Very good hotel for a quick overnight stay while traveling. Rooms are decent size, everything you need for the night! Did not use the pool, but looked like a good size, as well as fitness center. Breakfast at Holiday Inn Express hotels are a very good and nice incentive to stay at this chain of hotels in the future. Would stay again

I drove out to Cumberland to get my driver's license renewed at their MVA. As it was a 2 and a half hour drive for me and didn't want to take a chance on traffic the day of my appointment with MVA (it was in the morning), I drove out in the evening and stayed 1 night here.
When I arrived, I found plenty of parking spaces so no problems there.
My check in went very smoothly and, I found the receptionist very courteous and helpful.
When I got to my room, I found a sticker sealing it that said the room had been sanitized. When I entered the room, I found it immaculate and tastefully decorated. The room had a single cup Keurig machine with 2 Green Mountain coffee k-cups and a Bigelow English Breakfast Tea k-cup. I'd heard every room has a Keurig machine and had brought a couple of my own to take advantage of it.
I tried the hotel's free Wi-Fi and found it worked fine.
The hotel offers a free breakfast and I decided to try it out the next morning. Some items like the omelets and sausage were served by a courteous masked and gloved food server. Others, patrons could get themselves. Social distancing was in force but, I was the only one in the dining room so, this wasn't an issue. Overall, I found the free breakfast pretty good.
When it came time for check out, it went equally smoothly. And, I was on my way within 5 minutes.
Overall, I was really pleased with this Holiday Day Inn Express. My rate was $85 for the night which I thought was a good deal. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Cumberland area.

Excellent stay! Super clean, big room. Spotless bathroom, lots of towels, i love all the Dove soaps, lotion, shampoo, body wash. Pillows are good but the mattress maybe could use a topper. The pool is heated, hot tub is very spacious and hot (all open until 11pm which is rare) they also have a gym. The breakfast is one of the best compare to similar hotels (the hours I think 6am till 10am) They have hot omelets, bacon, beef patties, hash browns, biscuits, cinnamon buns (fresh made and packaged), pancakes, oatmeal, juices coffee, milk, cereals, yogurt. The best thing I ever seen in any hotels: bread, bagels, muffins are all packed in individual zip locks. Even syrops, nuts and raisins are divided in small portions and small containers. The lady who was working breakfast buffet was relentless keep refilling and cleaning tables. The only complaint is the AC, when it starts working, sounds like a jet engine. We are heavy sleepers so it didn't bother us that much. The nicest lady who checked us in and checked out (I think her name is Carmelita) said they planning to upgrade as it a common complain. She also helped us with our door by reprogramming me. Ans she signed me up for a IHG rewards, although I booked this stay with a 3d party, but as per policy, you can still earn the points. I wish that would be offered in other Holidays Inn I stayed throughout the years. She also granted us a late check out. Overall we loved it and definitely will stay here next time.

The hotel itself was very clean. Our room was clean and cozy I enjoyed the Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash that was available for dispensing in the shower and then the Dove body lotion that was also available after showering. The room was comfortable and well lit with a nice size TV. The complementary breakfast was great. Pancakes, sausage gravy, biscuits, bacon, eggs, ham along with traditional breakfast cereals, muffins, breads, coffee's and juice plus much more. The staff was friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. I definitely recommend and will stay again at the Holiday Inn Express in LaVale, MD.

Just had 3 nights at Holiday Inn Express Staff was great my room was clean and bath room well stock and again clean Bed comfy and good TV Nice breakfast set up , it good to see they are still using some safe guards to help protect employees and guest Nice restaurant next door and few others short walk. Gas station and car wash block away This property i would suggest you book early It sells out , located on Rt 40 Just short distance to Int 68 I would stay here again . Also i like to add a public service ad (this can happen at any Hotel) Be gentle when closing your Door, Don’t let it slam please . Especially at 5-6 am Also Great scenic train ride near bye

Me, my husband and 2 teenage daughters stayed for a night. At check in, we were given a larger room than originally booked by the desk associate, which was very nice. Our room was clean and spacious and very quiet. The pool area was clean and although the water was cold, our one daughter did enjoy it. The hot tub was closed due to Covid. The breakfast was served to us by a very friendly staff member who was very busy., but made sure everyone had what they wanted and needed. I am sure staff shortages caused her to be doing this by herself. If you need to be in the area, a stay here would not be a mistake.

I loved the personal attention to detail so had trouble using my key the young lady at the desk met me at my door & made sure I could get in Everyone was helpful the breakfast person even made sure I had the items contents to make informed choices between the breakfast items For anyone else with a dairy allergy. They stock Almond Milk Here!!!! I slept well with the thoughtful choice if pillow firmness embroidered on the pillowcases Sustainable practices for dispensing shampoo and other amenities

Was up in Cumberland for the day. Shopping, sightseeing and lunch. Booked this Holiday Inn Express through the IHG website of which I’m a member. Checked in at 3:30. Although I had replied to email the day before, to be notified when my room would be ready, I never received a reply. However, my room was ready when I arrived. Greeted at the front desk and check in was quick. Room was nice and A/C felt great. My only complaint about the room was that the bathroom sink did not appear to have been cleaned after the previous guest. There was still toothpaste in the sink. Kinda gross, but I took a wash cloth and wipe it out. The rest of the room was clean and comfy. Hotel was nice & quiet, which I appreciated after a long day. Breakfast the next morning was good. Hot and crispy bacon. Good scrambled eggs. With the exception of the dirty sink, I would stay here again if in the area. Just a little more attention to details. All in all a good night’s stay.

The room was very clean and big enough for our 3 kids plus 2 adults. The pillows was so nice and soft. The front desk staff was also amazing especially the one girl I think she said her name was mandee she had the best attitude and personality I've seen on a person working at a hotel in a long time.

Amazing customer service by a very nice employee Ty who gets extra credit for his great service can do positive attitude. I would give this person a raise he did such a great job. His professionalism and genuine concern for each customer was evident and I expect great things for his future.
