Detailed Reviews
The hotel is pretty clean in the main areas, they do not do the 24 hour coffee that I'm used to with Hilton or the cookies. Hotel is located very conveniently by the highway but also tucked off so it's still a quiet location. Restaurant/bar on site (open certain hours) laundry on site as well and a small snack shop.
Biggest Pros: Location. Short uber to both Salem and Boston, tons of food options, quiet hotel. The best part by far was the front desk staff, particularly Benjamin and Lexi. Both were super nice and helpful with any questions we had or anything we needed help with. Benjamin has good food recommendations and is knowledgeable about transit to commute into town on which options are better for going where.
Biggest Con: interior of the hotel suggests it's time for renovation but i know those take a lot of time so I try not to judge on that unless it's something that causes an inconvenience which didn't happen here. Decor in hallways and rooms was just very outdated, no big deal. Had 2 elevators that we seen, 1 was down. We preselected our room specifically to be beside the elevator and ended up having to walk the entire length of the hotel to reach the only working one. If you are on the 4th floor near 420, the noise from the maintenance shop is loud and 24/7. Once you turn the TV on you don't notice it but just a heads up in case you sleep with it off. Our room was not super clean. Coffee on the floor and wall between the beds, no mattress protectors, something on the side of the mattress, shower curtain was dirty and no hand soap. Maybe the staff was just having an off day when it came to rooms, I've only been the one time this week so I don't know enough to say it's a pattern and like i said, people have bad days.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and being such, I stay exclusively at properties across the Hilton portfolio. I like to try out different hotels in the chain when travelling. Spending a couple of days in the Boston area, I decided to try this one in Burlington.
As I always do, the day before arrival I checked in via the app, and chose my room and opted for a Digital Key. Usually, between Noon and the time I indicate arrival, I get my Digital Key on my phone. Upon arrival at the hotel after the time I was supposed to arrive I had not yet received the key. I went to the front desk I was supposed to bypass. The woman at the desk was friendly and cordial, and had to go upstairs to check the room to ensure it was ready for habitation. Turns out the housekeeping staff forgot to indicate that they were done.
The room was certainly ample sized for my needs, with plenty of space to spread out.
The bathroom had a lot of counter space, but it had some issues. The door seemed to be not closing correctly, with paint coming off the end of it. The tub would not drain during or after my shower, because the switch was not working the drain itself. Hence this is why I left housekeeping a tub with a few inches of water in it. I could not find any tool in the room to manually release the drain.
TV and WiFi worked fine, as did climate control. No noise in the hallways, and no highway noise either despite being nearby I-95/Route 128.
Overall this property is OK, but it might be getting near time for some rehab work and staff retraining to keep things working correctly.

Stayed here for three nights, party of 4. When the hotel was booked in early July I received an email from them stating the restaurant and the pool were closed for renovations. I contacted the hotel regarding a discount on the stay as those amenities had been something we wanted. I was told no discount could be offered but that they offered a complimentary grab and go breakfast. On arrival at the hotel we were told that the rooms were not being attended to daily for cleaning, replenishing etc so we needed to ask at front desk for more towels, toilet paper and so on.
The carpeting in the whole hotel needs to be replaced. Once in the room, I did need to clean the bathtub and wipe down bathroom counter.
The grab and go breakfast was the same every day (bagel, juice, yogurt, blueberry muffin and cereal bar) which is better than nothing but some variety even in flavour of muffin or cereal var would have been good.
Location was decent. Close to the mall and a Dunkins just a few minutes walk away.

Cat, thank you for your review. We appreciate that you were willing to recognize the small efforts we've made to overcome our own issues. Yes, many expected guest amenities like pool and restaurant are closed and yes carpeting needs to be replaced. The plan is to get all amenities updated and upgraded, remodeled and renovated, and the whole property made brand new again! We have many years of neglect to overcome and we will! We hope you try us again next year when we complete our multi million dollar renovation! We're excited at what this hotel will become! Thank you!

Cleanliness is a major concern. The first room we checked into had a cigarette butt on the floor, trash that wasn’t picked up, dirty bathroom counter, hair on the pillow case. Sheets and pillowcases looked like they were recently slept in without being washed. There were no apologies by staff but they gave us a second room . Unfortunately, it was only marginally better. The floors definitely had not been cleaned. Good thing we brought our own toiletries because the built in shampoo/ conditioner/soap bottles in the shower were nearly empty. Water pressure was so low you couldn’t be in a hurry. It took forever to get wet and of course even longer to rinse the soap/ shampoo off. The AC unit had a terribly funny smell. Makes you wonder if there is mold. We were given bath mats in place of bath towels a couple of times and once were given hand towels as a substitute for washcloths. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. We didn’t even consider breakfast. Besides the cleanliness issues of the hotel, they charge $17 per person. For that amount of money you can hit Dunkin Donuts or IHOP and have some money left over. If you are one to read reviews prior to booking, then heed my warning. If not, you will have regrets.

The rooms were not cleaned. There was trash and filth on the floors and the rooms stunk. The beds had hairs and the sheets had not been changed. There were no bath towels or washcloths available so we were given bath mats to bathe with. Absolutely ridiculous. The staff did not seem to care at all. Will never be back to this hotel.

Pros: very decent hotel, mostly clean and in good shape, renovated 3-4 years ago. Decently sized parking lot, parking included. Heating/cooling works well. Good wifi. Love contactless check-in and having the room key in my hilton iphone app.
Cons: no free food or drink offered, even the two bottles of water in room are only free for diamond members. Very skimpy on toilet paper, toiletries, tissues. In fact, the maid stuck 2 bunched up tissues into the empty tissue box (see pic). The front desk people are a bit grumpy, and act like the guest saying hi is an imposition.

I don't know where to begin. I was there with my dog - so I was placed as far away from the front desk as possible. Fine. None of the outdoor key entries worked, so I had to walk around to the front EVERY single time to walk the dog. All in all - round trip - about 1/4 mile.
I got back to the room and I thought I saw a mouse, but it was just out of the corner of my eye, so I didn't think about it.
When I asked if I could extend my stay a day, they said no problem. Not only did they not extend my stay, they charged me for a separate day AND charged me another pet fee of $99 - which I paid on my first reservation.
So my dog was going nuts when I put her on the floor. Barking, whining, not her usual behavior. I look down and there is a brown mouse, very much alive, looking back at me.
I complain to the front desk an they said they'd send maintenance up. They never came. So I went down to the front desk and said I was leaving and that they could go up now. New front receptionist had no clue as to what I was talking about.
I got back and asked if the problem was taken care of. He said they sent maintenance up and they didn't find anything.
They didn't offer me a new room.
I brought the dog into the room, she went nuts. So I put her up on the bed. I left her food on the floor though. When I woke up, most of the food was gone and there was a hole in the mat I left it on. Neither my dog nor I had consumed it.
I called Mass Dept. of Health and I hope they will straighten this out.

So sorry to hear about your negative experience at our hotel. We did notify our Ecolab pest control company, right away and they are addressing and taking care of the issue. There is an environmental protected marshland area right behind our hotel, but our preventive pest control team has been on top of it and will revisit all the exterior areas again. Thank you for your feedback and our apologize for the situation you faced during your stay.

This was tough to rate. If I based it on the 1st night there I would have given it a 1. The thermostat didn’t work, the bed was horridly uncomfortable, the fridge didn’t work and hummed loudly all night and I was next to the elevator that sounded liked a scene from a horror movie every time it was used….but…I asked to be moved and the next room was just fine. Only issue is there is construction so beware. I didn’t find it that noisy except the day I was leaving and heard a saw at 7am. They also turned the water off from 10-4 but that didn’t affect me as I wasn’t in the hotel during those hours and they did give me 24 hours notice. They are giving free breakfast as a “sorry for construction” which is nice but if this is the normal breakfast they serve I wouldn't pay the 20.00 they told me last time it would cost. It’s just a normal hotel breakfast nothing fancier than hotels that offer free breakfast. Hopefully they will continue to offer free breakfast after Reno’s. Only complaint about the construction was they repainted the lines in the parking lot without saying anything so when I came back at night half the parking lot was roped off and it didn’t look like there was a parking spot. I would have appreciated a heads up about that. I ended up at the end of the parking lot trying to squeeze a truck into 1 of 2 spaces left. Please be aware there are people that drive trucks (quite a few gaged by the vehicles in your lot) it would be nice to have some spots that have wider spaces to accommodate not smashing doors with the car next to us.

Clean, comfortable, affordable and accomodating. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For some reason the ATM machine on site couldn't read my card, and I needed cash to do laundry. Rather than having to leave late at night and find another ATM, the gentleman at the front desk simply went out back and gave me more than enough quarters, from what I'd assume was a petty cash box, to get my laundry washed and dried. I asked him to please charge the dollar amount to my room, but he said it was absolutely unnecessary, and he was glad to help. That made my life so much easier than I can say. (I made sure to get cash from another ATM early the next morning so I could tip the housekeeping staff)

Been in the location a while ago. However this location has been down the hill. Pool was close (my kids was expecting to spend some time at the Pool) In which ruined the whole weekend. Didn't informed prior of making the reservation. As a gold member breakfast is including however the dining room was close and whatever grab and go breakfast was gone at 8 am in the morning, The a/c unit is falling apart at the room, the water on the tub wasn't draining... And the room rate wasn't helping at all

Responded 17 Aug 2022
Al, we understand your frustration. As the new General Manager, I agree, this hotel should provide the expected amenities. Unfortunately, some had to be closed for circumstances we inherited as new owners. This hotel still operates as a Hilton Garden Inn and will provide the best we are able to under our circumstances. All facets of this hotel are about to be upgraded and renovated to exceed what any current HGI has. We hope you come again next summer and see for yourself what we really can do for our guests! Thank you.

I dont know if there is a free shuttle from the hotel. My suggestion is to call or email the hotel directly. I do know they could arrange transport for you. Whether it is free or not I don't know. Also, you might try contacting the Leahy Clinic Customer service desk. There is Mass Transport in Boston proper to locations around Boston. Although I doubt this would be available in Burlington, Leahy might now of some hospital transport in and around the area you are unfamiliar with. Also, ask hotel for better rates for a medical stay . They offer them at some Boston hotels if you are having a procedure. Again, not sure about this hotel in Burlington, but worth a try. Rate is much less than regular rate, but you will definitely need to show proof. (i/e/ hospital bill or appointment etc). Hope this helps
yes it was working over Christmas
Best to contact hotel directly and speak to General Manager
Well Jessica, I admit you have me stumped with this question. I would suggest you call the hotel directly for that answer, or at least, call the Hilton 800 number for a guideline. I dare say Im not sure I. Would know that answer for any hotel we've stayed at. But I'm sure at least the 800 Hilton operators would be able to help answer that question
