Property and room clean, nice and comfortable decorating, beds and pillows. Easy access from main roads. Nice selection of restaurants in area- both Mom and Pops as well as National chain companies. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

My wife and I stayed 1 night with a hotel Pre Pay. Nice masked receptionists quickly processed our payment and issued our key card. We took a bag trolley up one of the 2 elevators to the 4th floor and broke the 'covid-cleaned' door seal to our requested 'quiet' #425, a large carpeted room. The comfortable king had a cold refer, micro, coffee and a fully equipped bathroom with quick hot water, shower and tub. The huge TV had scores of Direct Channels, nice window AC and great WiFi. The lobby had convenience foods for purchase as well as complimentary bananas/oranges, teas and coffees.
I used their clean indoor pool and saw the 5 station workout room with the self-service laundry next door.

Not your average Hampton. This newly built hilltop hotel provides commanding views of the valleys around. Beautiful for sunrises and sunsets.
From the moment you enter the hotel, the premises looks clean and well kept. The staff are helpful and friendly, which just adds to the great experience that we had. The rooms are basic Hampton rooms, so things like square footage and mattress are standard. A family of 4 will feel crowded in a 2x queen room.
If there's anything negative to note, the post-COVID (July 2021) breakfast was a welcome return, but the staff ran out of some items by 09:30. There's also nothing in immediate vicinity of the hotel, so you need to drive into Cumberland for food or attractions or gas or really Anything.

Always stay at a Hampton Inn whenever I can. This stay the main hotel internet service did not work. Error message kept coming up "invalid address reset wireless adapter" It wasn't my laptop because I could access the WiFi in lobby and meeting room. Instead of calling their ISP or internet service people to fix the problem they moved me to a room over the lobby and told me to use that network. It was slow, and spotty for the three days I stayed with constant disconnects. I would have left but reserved room through a third party and couldn't get refund. Staff was patronizing about the problem too acting like I didn't know what I was talking about. Annoying to say the least..won't be back to this location.

Like many other reviewers have said, the hotel was very clean and fresh. The rooms were modern and I loved the attention to detail with extra drawers and storage for things that I haven’t seen at other hotels before. The breakfast selection was okay since I know covid has made serving breakfast difficult. Some boxes of breakfast cereal and milk for the kids (and grown-ups) would have rounded out the selection nicely. We had a fantastic stay though and can’t wait to visit again!

Of course the rooms were nicely appointment and cleaner than clean and the 4 hour full breakfast buffet is very good, but the most outstanding part of the stay was the kindness of the staff during this family visit for my Mother's Memorial Service. They gave us late check out so we could linger at the church with those who travelled far.
They allowed us to gather in the reception room afterwards to have family time in a relaxed atmosphere and CHILL.
Key staff were Les and Amanda and I'm sure I forgot other names. They couldn't have been kinder or more caring.
When we checked into our rooms, a beautiful sympathy card was waiting for us.
P.S. For those who like to gamble....a free shuttle comes to the hotel to pick up guests for the 15 minute ride to Rocky Gap Casino!

This is a pet friendly hotel. Good location easy access to the highway or over the hill to Cumberland.
The staff was mostly polite and efficient, happy to provide water or forgotten toiletries.
Well stocked and maintained breakfast with typical buffet choices - bagels, toast, muffins, egg, potato, meat, cook your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, tea.
The pool (inside only) was a bit chilly if you didn’t keep moving, there were plenty of towels, chairs and even tables and chairs just outside.
The fitness room looked nice - Precor machines.

Beds and linens very good as one would expect from a Hampton inn. Even though it is close proximity to Amir roadway, once inside noise is minimal. Only issue was we could hear people above us walking around in their room. Breakfast was the hot buffet with several hot choices and the eating area was very open and roomy. Hot beverages were available in the lobby all the time.

We go to Maryland a lot because we have family there. We have always stayed at Sleep Inn or Rocky Gap (with no problems). Rocky Gap was full over the 4th of July weekend and I thought we would try something new and booked two nights at this hotel.
The good: Most of the staff were very friendly. The hotel is exceptionally clean (kudos to the housekeeping staff).
The bad: we only stayed one night because the room above us was excessively loud!! It sounded like bowling balls being dropped on the ceiling. This lasted up until 2:30am!! I did call the front desk several times. The guy that kept answering was not friendly and just seemed annoyed we were bothered by it. I'm not sure if he actually went and spoke to the noisey guest, but perhaps maybe some training on situations like this..(i.e., guests who are loud late at night but won't stop even when being addressed).
I was informed I would not get any refund if I checked out early. I didn't check out until later the next day (since I was being charged no matter what) but we spent our second night at a different hotel.
THE WORST PART: Our horrible experience did not end there. We were charged for two nights and spent probably $20 - $30 on "extras". I checked my account the day after I got home (July 5th) and had the following charges from THIS hotel:
$588.24
$322.13
$600.00
$294.12
Like what?!!
I called and they said they did realize the mistake, and they will return the funds but it may take a few days!! How do you "accidentally" charge me that much money I'm not responsible for?! And that's a lot of money to have to wait to get back!! I will be checking my account to make sure I do in fact get the money back and I really hope I do so I don't have to call them again!
I'm not sure how they have other good reviews. My family travels every month and this is the first time I have ever had to complain, ever had to write a bad review, and ever had a hotel try charging me over a $1,000 "accidentally." Their only saving grace is their amazing housekeeping staff.
** I am now nervous about not getting my money back because I saw an older review from someone being charged twice. I may have to call my bank and take legal action (as it is over $1,000) and call corporate.

This Hampton Inn must definitely be a newly built property atop of a hill! It is right off the highway and minutes from downtown Cumberland where there were bars and pizzerias as well. The front desk gentleman that checked me in on 8/28 afternoon was extremely nice and welcoming. I did not get a chance to enjoy the comp. breakfast, but i believe they said they were back to pre-pandemic! The room was very comfortable, the only thing i would suggest is if you are a light sleeper to choose a room on the highest floor. I slept on the 2nd floor and could hear people walking in the room above me and when somebody would lay on the bed. I did notice that one of the beds in my room was a bit squeaky once you laid down on them.
