The children were served their own dish which had about 6 pieces. When we inquired about ordering another tower, the waiter left and never came back with an answer so he either didn’t hear us or chose to ignore the request. When we asked again he said we could not get more tea sandwiches but we could order lunch which we did. The food was average. This isn’t about price, we would have paid more but that didn’t seem to be an option. We also saw a table of 4 women who had the same size tower as we did. Something just isn’t right here and we won’t be back.

It is beyond me that this Inn has such great reviews. Having paid over $300.00 a night for a Mother’s Day weekend getaway we were totally underwhelmed. We arrived at 7:00 and were given room 33, it not only looked over the restaurant parking lot, bright orange and white construction bars across the street, but it’s main view was a four road intersection right off from the hotel. The far right window showed a total close up view of the big black fire escape. The room also was located over the kitchen or prep room as the first night I could hear the silverware and dishes being dumped on occasion and being located at the top of the main stairs we could hear the conversations of people leaving and entering the Inn. The second night was quieter with few dinners but we were still stuck in a room with the heavy blackout curtains completely shut and forced to endure swirling golden wallpaper, which reminded me of the short story “ The Yellow Wallpaper “ written of a woman going mad in her forced isolation of her bedroom. The majority of these reviews must be based on the dinning as we enjoyed their brunch and the service was fine after the manager who talked too long and loud at each table left the room. We were dreading her coming to our table after having our meal interrupted by her voice at 4 other tables. Thankfully she just did a quick check in and left us in peace. There was no fire place or tub for us and only a smaller shower with a larger shower head. The free in room treats were Teddy Grams and Goldfish to eat and soda with two cans of beer to drink(seriously for 350.00 a night?). When I went to iron my clothes the the Iron was updated but difficult to fill with water from a glass. However the Ironing board was easily 10 years old with a top padding that looked even older. The robes looked nice but weren’t comfortable. Breakfast did arrive on time. We ordered drip coffee from dining as the Expresso machine seemed unable to produce regular coffee even though it was supposed to. I really wish someone in management would spend a weekend in that room in May and honestly ask themselves if they would really ever spend that much money for a weekend there. Trust us we never will again.

Cozy and beautiful! Everything was so comfortable and easy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the rooms are so cute and unique. Snacks to grab in the hallway, the fridge in the room and by the front desk is stocked with seltzers and soda, and the continental and to-order breakfast were both delicious. All around a very lovely stay! Would absolutely reccommend.

I am not a review writer, but every once in a while an experience is so good that you just have to say so. From my reception by Chris who welcomed me on an exhhausting day, to an extraordinarily comfortable room, to a rejuvenating night's sleep, to a wholesome breakfast served by Connie and including the very best homemade cherry jam-I could not have enjoyed my overnight stay more than I did. I hope to visit again and again--Catherine H.

We went here on a weeknight while our home was under construction. Overall a good stay! Not a typical 5 star property. We used their courtesy Volvo car and it was disgusting (rotten apple cores, crumbs everywhere, legit gross). We were upgraded to a suite which was nice and they sent a bottle of champagne after a bee found its way into the room. The property is cute and in a nice location. When I have older family staying that are driving, it's a good option to avoid Boston traffic. I would skip the restaurant and go to Concord where there are better spots.

The website conveys a better experience than is provided. The check in process was lack luster. I was told the amenity fee included snacks and to “help myself.” But, there weren’t any snacks in my room. My toilet seat was not clean. The music from downstairs kept me awake. The continental breakfast was quite empty upon arrival to eat breakfast and staff seemed sorry to see us arrive.

This is a special place that feels more like visiting a friend who lives in a beautiful, historic home. Our room was beautiful, great wallpaper and a fire to warm the room. Snow falling outside made it even cozier.

Our meal at the inn was fantastic too. The hangar steak with a bottle or red as we listened to an acapella group on tour was right out of a “priceless” Visa ad.

Continental breakfast the next morning was just the wake up we needed. Fresh croissants, crumbly cheddar, fresh cut fruit, fresh juice and coffee. Quiet, relaxed space. We could have stayed forever.
