The Nantasket Beach Resort boasts a prime location with stunning ocean views that many guests adore, alongside a cozy, nautical-themed atmosphere accentuated by in-room fireplaces. However, the experience is marred by inconsistent service ranging from commendable to lackluster. While some travelers appreciate the general cleanliness and proximity to the beach, others find the value lacking, pointing to issues such as inconsistent housekeeping, noise, and other maintenance problems that detract from the overall quality of their stay.

I booked this hotel last minute for a weekend getaway with my family and it was fantastic. We chose a room with a balcony and "partial" ocean view and it was totally worth it. The "partial" view was pretty much a full view. The location is perfect as you can literally throw a rock to the beach, the building itself is right in the middle of Nantasket Beach. We patronized the Bread Basket Cafe, Hull's Kitchen, and the liquor store which were all great and in close walking distance. I love this beach, it was slightly off season so not crowded and plenty of space to comfortably go for long beach walks, picnic and watch the surfers. We also walked to the playground up the street which my kids loved and had a beach view. The Carousel closes after Labor Day so I was bummed we missed that. The hotel is being renovated and looks very nice. They allowed us an early check in and late check out which was much appreciated, you can tell the staff aim to please. My only disappointment was that the pool is not heated, which was one of the reasons we decided to book this hotel. We couldn't really use the pool as the water was very cold, but once that is fixed this will be a 5 star hotel. We will be back again!

Overall this was a decent property. The views were amazing, you can not beat the location! The beds were comfortable and the fireplaces in the room were a huge bonus for a chilly spring. Room size was good too enough space for us and our things without feeling cramped. The hotel does need some updating. The balcony doors need a little DW40 as I’m sure the rollers are worn from years of guests use checking out the fabulous view. The rooms could use a little sprucing up as well, we had some cracks in the paneling and floorboards and some moldy looking spots on the bathroom ceiling. I’m also finding out after our stay that my mother who I had also booked a room for noticed stains on her sheets that she was a bit put off by but felt uncomfortable bringing up to me or the staff while we were there. Pool area is so nice and warm and the heated pool felt great but it could also use some updating or maybe just more frequent cleaning. Lots of hair and trash in the pool and the hottub water looked a bit discolored for the length of our stay. The hotel staff we encountered were all very pleasant and the restaurant food was delicious. We will absolutely stay again but I don’t think my parents would. We will just leave them home next trip :)

We stayed here last weekend for Saturday night as a quick get away. The view was amazing, as we looked right out over the ocean. At check in, the gentleman at the front desk was lovely and friendly. The property has recently undergone a renovation and is still in process. While the guest room was clearly updated, it was filthy. The sliding glass doors were disgusting as was the mirror in the room. It looked like something had been smeared on it. When I went into the bathroom, there was what looked like blood on the inside of the door and on the light switch. Luckily, I had brougth Lysol wipes and wiped down all the surfaces we would be touching. The restaurant was closed which was too bad as the deck looks really nice. We had emailed the hotel prior to our arrival to ask for dining recommendations and never heard back. We called the on site place and found it was closed, there was no mention on the website. The parking areas are very sketchy and looked like random beachgoers were using the hotel spots so it was limited and tight.
Not our best experience.

Regrettably, I spent almost $900 for two nights at the Resort, thinking it would be luxurious enough to make the expense worth it. It wasn't.
First, the room lay-out was terrible: there was nowhere to sit in front of the fireplace because it faced the refrigerator and closet, instead of the bed or even the table; and the table was directly in front of a wall mirror, so we sat and watched ourselves eat.
Then, even though the state of Massachusetts was completely open for business, the hot tub and restaurant remained closed during the nor'Easter we had all weekend.
When we tried to shower, there was no hot water. It wasn't even tepid. And there were no guest robes to ameliorate that, even at the cost of more than $400 per night.
The balcony overlooking the beach? It was just big enough to sit in two chairs with our knees pressed against the front railings.
Given all that, I decided to ask for one extra hour to check out on our last morning, just to see what the staff would say, and they (not surprisingly) refused.
I recommend avoiding a miserable stay at the Nantasket Beach "Resort."

I had my wedding here this year. The entire process was so complicated from the hotel constantly changing pricing to not choosing a food vendor until extremely close to my wedding date. The food vendors didn’t even provide the correct beef meal my husband and I selected at our tasting. Staff members went in and out of my bridal suite and concierge gave out my room key without prior approval. This resulted items going missing, like the 3 foot bow to my wedding dress and my outfit I got ready in, which the hotel refused to take any responsibility for. Not only did items go missing from my room, but another one of my guest’s rooms too. We called within 36 hours to report the missing items but was told the hotel claims no responsibility for ‘lost items.’ Clearly there’s a security issue within this establishment. My night itself was fun but I credit that to the people we invited and the outside vendors we hired. The location is nice and photos came out beautifully, but I would not let that be your selling point to choose this venue.

Not sure if the gave up for the off season, or if they don’t try year round. Was given towels with holes, sheets with holes, dirty bandaid on the bathroom floor and no toilet paper rolls beyond the half roll provided. Housekeeping came after 5p, despite asking for morning service. Make sure they give you the water bottles you’re charged for daily, tap water isn’t good. I would not stay again, look for an Airbnb.

I was a bride a couple weeks ago for my wedding at a nearby restaurant. My family and bridal party stayed at the resort in a room block, and it was an absolute nightmare.

I listed everyone who would be in each room for the room blocks for an easier check-in, but instead the hotel only took the first names listed. As my bridal party and family arrived, they had to call the individual person listed for their rooms to call the resort and give permission to enter their hotel rooms. I also said I would pay for the rooms, and my card info was taken, but individual bridal party members were asked to provide cards for a deposit. They ended up being charged for their rooms. I had to stay and arrange payments, therefore causing me to be an hour late for my own rehearsal dinner. One of my bridesmaids had an overdraft fee as a result of the unexpected charge.

The fire alarm went off at 10pm Friday night because there was construction going on in one of the hotel rooms that set it off. Some of the rooms did not have hot water, and one of my bridesmaids found old food leftover in their fridge.

When my husband and I booked one of the suites, we were told a month later that the suite was booked for one night during our stay, the evening before the wedding. When we looked back at the contract, it showed we didn't have that room for the night, which they did not mention to us at all. In the end, they said they fixed the issue and we were all set for our 4 night stay. The suite was perfect for my bridesmaids and I to get ready before the wedding, but when we requested room service, they refused to come up and drop off toilet paper; we were told we had to get it ourselves, while we were getting makeup and hair done.

The day after, we requested house keeping to change our sheets and only our sheets. It took three calls, a walk down to the front desk, and 4 hours before house keeping finally came, and they told us no one alerted that we needed them sooner.

The front desk staff was rude and I felt very judged, a "bridezilla," not a feeling a bride wants on her wedding weekend. I felt I had a solid plan with the manager I was in communication with for months, but it appeared none of it was communicated. It took over a week for me to finally get a hold of a manager and reverse the card transactions for my bridal party.

Brides and grooms, if you want a stress-free wedding weekend, book somewhere else. Don't let the reputation of this resort's location fool you!

This "Resort", makes you pay for amentities, such as pool/hot tub usage, only to not be able to use due to cleanliness. Pool was green and cloudy, bottom couldn't be seen. Hot tub was only partially filled, dirt visible on the seat shelf/bottom. Rooms were clean, but housekeeping didn't clean our room the couple of days we were there. The trash was overflowing. Had to ask for clean towels. There aren't any smart TVs, so bring a streaming device for those rainy days. If you can overlook those issues, it is in a great location right across the street from the beach.

Pros: Right across the street from amazing spacious beach front.
Partially renovated and clean.
Walking distance to everything in Nantasket Beach area.
Friendly staff for our 4 day 3 night visit.
Quiet establishment as well.
Several designated parking areas for the resort.

These cons may be due to covid times? We are unsure but we are listing as part of our personal experience.
Cons:
Housekeeping didn't check on us once in our entire stay.Had to ask for fresh towels. Once we asked, we had the towels within minutes.
Amenities were listed but not open/ really offered. i.e. Hot tub, hotel restaurant/bar. Communication to notify of these lacking amenities did not happen. Once we asked, we were told restaurant was closed due to staffing issues. Maybe covid related??
Pricing. Absolutely over priced for the current state of this "resort" While we understand this current pandemic, the prices should reflect the lack of amenities and the covid pandemic times.
While we were there we kept saying to ourselves "I wonder if they are done remodeling or did they run out if money?" It seems as they are in between deciding to upgrade or stay status quo.
Overall we had no issues other than our concerns mentioned above.
We are undecided if we'd stay again.
Be aware and call them directly with any questions or concerns.

If you are taking the ferry from Hull or Hingham to Logan Airport, it takes about an hour or more. When you arrive at the Logan Airport dock, there is a Massport bus that makes a circle around the airport, stopping at terminals A through E. E is the international terminal and it takes about 20 minutes to a half hour to get there once you board the bus. Sometimes you have to wait 15 minutes at the dock for a bus to arrive.
