I thought the staff was very nice. I had no problems with my credit card as they always ask to slide a card when I check in. I used Wyndham points that were charged correctly. I was offered a restaurant list, although I used a delivery website that offered delivery deals. I came in at 9pm.
Also, I travel with my dog, and even housekeeping made her feel welcome rather than hissing at her as in the past. I bring extra supplies to keep the room clean and appreciated this.

We needed a clean, safe place to stay for the night as we were driving through. We got a cleanish, safe enough (because nothing happened to us) place to stay for the night.
We checked in at 1 am and the front doors were completely unlocked even though there is a sign that says to use the buzzer after 11 pm.
The hallway to our room reeked of smoke, food, and weed. Then our room smelled like smoke. I’m a former smoker and can usually deal with it but the smell of this room literally woke me up in the night.
I kept our suitcases zipped to keep out the smell as best I could.
There is free lot parking on site but we paid for the garage across the street to keep our packed van in sight and off the street level just in case. It was $8.
As others have said COVID-reduced breakfast is a banana, granola bar, and water bottle. One of our bags we grabbed just had a water bottle. Better than nothing I suppose, which is where my expectation level went after being in our room.
The wallpaper was peeling, clearly the building has been haphazardly kept together, likely by staff that don’t get paid enough to care.
It did the job but I definitely don’t recommend it and would suggest trying the Fairfield Inn across the freeway for a few dollars more.

The hotel looks nice from the outside. It’s when you get a room and use the elevator that you realize this hotel has seem better days. My room was ok nut there were a couple of holes in the curtains that may have been caused by cigarettes. The curtains wouldn’t close so little light came into the room. There appeared to be mold in the bathroom. The door was also delaminating at the base. Was not able to plug in the clock so it was useless. Breakfast consisted of a bag with a bottle of water, a piece of fruit and a breakfast bar. Even though other hotels have resumed their breakfast service this has not.

Staying at the Ramada in Cumberland was exactly the type of experience we were looking for - safe- clean and family friendly during a pandemic. Great location and in walking distance to the center of town. Nice, wrapped continental breakfast bag. Very pleased!

My girlfriend and I visited this hotel last week.. The lobby is well done, but the bar was closed (on a Friday night?). The room looked fine upon checking in; nothing special but OK. The helpful desk clerk suggested a restaurant nearby which turned out to be fairly good. We went back to the room, intending to get a good night's sleep. That's when all hell broke out.
This hotel is located a few hundred feet from active railroad tracks. As in active I mean active; not just running through, but apparently loading and/or unloading, whistles and high volume train noise. This alone was enough to interrupt our sleep on a regular basis. Then the in-room HVAC system kicked in. As any experienced traveler knows, these things cycle. I get this. But, when this one started up it sounded like a small diesel engine in the corner of the room. Each time it did so it woke us up from whatever sleep we'd had. Between the trains and the diesel engine, I may have gotten 2 hours sleep - in 20 minute increments.
Avoid this place at all cost unless you're a true night owl and like obnoxious, loud noises from various sources.

Thank you for your comments and we apologize that you did not enjoy your stay. First let us esure you this is not the service we expect from the staff members. This time of year it is slow enough that we should be able to locate you away from the rails so that you are not interrupted by the noise from the trains. Also, because things such as the bar and kitchen have been closed it times, mainly because the expense often out ways the cost we do receive these types of reviews especially in the slower months, but we do try to direct people to restaurants that are close and in walking distance. We are looking to upgrade the hotel and hope that happens in the near future, anyway we will share your comments with the staff so that we can correct the items that are within are capabilities. Thanks again.

Went to Cumberland the weekend of 8/12/2021 for a music festival. Hotel is worn, but that was not a big problem. The first thing, is most of the amenities on the web site, e.g., pool, bar, restaurant, breakfast, are all suspended due to Covid. Why not update the web site if this has been the situation for so long? The "breakfast" was a wrapped apple, a banana, a skinny granola bar, and coffee. Thankfully, McDonalds is only two blocks away.
Only one elevator was working, and my floor did not light up when you pressed the button. The elevator was out for some hours on Friday and went out completely sometime in the early evening on Saturday and was down until I left the next morning. A/C did not keep up with the heat in what was a small room (Queen bed). A/C also went down on Saturday evening and was not working by the time I left the next day. The room was a sweat box and you can't open any windows. Wi-Fi also crashed on Saturday and was not working when I departed.
Room on its own was clean. Though I had no sheer curtains. For privacy I had to pull the normal curtains, which I did anyway to block the sun. Later I visited my friends and they had sheers. Why the inconsistency? The shower head leaked.
I know Ramada is not a high end hotel but it usually had a minimum standard of service that suited me. I was disappointed with this hotel and won't return. I’m going back in a few months to Cumberland and already booked into the Marriott. The only saving grace for this hotel is that it was in a great central location. But that meant little when I was waking up soaked in sweat in a room without A/C in August.
Do not get the back side of the hotel! Train tracks run along this side and it seems most of the rail traffic passes in the early morning hours. It is loud! I travel with a white-noise maker and even that was unable to muffle the rail traffic.
I did file a complaint with corporate but got some reply saying the hotel would reply in so many days blah blah blah. Unless they want to refund me for Saturday then I’m done with it.

Had stayed here in 2018 and it was an affordable option while riding the bike trail.
Was supposed to stay here for two nights the first week of August 2021. After entering my room, saw there were more than a half dozen noticeable stains on the top sheet of the bed. Spoke with the front desk staffer who was incredibly gracious, and told me they would bring a new top sheet up.
After removing the top sheet, the sheet below it had fewer stains but they were bigger including two that were a suspicious yellow color. When the staffer arrived, I told her I was checking out because the bedding was disgusting. She was very apologetic and understanding.
Since I booked my room through HotelTonight, it was the third party who dealt with the refund. The hotel was only willing to provide a refund for one night.
It may cost a little more, but just stay at the Fairfield Inn in Cumberland.

Outdated hallways need to be clean carpet clean the ice machine didn’t work on our floor the only one that did work was on the sixth floor this hotel 10 days later attempted to charge my debit card and additional stay. Thank goodness for bank alerts when I called the owner told me he could charge what he wanted and take it up with Expedia. I ultimately called Wyndham corporate. They assured me it would not happen again but I changed all of my banking info do not patronize this establishment I’m sure there are plenty of other places in that area that are better than this one.

We arrived at 7:15 on, after driving 10 hours, it was 40 degrees outside. The doors were jammed, we had to ring the buzzer 3 times only to hear a shout from inside the lobby "HOLFD THE F#*! ON!" Some lady came to the door, kicked it open, stomped off behind a door, and slammed the door shut. She proceeded to check us in with attitude. I tripped on a floor sign on the way to the elevator. Good
The room had a TV unplugged, clearly not working and a dog barked from the connecting room. Bed was comfortable but that is the only positive thing I can say.

I needed to travel recently and was pleasantly surprised by the price and accommodations here, however there is a major flaw.
I booked a non-smoking room and was surprised to walk down the hall to my room and smell smoke clearly coming from a nearby room. Not long afterward, the smell was IN my room and then there was also marijuana smoke too. I called the front desk who basically said there was nothing they could do except let me change rooms if I wanted to do so. I found this unacceptable and irresponsible. The smoker(s) should be required to move! Grrrr
