Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was traveling alone with a child and had booked a room at this hotel for June 15, 2023. However, when I arrived I did not feel like this was a safe location for us. I called the hotel to cancel my reservation and was told I still had to pay for a nights stay. Here it is July 13 (a month later) and they still will not refund my money. This is poor business. No one should be forced to pay for a hotel they do not feel safe at.

Hotel looks run down on the outside. Rooms were clean and updated. You have to ask for new towels every day. Breakfast was a brown bag that you take back to you room. With it being so close to the Ark Encounter that was a plus. And the price was also a plus for someone on a fixed income. We didn't mind heating up our breakfast and getting towels to save on the room. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.

Our room was not fancy. However, it was clean, I found the bed and pillows comfy. The employees at the desk were very nice. This is conveniently located for the Ark Encounter, so close you could walk to it to catch the busses. The creation museum is 43 miles away. As others said they offer a bagged breakfast. Egg sausage and cheese sandwich on a English muffin, which could be heated in your room microwave. It also included an apple, box of OJ and a muffin. Better than some hotels offer. I thought it was ok but my husband didn't like it but ate it. No pool.

We stayed here three nights. While it was conveniently located for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum, but that was about it. The bed and pillows were not comfortable and the walls super thin…the person on our right had a horrific cough and he coughed all night every night. The people working there are nice, and Billie was very helpful. The grab and go breakfast was fine if you like a frozen processed egg, sausage and cheese sandwich. My husband and Daddy ate them but my Mom and I did not. This hotel is very “tired” and needs some TLC, and I imagine once the new hotel on the Ark property opens this and the other hotel nearby will need to update in order to compete. So for the price, I would have expected a nicer stay, but for the convenience, it worked.

Positives: - Smooth and fast check-in by staff, Jennifer. She executed check-in process just as how she explained to me two hours ago when I called to inquire about it. - For those who plan to visit Ark Encounter, this hotel is a convenient location, literally diagonally across the street within walking distance to the gate. There is also a gas station next to the property. - Quiet, even though it's next to the highway, but quiet - Clean bed - Good check-out experience by Brandy as well - They offer to-go breakfast bag, which is nice Negatives: - Many hairs built up along the edges of the bathroom floor, it's not well cleaned. - Poor soundproof, you could hear people outside. It's a motel grade property. Even for motels I've seen some that were very clean. For example, Rustic Inn in Moab, Utah. Had this hotel done a better job cleaning, it would have earned a 4 out of 5 or even 5 out of 5 because there weren't any other major issues during my stay.

First, the good part...very close to the Ark Encounter (we actually walked to it from the motel), staff very friendly and helpful, quiet and peaceful. clean room, nice bed. The negative is that i reserved the room in April but didnt go until August 22. when i reserved the room, i was given a rate for the room plus the lady told me "Since your dog is so small, we wont charge for him." When we checked in, the room rate was $30 more plus they charged $15 a day for our 6 lb Yorkie. They shouldnt promise one rate and upcharge for the room and the pet. Get your room rate in writing, if possible.

The rooms were very plain and small, poor lighting, the tiles in the bathroom were cracked, the shower floor was a dirty brown, wouldn’t use the shower. No hot water on one of the evening there. The floors looked like they were updated to a grey pergo type in the last few years.

This inn was an excellent place for my wife and I to stay. Very very close to the ARK Experience which is why we were in Williamstown. Check in was great, desk person was very helpful and knew the area well. The staff was perfect! The room was squeaky clean and the microwave and fridge worked great. I loved the ceramic tiled floor and the beds were comfy as all get out. Parking was easy and right in front of the room. Looked like the structure was being updated. Well worth the money!!

Start with positives. Nice people. Good water pressure. Bed ok & clean bedding. The rest was not good. Dirty (short on help). Run down. Smelled bad (ancient couch). Bag breakfast not good either. I got a broom to sweep up floors but drew the line at the sink counter filth. Sweet desk clerk and I went to several rooms to find a cleaner one. Convenient to Ark Encounter but not worth the money! Try Dry Ridge. AiG is building a motel by the Ark and they seem to do things first rate. Tear down Sunrise.

Clean rooms, comfy beds, quiet area. Front desk people were friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast was a bag with apple, drink, breakfast bar and sandwich. Discovered a broken shower handle the next morning and they immediately addressed it. Gave us key to 2nd room to go shower while waiting for maintenance. I will definitely stay again.
