This was the seventh time that our group, The Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation, brought four Purple Heart Medal recipients down to the Saltgrass Lodge to experience a couple of days of fishing the Louisiana Marsh and enjoy some true southern hospitality. The lodge, the staff and the cuisine is all 5 star. The weather was extremely hot, but using proper precautions and staying hydrated, the two days of fishing resulted in everyone bringing home coolers of fish. At the end of the event, everyone went home with great memories of wonderful hospitality, great fishing experiences and the camaraderie of old and new found friends.

Just got through with a Veterans trip here. It's awesome. All the guides are top notch, food was incredible and both the manager Pam and the rest of the help were perfect! Going back as soon as possible, thanks Capt. Ray

Just got back from Saltgrass--went for opening weekend of second split season. Although Saltgrass is known mostly for fishing we went for duck hunting primarily with some fishing as well. The hunting was great--we got our limit (mostly Teal with some large ducks as well) within 2 hours. Our guides--Curtis and Ryan --were super both professional and very helpful. Our fishing guide Dimitri was also great with mostly specks and a few reds though I would suggest some bug spray for inshore fishing! The lodge was great as usual with excellent food and service. Planning for next year!

Six of us stayed 3 nights and 4 days at the lodge and couldn't have had a better time. The amenities were excellent and the food was beyond comparison. Thanks to Chef Kevin, we all put on a pound or two. We also fished 2 days from the lodge and limited out both days. Thanks to skippers Chief, Chris and Ike for a great time on the water. I highly recommend the Lodge for a great getaway in a relaxing environment coupled with a 5 star venue and food.

We found Saltgrass Outdoors online and it was everything we imagined. We were looking for a comfortable place to stay and Saltgrass offered great rooms, excellent food and drink, and a promise of great fishing. We were served a huge breakfast, lunch was provided for the trip and we fished with a guide from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. We left from the Venice area and ended up with some great bull reds and caught our limit of redfish while also catching some sheepshead, and black drum. The fish were cleaned and vacuum sealed for transport home. Everyone was so nice, friendly, and helpful. A shout out to Chief, Raymond, Janelle, Bernie, Tracy, and our guide Louis. Dinner the first night was huge ribeyes and the second night we had redfish with puréed eggplant, crabmeat, and shrimp side. Highly recommended.
