The Homewood Suites, Boston-Billerica is a 147 all-suite hotel located approximately 20 miles north of Boston within a quiet suburban area. We are only 5 minutes away from shopping malls, movie theaters, many options for casual and fine dining as well as historical Lexington, and Concord. We offer a complimentary shuttle service within a 5 mile radius of the hotel, 7AM-7PM during the weekdays and weekend hours may be limited. Our suites offer fully equipped kitchens with service for four, the option of one king bed or two double beds in a separate bedroom area, a separate livingroom area with a pull-out couch and a flat screen television within each room. Thus hotel was amazing and had everything that I needed. It included many different amenities such as, a full breakfast that was amazing. As well as a pool, fitness center and outdoor space where you can grill .

Have stayed here numerous times over the last 6 years since it is near my work place. Nice rooms and usually very well kept by housekeeping.Recently they have been renovating rooms to update them. Last stay got one of the renovated ones, really not that different from what they were before, still well kept and look a little better. Bathrooms are nice and no problem getting hot water. Beds are just right for me, not too soft or broken in and not too firm. Pillows are not too flat or too firm, don't need more that one to sleep on back. Air conditioning and heat have always worked well and are fairly quiet. New couches seem a little longer than the old ones but still comfortable. TVs are nice. Only problems ever encountered over the years is twice dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher. Free food downstairs is ok but not the best; lots of dining within quick 5 min drive but not really within easy walking distance.
If written before last two stays, I would rate 4 or 5 stars. Had to drop to 3 stars due to late night noise (11PM-2AM) from banging. Don't know whether they are renovating rooms at night or cleaning at night or just unlucky enough to be under someone who was in the bathroom a lot. Even with earplugs, it was enough to wake me up multiple times. Have driven by the hotel at between 5 and 6AM in the morning and seen way more lights on and drapes open than would normally expect, so wondering whether they are cleaning at night now. Without this, again this is very nice place to stay.
If really sensitive to noise, the Doubletree Inn across the street is a very nice alternative although rooms are not as spacious and the air conditioning/heaters are on the older side and can rattle. The Hampton Inn next door is also nice but the soundproofing between the floors is not as good as Homewood suites and it sounds like an apartment in that you can easily hear people walking around.

Suite style motel in wooded area north of Boston proper. Had afull kitchen with some utensils. Others I had to ask for. When I asked for housekeeping to tidy up the room and run the dishwasher while I would be out, I was told "no, we're understaffed and only maintain the rooms of those with extended visits." Even the breakfast bar seemed seemed to lack adequate upkeep. One morning no bakery items. So I rate this to be only an average lodging. But parking is ample and free. And rifle fire might be heard on some mornings.

Looks nice, but this property is tired and needs an update. However, that’s not the only reason why it rates a “2”. Really wanted to give this a “1”, but there were some bright spots. Bright spots include courteous staff, nice patio area, fitness center, looks nice on the outside and indoor pool. Now to the dim spots: nowhere on it’s website does it mention that the “hot” breakfast is not the usual Homewood Suites breakfast setting. I was informed at check in that breakfast is “grab and go”. I specifically selected Homewood Suites because of the breakfast service. On top of that, the breakfast area was not clean. See the picture of the microwave that guests are “invited” to use to warm up the breakfast sandwiches. Hilton has all of my information and could have easily contacted me via email, phone or text to let me know that the hotel is not full service. They didn’t. So, breakfast and lack of communication about the breakfast situation is strike 1. The next issue is that there is no daily room service. I understand that’s becoming a new normal and COVID is the excuse, but really it’s a lack of staffing and a cost saving measure. At the very least have someone check in to see if clean towels are needed and empty the trash. So, that’s Strike 2. Strike 3 has to do with the physical condition of the hotel. The carpet is worn and some hallways have significant signs of disrepair. See the photos. This property is charging the standard Homewood Suites rate as if guests were receiving the standard services that Homewood Suites are supposed to provide. This property is not delivering on the brand’s promises and is overpriced for what you get. There are other options in the area. Certainly all of these issues can be addressed. However, I won’t know if they are because I won’t be staying there again.

The carpet was worn, kitchen appliances cheap and some were non-functional. I travel a good deal and Homewood Suites usually delivers good to great quality depending on area. Not so at this location. Check in was great and customer service was as well, so that's something.

Love the fact that the bedroom is separated by a door. Large rooms. No waffles for breakfast if that is something you like to have. Reasonably clean. Needs upgrades for the cabinets in the kitchen and the tv needs streaming capabilities to watch netflix or amazon prime. The kitchen backsplash needs a good scrubbing as there is stuck on grease above the hot plate. The carpet is stained, old and needs replaced. Not worth the price charged.

Only redeeming factors were the pool and hottub. Not enough silverware and plates in the room for the 7 people in our party. No paper towels in the room. No dishwashing liquid in the room. No blankets and pillows for sleeper sofa in the room. Suite was supposed to be handicap accessible and all the dishware was stored on the highest shelf??? Front desk staff could have been a painting on the wall, did not interact with us at all and acknowledge us leaving. Strange doors in the front entrance, hard to get through.

We stayed here as part of a group rate for an ice hockey tournament. The trouble began with checking in. The room was not available for several hours upon arrival. The pool was broken and they said the were waiting on a part. Several families were allowed to cancel and choose other accommodations. The breakfast was subpar and consisted of green bananas and trial size yogurt and oj. The remotes in the room did not work and is was difficult to get staff to repair them. The staff and guests use the outdoor couches adjacent to the lobby to smoke so the lobby smells of cigarettes. The rooms and not cleaned everyday and the trash is overflowing out of the cans. The Hampton Inn right next door is a much better choice.

The first room I had, I found someone's underwear in the closet. there was nobody at the front desk at 1030-11pm. Once the person showed up, I was given a new room. The toilet in the new room seemed like it was not flushed. After flushing, I realized it was either needing a deep cleaning or a replacement.

Very friendly staff and wonderful breakfast! Good social in evening with comp dinner and drinks. Good location for our needs :) We stayed in a suite and enjoyed the separate rooms for our family. Noise was pretty much non existent during sleeping hours.
